I was assisted in my purchase of my new Dacia Duster by Steve at the Tamworth branch. He was very professional and courteous and was a pleasure to deal with him. This was the first time we'd ever bought a car online from only photos and a description.
[We had been forced the buy a new car because our original car (which was brilliant btw - sailed through MOTs, had never caused us any trouble in the 8 years that we'd had it and had really low milege) was too old to be ULEZ compliant and we live within the M25.]
We looked at all the car selling sites, and read countless reviews, but found exactly what we were looking for on Carwow.
Carwow put us in touch with the Sutton Park Group and we dealt with the lovely James Blundell.
James was extremely helpful and understanding. He completely understood how nervous we were, buying a car that we hadn't test driven (Burton-on-Trent is quite a distance from us), and was very patient and reassuring.
Sutton Park Group were happy to take our original car as part exchange and we think they gave us a fair deal.
The purchase went through without a hitch and James arranged for the new car to be delivered and our old car to be collected on the date we asked for.
The driver (John) that James sent was lovely too and arrived exactly when he said he would.
We have absolutely no reservation in recommending the Sutton Park Group and Carwow. The car we bought is exactly as describe - no hidden problems or nasty surprises and the service we received was excellent! Our experience was definitely a 5 star one 👌

We have been buying cars and having services, mot’s etc done at this branch for many years, the service we receive from all the staff but especially Stuart and Debs is always exceptional! We recently had a small query and it was discussed and resolved within 15 minutes. Cannot praise Debs enough for her assistance in this matter.
Looking at some of the reviews I honestly think they have the wrong Debs or they were being a little malicious because the outcome was not why they wanted it to be.

I got a new Kia Niro EV earlier this year via a lease deal through Lex. Sutton Park were the supplying dealer.
They knowingly put a new car on the road, whilst aware of a known fault called "Zombie Mode" which renders the car useless, undriveable becase while it turns on it can't be put into drive.
I inviestigated the problem and there was no fix, so this dealer supplier a can that, if it were to present this fault, couldn't be fixed at that time because Kia were working on an update. This fault was also on the EV6 & had been a problem for over a year. Check out You Tube to see over what period exactly.
So because I'd been stranded a few times, once 40 miles from home late a night in the freezing cold, I rejected the car as being unfit for purpose.
Sutton Park requested that I returned the car to my local Kia dealership & Kia themselves monitored this, while ignoring all my attempts to contact them.
They gave me a couple of days to return the car and also find myself a replacement car because they were looking to cancel the deal not help me out because of their incompetance and willingness to put faulty cars on the road.
Because of the situation with vehicle availablity I had no option but to buy another car outright as there was no stock & Sutton Park wouldn't offer me a replacement vehicle or a loaner. In fact on raising this question they just skipped over it.
So I had to get £30k together and buy a car & of course as soon as I did this the used market for EV's started to suffer, so I'm now many £1,000's out of pocket in a relatively short time.
It seems that the car went to the only Kia owned dealership in the UK, sat there for sale for some time and then sold for almost the price of a new car, so no great loss for them.
So I was shafted by this stealership & am now in a very negative situation with the value of my replacement car.
They wouldn't even pay for my time, or my train ticket back from my local dealership. Nor did they cover the expense of me travelling nearly 100 miles by train then taxi to buy my replacement.
So while the motor industry is changing, ie the cars are more like computers on wheels the stealerships like Sutton Park are still behaving like back street car traders.
My advice; do not use this company, they just want your money.
The sales team I couldn’t fault but the service side is run by an absolute idiot, think she’s called Deb or Debbie and really shouldn’t deal face to face with people. My car was in for a speedometer check and whilst their money went missing out of my car. She basically called me a liar and said none of her staff would steal. Well I beg to differ. The whole service experience for the last 6 months or so has been poor. They say you need things doing when you don’t and when you do snd they are covered in warranty they won’t do them. Steer clear

Filled in online form this morning and asked for a call back.
Danni called and I explained that I couldn’t take the call as I was driving so I pulled over and explained I wanted to buy a new car and she said she said she call back in 30 mins.
I ended up ringing them 4 hours later and spoke to Jenny and asked where my call back was. She said she she would speak to Dani to ask.
I was then told a message was sent explaining to get back to her when I was free.
No message sent at all.
Obviously not interested in my business.
Dacia need to up their game with their franchise business especially Sutton Park.
Will be going elsewhere.

