⭐ 1-Star Review: Superdry – The Gold Standard in How Not to Run a Retail Business
If I could give zero stars, I would.
In fact, I’d give negative stars just so Superdry could sink further into the abyss they seem so determined to occupy.
I placed an order. They took the money instantly — that they can do flawlessly, obviously.
Delivery? Customer service? Basic competence?
Not a chance.
My parcel was delayed, vanished into the Evri Bermuda Triangle, and when I contacted Superdry for help, I received the kind of patronising, copy-and-paste template drivel you’d expect from a company run entirely by disinterested interns on their lunch break.
Their response?
“Wait four days and then we’ll refund you if it never resurfaces.”
Ah yes — the classic Superdry shrug.
The parcel is missing?
“Oh well. Tough luck. Maybe it’ll turn up. Maybe it won’t.”
Apparently, fulfilling a contract and providing the goods I paid for is optional at Superdry HQ.
The tone was so dismissive and so utterly devoid of effort, it’s no wonder this company has been teetering on the brink of collapse. When this is the level of customer care, the real mystery isn’t why they failed — it’s how they ever succeeded in the first place.
Superdry’s attitude can be summarised as:
Take the money. Blame the courier. Offer a refund instead of fixing anything. Repeat.
It’s lazy, it’s careless, and it’s exactly why people avoid them like the plague.
To call their customer service “useless” would be an insult to useless things.
This is beyond incompetence — it’s institutional complacency wrapped in empty politeness.
Superdry, you should be ashamed.
Absolutely ashamed.
As for the future?
Let’s put it this way: I hope they do go bust — only time will tell.
Delivery of coat never arrived
Delivery of coat never arrived , just stuck in tracking in no man’s land . Cannot speak to a human , all chat bots of email ….. where no one replies . So have no coat and £140 down …… really stuck and no one to help ……
Refund takes a month
My dad gave me money to order the fleece jacket i wanted, but when it came was too small the sizing is weird on it, so i returned it by evri with their label, week later heard nothing so contacted customer service on live chat to see where my refund is so i could re order in bigger size, but they are useless, all i got told was i got wait 10 days for them process my refund, so they take your money, but refund takes 10 days before they process it, then got wait 5-10 datys before refund lands in my account then when ive re ordered got wait another couple days for it be delivered so thats just under a month to get my refund absolutley ridiculous n ill never order online ever again the lady wouldnt even push through my return no help what so ever

Wool Blend Cable V-Neck Half Zip Jumper Really poor quality, worn twice and unacceptable ‘bobbling’ which makes it look real old and knackered. Bought my usual size but this comes up very small. Won’t be buying Superdry again. They didn’t want to know of my complaints. In future will stick to WeirdFish, Raging Bull etc…..far, far better quality
Frustrating situation.
Trying to contact this company about my order and it is impossible! The chat bot is absolutely rubbish and I can’t chat with an advisor and there is no telephone number. The telephone number that it shows does not exist. I have also noticed that the cost of their items has risen significantly.

I've ordered from Superdry many times and every time the delivery is late. Superdry clothing prices have risen substantially over recent years but their customers expectations fall very short of the mark.
I can order from Next and depending on how early I place the order, I can received items on the same day.
Most companies deliver on standard post within 3 days, not 4,5,6 or 7days, one of my Superdry orders took 9 days with no info or help from customer service which took hours to get through to. On one occasion I decided to pay extra for next day delivery, it came 3 days later. Unfortunately customer service is non existent and they won't refund you on the additional postage you paid for.
Its ridiculous in today's times that a company like this is so behind with their logistics and customer service. Maybe Julian Dunkerton should ask Jade Holland Cooper for some advice, she manages to get my wifes clothes to her in 3 days on standard delivery or next day if she pays a few £s extra. Don't get me wrong I have spent literally thousands and thousands on Superdry as I like the style, fit and the reasonable, Made in Japan and Made in India quality, so this 1 star review is purely for it's terrible customer service and it's incredibly slow delivery times. Come on Superdry, customers come first, it's not all about profit, the brand name should be one that can be trusted and respected by it's loyal customers.
I, like so many Superdry fans are starting to find brands that treat their customers with the repect they deserve for their loyalty to the badge.
Allow customers the right to call a human infact encourage and invite them to call with bad experiences so the company can take on board where they can improve and be a better company. Look at the 1.5 star trustpilot rating, surely this doesn't make Superdry proud?????
Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service. Prespective: Jacket not delivered by date mentioned in despatch email, as I had 1 day to spare before I needed it for the weekend I purchased another but lost the sale discount? Item still not delivered a week later! Customer services said they would refund but when I asked for a compensation for the lost discount, they said it was MY fault for buying another jacket from them and just cancelling the call without and discussion. Shocking way to deal with a long term customer!!!

