Great service and the stones were delivered on time

Mega outstanding quality stone. I keep coming back to this company as their products are great and at very competitive prices. When they say they will deliver, it is delivered by another great company who bring it to exactly where you ask them to put it. Great service and products all round. I would recommend the company because as I say they have great products at competitive prices.

Good product, great sales service and excellent delivery. Communication was excellent throughout.

This is the most shambolic company I have ever had the misfortune of using.i would never recommend using them. Their customer service is diabolical. I ordered chippings in Sept and have had bags delivered without any notice of delivery given, the wrong bags of chippings delivered and a bag half full. Do not use this company!

I ordered stone to be delivered, made an error on the delivery date requested which meant the goods were shipped to arrive on the 24th September, sent an email requesting the 22nd after the good's had shipped and was pleasantly surprised to be informed the date had been changed - Great service!

Very pleased with every aspect of my dealings online with Stone and Garden Ltd and would strongly recomend to anyone buy a sample first before ordering in bulk and wash your sample in clean water to see the final colour.Best wishes to all Mike H Rugby

I ordered two bulk bags of Scottish Pebbles 30-50mm. When they arrived a large proportion were 30-80mm or more. The excuse given was that if stones were on end when they passed the grader they could be any length.
I advised that 30-80mm was not what I ordered and asked for them to be taken back. I was told I would have to pay £120 for their return.
As they were of no use to me I had to pay this fee.
S and G would not take any responsibility and their so called customer services were quite happy to "blame" their grader for this problem.
There is no indication on their web site that there could be any discrepancy in the size.
So if you want to deal with this unreliable company please go ahead. Personally I would advise you to find an alternative supplier.

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY

Placed and an order on Thursday, estimated delivery date was Wednesday 25th August.
On 24th August I received an email & text confirming that my order would be delivered between 12:36 & 14:36, I thought oh great it coming a day early.. However I’m still waiting!

I called the company on the morning
Of the 25th to say I had an email to say my delivery was coming yesterday but it never arrived.. Victoria advises there was a mishap and it would be delivered today (25th) in the afternoon and I would receive another text with a delivery time slot, I waited and waited nothing came so just after 3pm I called and spoke to Kasey who confirmed she would contact the courier and call me back. 45 mins later she did and advised my delivery wasn’t coming today! Great another day I have wasted waiting for it. She advised they would deliver it tomorrow but could not guarantee this as there delivery
Dates are only eating. So I asked if I could cancel my Order and re order from a more reliable website and she confirmed that was no problem but she would need to charge me for the privilege!

I mean the audacity the order has not arrived with me why would I pay you a further charge to cancel an order that is still with you, this must be purely how they make the money by charging a significant cancellation fee for goods they fail to deliver.

Absolutely dreadful and pathetic experience. They don't deserve even ZERO stars. They don't have control of their transportation as they gave it to a 3rd party. The driver was very arrogant and his behaviour was not acceptable by any customer standards. He was so rude and left the 850kgs not even close to the curb and was obstructing the traffic the whole day though has an opportunity to leave near the curb side. I complained to their sales and customer service but no use. To teach them a lesson I asked to take back their order though they would deduct £50 in refunding by shipping back. I am not worried about the money being lost but it's awful service. The sales and customer service said they are investigating with their 3rd transport department but no response and they are least bothered to get back about the driver's rude behaviour. Beware of this company and suggest not to order. Worst experience.

What a great service!! Order and delivery within 3 days. Despite the earliest delivery being the following week I left a note in the order comments that delivery ASAP would be appreciated and it turned up 3 days early.

Brilliant value huge cobbles. Delivery friendly and on time. I think the problems people have on here are the delivery company as from my experience it seems to vary attitude of delivery drivers as I have had several tonnes of landscaping materials delivered from several different companies and never had failed or late delivery. But, i have had one moaning driver from one company saying he thought the bag was overloaded and he almost didn't deliver! But not my experience with this company.
My driver was lovely and even though delivery was on slight incline and road is wide enough but abit difficult to turn at bottom of cul de sac driver was fantastic.

I ordered a bulk bag of white spar, chose my delivery date + waited!!!
Called them in advance to make sure no issues!! On it's way I was told.
After dozens of phone calls + being told they would arrive next day + next day + next day I gave up!!
I was told depot issue + they had requested CCTV for delivery!!
I had lost the will to live + asked for a refund.
Telephone staff were very helpful + polite!!
I have no idea if it was the Company, the freight company or depot?
All I know is it was a nightmare from start to finish!!!

Ordered two bulk bags of blossom stones came on the day given them ordered another two and they came on the day too nice and easy no complaints at all and the stones look great just as advertised thank you if I ever need anymore will definitely order and recommend to anyone else

My order was delivered sooner than expected, and the gravel looked exactly like the one in the picture.
The driver was friendly and courteous.
Overall, a great service.

They do everything they should do - sell me the stone, send me a receipt via email and tell me how/when it's being delivered and if not by them, who by? They did exactly that. The price was excellent and the stone that turned up was exactly what I ordered and as pictured. To deliver something of that size to me at the other end of the country for less than a fiver is pretty good. I selected a date for delivery which was within 4 days of my order and it was bang on time. I got an email to confirm the order and that they would do all they could do put in a convenient spot - but could not promise that. Nothing could be clearer - it's on me to make sure they have somewhere easy to put it.

Many complaints on here relate to the delivery service which will vary by location hence the variety in experience. My delivery info was provided by a company called Palletways and provided a full tracking service, delivery time slot on the day etc. Excellent. The lorry belonged to a local haulier and the driver was local - definitely not from Doncaster. So the delivery is outsourced to local firms and some will be better than others. The driver was polite, friendly and asked me where I wanted it placed. But they do not have a crane to airlift it anywhere on your property - they are limited. So if you're going to order from here, be sensible and think where the driver (alone) can park a large lorry close by, bring down a tonne of weight off the back and drag a pallet to. They use an assisted pallet carrier which cannot navigate tight spaces and it needs to be a flat surface - i.e. a driveway or path, drop curbs will be fine. The website is very clear about delivery! But all of the above is dependent on the local haulier that delivers your item - and it's that company that should get your bad review if you got a bad service.

Very disappointed with the delivery, lorry driver would not drive round the back and place the stone where we wanted it, refused to pull over nearer the edge of the road so other vehicles could go pass and then just left the bags of stone on the side of the road didn’t even put them in the gateway. Driver also very unpleasant and surly. Will not be using this company again.

Having ordered some bark and topsoil elsewhere and experiencing nothing but disappointed I had very little expectation of my gravel delivery. I have to say I was so pleasantly surprised. The whole process was seamless, my order was processed in the timescale given and had a call from the delivery driver when he was on his way. Great value and great service. Have more to order so will definitely be using again.

I had some Stone delivered last Tuesday from this company and as the lorry tried to back into my drive he hit the shop and damaged the roof, facia, guttering.
The neighbour seen the driver so it and then drive of.
However they will not pay for the damage because i have no photo evidence. Shocking service as they have no control over the delivery service.

Excellent. Ordered easily with clear website and useful accurate calculator. Arrived 08:00 am the day I specified delivery 2 days later. Good customer services as well throughout. Would definitely use again.

Excellent choice of stones, cheaper than competitors and came within 3 days. Really happy with service start to finish.
