Lovely lodge in elevated and private position. Could do with all the decking to be replaced and painted. Settee needs replacing as very uncomfortable and ripped. Overall nice place, and clean inside.

Reason for booking was mainly hot tub
Reason for booking was mainly hot tub, the first night it went really cold really quick but due to colder weather you expect a decline in heat. We left it for the night to heat back up in the morning still not hot it wasn’t even slightly warm. We checked we had set it correctly then rang the numbers on welcome pack none worked we went to the on sight pub to look for reception and got advised no reception we managed to get a number for help of the booking agent we used. Finally got through to a maintenance man who advised us the lodge we was staying at was a known issue with the hot tub and been broke for months he was busy and would try to get out to us but all we could do was fill it up with hot water but the hot water did not get hot enough also the heating would then stop due to all use going to filling hot tub up and the jets and lights did not even work. It took me a while to get any contact information for customer service to advise them of the situation I also managed to find stay cation reviews to which 5 months ago was a review about our lodge 17 not having a working hot tub and got told to do the same as us absolutely would not recommend we got offered a 50.00 goodwill gesture but theys still no fix to the hot tub other cabins were working it is a lovely site we have stopped before but never again after the bad experience the cabins are now getting worn down which is expected but in need of maintenance things broke things worn tv would not work and no WiFi either which wasn’t really an issue for us but still all theses things advertised as a luxury cabin should be what is advertised.
The mini complex was lovely
The mini complex was lovely , the main large lodge was beautiful we thoroughly enjoyed our stay , the only thing I can pull them up on was it's a bit slippery on the decking on the small lodge near the hot tub , my son hurt his back when he slipped , he didn't fall but twisted his back trying not to fall when he slipped , and the light fittings in main lodge had dust webs on , and a drain smell in one of the smaller lodges , but I would stay again it didn't spoil our stay

This company is dodgy! Do not waste your money. You wont get what you paid for you'll be ignored and money stolen from you. The reps on fb are useless the staff on site are rude woodlakes in king Lynn is old dated and not safe

I give ZERO stars.
Very Dirty lodge, broken furniture, doors not staying shut or being able to lock for privacy, blinds broken to bits giving no privacy in bathroom, shower tray broken with a hole in it so unable to use, radiators not working so freezing in bathroom, hob ring plate had melted so badly that it was burning in parts and seeping gas out from the unlit parts so unable to use that, dishwasher faulty and didn't work, mattresses on all beds not fit for purpose and unable to sleep on them due to the springs poking through - told to report issues to the pub who said they couldn't help as its the Christmas period, gas safety certificate stuck to the boiler front dated 2023, hot tub un even with water covering LED panel so gone rusty and stopped lights working and intermittent bubbles, view from the hot tub was rubbish strewn all over the open fence from previous users. I could go on and on.
This was sold as a fully equipped, LUXURY lodge of which, it didn't even come close too.
This company has lodges at Dunsten Fen in Lincolnshire where at least 4 lodges all burnt down one after the other….. Liv retreats have not learnt from this devastation and continue to sell their lodges with gas safety issues such as the dangerous hobs.. utterly disgraceful.
The worst thing is that this awful company actually knew about all the issues i have raised because previous occupants had complained as well …. Months and months ago. This company chose to ignore those complaints and do absolutely nothing to ensure the comfort and safety of its customers…. Utter, utter disgrace.
How dare they take peoples hard earned money by promising luxury, fully equipped lodges and restful, relaxing breaks … but giving below standard, dirty, un working appliances, not fit for purpose lodges with a rubbish strewn view to top it all off.
I am now in the process of taking the matter to Trading Standards as this company is ripping people off and need stopping before more devastation is caused to innocent people.
PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - YOU ARE RISKING YOUR LIFE IF YOU DO.
Liv Retreats will of course reply to this review and state it as untrue. They will try to say its our own fault for staying the duration … we had no choice but to stay as had nowhere else to go to as a family of 7 which included 3 children.
The truth is in all the previous bad reviews you can read for yourself on Trust Pilot. Those who gave positive reviews were just simply lucky - i am warning future customers of the real issues because you will not get your money back. They may offer an insulting max refund of £100 as they did with me …. Utter disgrace.
I URGE EVERYONE WHO HAS LEFT NEGATIVE FEEDBACK TO CONTACT TRADING STANDARDS BECAUSE THIS COMPANY IS IN BREECH OF THE SUPPLY OF GOODS AND SERVICES ACT 1982 (UK).