ah SD gone are the days... you were top dog at one point and as you tried to alienate customers like me who have been with you from the start by removing jeans, boots and other cool stuff you used to do... how times have changed... I still have the vintage stuff and made better then too and boots, belts, shirts, jackets etc... it is so pleasing to see your brand become unpopular now that you've tried to reduce your stock holdings and almost where we of a generation are frowned at, at a ripe older age for even thinking about venturing into a store... replaced instead with the longing for the younger gen to purchase your stuff while the older loyals that spend the DOH are less favoured... anyhoo you lost my custom years ago due to poor service in store as well as aforementioned... keep removing your stock holding and minimise your customer base... that will all help tremendously in SD trying to succeed in what is now an incredibly difficult industry to profit from... hopefully you will lose out at some point and realise your customers were key and you should have maintained your position in your product offering and been more accepting of age. Oh and lastly the website... oh my my the website... atrocious... can't go backwards unless you want to see all the colours you've just looked at one by one and then it returns to main menu to start over, again and again. Plus the word search is shocking and never returns what you're looking for, having to instead scroll the menu options... and then... wait for it... the big one... THROWN out of webpage as too many users trying to access the same session... HELLO EARTH TO MARS AND BACK TO SD... WAKE UP... it's unheard of that a website can't cope with too many people in this era... bye bye birdie and I will be sitting there with glee when I see on news you're finally a gonner... will still wear your stuff but who knows items may ACTUALLY become VINTAGE and I can sell it all to make some money back on all the money I've given you over the years. Well done SD great strategies to get you down the plug hole... catch you laters... Really poor quality and over-priced
Really poor quality and over-priced. Purchased a £30 t-shirt and after 1 wear and wash, the neck label had pulled holes in the t-shirt. Tried to return to store but told to contact customer services on line, they then refused to do anything as I didn't have the receipt.
Just avoid.
Worst returns policy EVER
Bought a pair of shorts which were way too small or sized wrongly, it ended up costing me €12 to return them and a wait of 10 days for a refund! NEVER AGAIN WILL I USE SUPERDRY ES ONLINE

Disappointedwith the product-boght 2 pairs of slim fit womens jeans-even the smaller pair that I suspected would be too small,was oversized,so then I had to pay £2.95 to return.I did get the label,and the return was fairly quick,but I would have far preferred to like the product,and keep the jeans.I would not buy Superdry again as I don't trust the sizing,but that goes with many other brands too-its really unhelpful.

Advertised as FREE DELIVERY but when an item was returned, it was returned - Minus the delivery charge - even when it was brought back to store.
After the return, there was no email confirmation, no proof of return, staff didn’t look happy processing returns.

I, like one of the other reviewers, paid for a label to return a item and still have not received the label. I have doubts that I shall get it. The item was 2 sizes too big for a small. Rubbish material. Will never buy from SUPERDRY again and it’s about time they learnt their lesson from all the bad reviews they have had.

I have paid for a label to return the items they haven’t sent the label. Come on Superdry! This should be instant so that you can return on the same day for unsuitable items ordered at your local drop off point.
Apparently they have 72 hours to answer my email! I’m guessing I will have to drive to Milton Keynes to return these items and try and get my postage money refunded.
It is outdated and I will never purchase again from this company.
Please don’t order unless you are certain you want the item/s you have ordered.
Other companies have this sorted; unfortunately Superdry are not one of those companies.
Really poor customer service
Received some items from their online shop. One of the items still had a security tag in. So I contacted them online and my options were A) drive nearly an hour to my nearest store for them to take it out or B) send it by return free post and wait for a refund. I would then to reorder my item and hope that they take the tag out this time. So I don't have my item, I have the inconvenience of having to take it to a post office and I've got to wait for my refund which, judging by the other comments could be some time. No offer of comp or even a good will gesture. Really poor.
Hoodies poor quality
Had a brand new hoodie bought for me for Xmas. After 2 washes (as per manufacturer instructions) and wearing it off and on for 2 months, there's a hole developed in the back where they have stitched the label into the back of it and in the corner where the pocket is.
I have a super dry hoodie I bought over 15 years ago and it is better condition.
Quality has serious gone down hill and the price has sky rocketed.
