I contacted swim now and spoke to someone at length and explained that I was going on holiday and needed a one week crash course to polish up myself son’s swimming skills. I explained that I wanted all the 6 lessons in a week, that’s daily or an hour long instead od the 30 min sessions they offer. I paid the deposit and went for the taster lesson. After the taster lesson it was hard to reach them. And when I did reach them they informed me that no lessons were availabe and they couldn’t offer me the crash course all in a week. Of course my £45 deposit was not refunded because we had done the 20 min taster session.

I do recommend Swim Now. Tess is an excellent teacher to my three and six-year-old children. There has been a significant improvement since working with her in Burton.

Fantastic experience with Swim Now for my 3 year old son. Thankyou so much to Tess at Bannatynes Burton who has been so patient and given him so much confidence in the water after a bad experience with group swimming lessons elsewhere. Tess makes the lessons so much fun that I don’t think he realises he is learning new skills. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend if your child is lacking confidence in the water or not getting on well with group lessons.

Holly the swimming teacher was brilliant. My son was very nervous and holly really helped him. Now he is swimming great and is confident under water too.

Shout out to coach Ian Gateshead NCL.Ian has been an outstanding professional from day one, imagine as an adult with no confidence about swimming .His patience and guidance made every session easy productive and enjoyable.its all about commitment and been in the water will help more.my 13weeks package lessons from Feb -May were worth it, as person born in sea country couldn't swim i felt ashamed of myself. This year holidays as i visited my home town i was a confidence shark on the water.I recommend coach Ian more highly to anyone looking to learn or refine their swimming skills.

We have booked in with tess and she has been amazing and patient with our son.would advise these swim lessons as one to one experience is great.

I had lost my confidence after a couple of years of recovering from serious operations so needed some coaching back in the pool! Tess put me at ease straightaway and has really helped me with my techniques, particularly front crawl. I will continue with some adhoc classes after a much needed holiday.

Swim Now is a friendly and professional company and have responded to all my queries promptly. I have enjoyed all my lessons and after 9 sessions can do backstroke. Tess is a great teacher, patient, kind and makes lessons fun. I look forward to my swimming lessons and don’t regret my decision. Only wish I had started earlier. Thanks Tess.

Customer service is appalling.
They claim you must cancel lessons 7 days in advance! 😂 laughable when yiur child is ill the day before.

Nothing in terms and conditions about charging for lessons you cant make due to illness.

Trying to sort a refund and all you get is an extremely rude abd abrupt head of department called Amy who just constantly says "we dont do refunds" before hanging the phone up.

I managed to get some of our money back as they continued to take monthly payments after we had canceled the lessons.

But we are still owed over £90 which again Amy keeps saying we dont give refunds. Extremely rude and extremely unprofessional.

I pull Amy up about the fact there's nothing in there t&c's regarding timescale of cancelation, and nothing about being charged for these lessons!

They just seem to make rules up as they go along,teacher was clueless as to how many lessons we had left also.

Although it now only £90 owed, this company stinks and I will pursue through whatever channels I need to until we get it back.

My son had swimming lessons with these guys and in approximately 3 months he had 3 instructors!
He was making no progress at all and at £200s a month I thought i might as well call it a day.
All 3 instructors were lovely but being moved to Middlesborough was more important!

We have really enjoyed our Swim Now lessons. The children were already competent swimmers but their confidence and swimming strokes have really improved. Lillia has been a fantastic teacher. Lilia quickly understood what my children enjoyed doing and built from there. She brought stickers to help motivate the children and gave them competitions against each other and even had them answering some maths questions before being allowed to jump into the pool. We always look forward to the lessons. Thank you!

I have been a customer with Swim Now, and my experience has been extremely disappointing. The service is unprofessional and the rules constantly change depending on who you speak to.

I have had genuine reasons for needing to reschedule lessons — even once when I was having a bleeding issue and could not attend — but was told I should have called 7 days before. On another occasion, I was told cancellations must be 24 hours before. Another time, I was told 5 days before was not enough notice. There are no consistent rules, which makes it very stressful for customers.

Most recently, I was charged for a lesson I didn’t attend because I was never sent the usual plan or reminder. The only mention of the lesson was buried in a previous conversation, which is not a reasonable way to confirm a booking. I take my lessons seriously and have always attended when given proper confirmation, but this time I wasn’t given the information I needed.

When I tried to discuss this, the management argued with me instead of trying to resolve the problem. I was considering rejoining with Swim Now in Leeds, but after this experience, I will not be returning.

I signed up with Swim Now for a 3-month 1:1 swimming plan, paying £199 per month for weekly lessons. Communication was initially good, and the first few lessons went ahead as planned.

However, from late June onwards, lessons were repeatedly cancelled due to instructor illness. By late July, we had received no lessons for over six weeks, and on 21 July Swim Now confirmed all sessions were suspended indefinitely. Since then no updates, no alternative arrangements, and no contact at all.

Despite paying nearly £600, we've received only a portion of what was promised, and they have refused to refund the undelivered lessons. This is incredibly disappointing, especially for a company that markets itself as professional and customer-focused.

I would strongly advise others to think carefully before signing up, especially given their refusal to refund services not provided and lack of ongoing communication or accountability.

Very bad customer service I paid advance payment and booked introductory session which I had to reschedule couple of time due to work schedule and availability.
I heard nothing back from them in-spite of contacting several people on WhatsApp.
This shows me that they are not what they say they are in terms of caring about people but simply another money making machine !

I am over the moon with the results I’ve had over the last 6 weeks with my children’s swimming lessons. After 2 years with another company I left to try out swim now and within 6 lessons my 4 year olds confidence is amazing he’s swimming unaided and Dan at the Newport branch is absolutely amazing. He is incredible with my young one with him being someone who doesn’t concentrate well and is super active and doesn’t engage and follow instructions. I’m super happy with the service and again Dan is a outstanding teacher his patience his enthusiasm with the children is 10/10z

Learning to swim has been a lifelong dream and I am very grateful for the professionalism, flexibility and patience of the swim now staff that has enabled me to achieve this dream. As a muslim lady, I particularly liked that they had female teachers.

I had a great experience with Swim Now. My instructor, Will, deserves 5 stars as he was incredibly helpful in helping me overcome my fear of the water in such a short time. I really appreciated his calm and supportive teaching approach, which made learning to swim feel achievable and enjoyable.

The only downside was that the pool at Pace Health Club, Radisson Blu Hotel, Chicago Avenue, Manchester Airport was extremely cold, almost freezing; which made the lessons a bit uncomfortable at times.

Overall, a great experience thanks to Will’s guidance!

Paid deposit for a taster session on the 17th of May. 2 months on, chasing via WhatsApp - messages ignored. Avoid this company at all cost!

It’s such a shame Laura from customer service didn’t get back to me, after initial response, call and further text from me, as I met a representative for your company this afternoon and they were absolutely fantastic with their clients and acknowledging my young children as I was teaching them prior to their lessons next week. I wish I hired them for both of my children! I told the them, I tried to contact “swim now” and I ended up going with another company due to the lack of response. The administration team are lacking and costing the company, however the swim instructor that I met at Maida Vale Bannatyne was exceptional!!!!!

Started a couple months back after never learning to swim, my instructor is attentive to any needs, very thorough with breakdowns to technique and had me in the pool solo from lesson three and I already feel safe in a semi shallow pool. Definitely looking forward to my second stint to learn more, super flexible with time slots too 😁 very highly recommend!