at times was not picking up my call as she could See My number and I left numerous voicemails. But at the same time used my friends phone and as she did not recognise the number she would pick up!’ I have had my car with them For so such a long time and have just parked it off to one side and have said they will not even start work on it until another 2 months!!!! If that was the case why did they lie on the first day I dropped the car off telling me they will fix it and I can pick it up the following day!!!! Avoid them at all costs unless you want to get to the stage where you want to rip
Your hair out please pick a reputable garage. I have told them this review was coming and they seemed to care even less! They lied about the work they did on my car! You can’t even make this rubbish up! I am shocked they think they can say anything and customers have no record , record the call each time you speak to them if you have to because they lie! They lied about the parts they replaced they lied about the dates they say they booked me in for and they lied about the diagnostic! I have had a terrible time with Sutton park motor company. They damaged my car and it’s cost me around £1000,00 to get it fixed elsewhere. I paid hundreds of pounds to get the car moved to a reputable garage, these people damaged parts in my engine and then said what proof so you have !!! We don’t take responsibility. They are a disgrace, I have no idea how they were approved by Kia manufacturers.
Remember when you buy a car you never meet the service team. Once you bought the car you never see the sales team but you will have to deal with this sh—-y service team. Spoke to Ian the manager he also lied about the parts they changed and denied they changed them ! I have a recording of what he said to me and he still denies saying it.
But your car from an alternative Kia dealer and go to an alternative Kia service place DO NOT COME to the Sutton Coldfield branch . Coming here is like flushing your money down the toilet I can not put it any more simpler.

The process from order to collecting the car was an enjoyable experience, Aaron made the whole process easy and informative.
Recently purchased a new hybrid vehicle and Matthew Coello was extremely helpful and patient with all my queries and personal preferences. At no point did I feel pressured or rushed into any decisions he had a consistent calm measured approach that was refreshing and stress free. Highly recommended to all
In one word "Naweed" during my six month wait for my new Dacia Duster he was always at the end of the phone letting me know the exact time it arrived. Today he picked me up from the train station sat me down with a latte and run through my new car in a breeze, which was then unveiled while he took photos and video of us admiring the car he really made a great day special for us! So thank you Naweed
Like many reviewers have commented, this dealer is great when it comes to selling cars but they fail miserably when a serious problem occurs. PLEASE AVOID!!
We bought our 3rd new Duster from their Burton branch in April 22, we had done over 150k miles in the previous 2 without any problems but after only 12 months and less than 25k miles the clutch and flywheel both went. Sutton Park immediately blamed "Driver Style" and refused to listen to the overwhelming probability that this wasn't the case given the same person had been driving the new car as the previous 2. A few days after the repair and a huge bill of nearly £2500, the red engine & temperature lights came on. Sutton Park claimed that there was a crack in the thermostat which they did repair under warranty, they also insisted that the fault was not caused by their previous repair work but they refused to confirm in writing if this could have contributed to the original issue despite numerous requests
They and Dacia are completely intransigent and totally unwillingly to consider the balance of probability which is the mainstay of English Civil Law. We have had to engage the Motor Ombudsman to try and resolve this ridiculous situation but this will take months unfortunately.
If you want a Dacia I suggest you don't use Sutton Park!!
UPDATE!
This patronising response is typical of this garage and their attempt to avoid the overwhelming probability that this WAS NOT WEAR AND TEAR. Sutton Park have constantly refused to explain how a clutch and flywheel can WEAR after 25000 miles with the same driver as 2 previous Dusters, provided by Sutton Park, that had totalled over 150,000 miles with no clutch issues. The sensible and logical answer is that there were other factors involved, including possibly the overheating of the engine due to the thermostat fault, but Sutton Park just ignore this as their response to my review clearly shows.
My son collected the car but as I have been dealing with Paul Young at Burton he would not have been completely aware of the situation.
I suggest you look a little more carefully at my email dated 24th June asking for your company's comments re the overheating and the series of emails dated 26th June trying to get a written confirmation from Paul Young.
The Ombudsman clearly thinks that there is a case to be heard as they have agreed to take the matter on , unfortunately the process can take a number of months but I am happy to wait and see common sense prevail.