Very poor maintenance.

Booked a 3 bed, could only use 2 bedrooms as the 3rd room had no bedding.
The pre sale communication was excellent. But post booking, no one has responded. It’s a shame, kings lynn retreat is fantastic.
This one, is a very poor reflection of liv retreats. And now. The post booking care is also extremely poor.
Lodge 45
The stars are purely for the representative who we booked through as she couldn't help enough and for that we are appreciative.
We arrived to a broken boiler no heating or hotwater. With 1 child 1 baby and an immune compromised adult. That was fixed and we started to unpack, settle in.
The main radiator in the room didn't work, the kitchen blind was greasy and broken kept falling down. Paid for a travel cot but it wasn't there had to ask for it. They brought that and a highchair didn't use either as they weren't in the best of conditions. Radiator and blind fixed. Fridge was full of ice had to get some of it out to be able to close the draw/door. Listing said smart TV, it was a basic freeview. Used the bath as the shower was full of cobwebs and dead flys. The water for the bath was luke warm. The lodge was cold even with the boiler repaired and an oil radiator in the bedroom.
I wouldn't use this company again as they clearly do not keep on top of cleanliness or maintenance.
Very basic cutlery and glasses just about managed. Decides to eat out at the local pubs which were beautiful indeed.

Stayed at no 39 Applegrove. Lovely lodge, spacious, very clean.. hot tub was also clean & hot.
Only reason didn’t score 5 stars was no wine glasses or frying pan & only 1/2 roll of loo paper left for a 3 night stay

Unsafe for children and a health hazard.
On-site the so called farm consisted of 2 animals and pool was disgusting and tiny.

Absolutely no empathy…
Booked with this company by mistake as the venue sounded similar to the one I actually wanted to book. Realised my mistake and emailed them literally straight away. I know everyone has terms and conditions, but would have been nice to have a bit of understanding in this situation. Needless to say they wouldn't refund my £50 deposit, so free money for them.
The Hideaway
The staff at The Hideaway were absolutely fantastic from the minute we arrived. They were very welcoming and felt like family and had a sense of "coming home". The only issue we had was that the hot tub didn't work as it should have, they did try to rectify it and fed water from the boiler into it but it still was only warm at best, and there was an air lock which Tommy did try to fix however the jets were more like soft streams, and only 3 worked to this efficiency the rest didnt work. This was a bit of a let down however the rest of the trip was fantastic, the cabins were well presented, clean and comfortable.
Freezer was broke
Freezer was broke , bathroom was mouldy , had 2 power cuts ,had to change our plans due to this , wasn’t enough bedding and the list goes on

Hi,
1. I didn’t get what I paid for.
2. I had to pay £30 for my pet which wasn’t mentioned anyone prior to booking nor in the fine print.
3. No chocolate's as per post.
4. The lack of cleanliness. Disgusting smell of urine from the bathroom. Completely ignored.
5. No towels over 24hrs. Completely ignored.
6. Hot tub not checked once when this should have been daily. Completely Ignored.
7. Blood stained bedding. Completely ignored.
8. Double duvets in king sized bedding.
9. Calls, emails and voicemails. Completely ignored.
10. Shower door was hanging off. My husband had to hook this back on.
When contacted woucher to address this emails were sent back and forth to the merchant who was basically completely rude, contradicted himself over and over and all have been dismissed.
Shocking!

Stayed in Lodge 19
Stayed in Lodge 19. Blinds broken, uncovered windows, dusty, cobwebs around the windows, greasy oven and trays, dangerously slippy decking, my son fell over and hurt his ankle with shoes on, hosepipe left next to entrance almost blocking the entrance and a fowl smell, seemed to be coming from the sofa which in itself was disgusting, lots of holes and stains!!

The lodge was lovely, and clean, and the hot tub amazing and also clean, staff friendly, beautiful location, thankyou :)
However it was a bit of a building site around the lodge we were in, no blind at the bedroom window, and mattress so lumpy with springs digging in we had to use all the quilts to make it just barely comfortable, which I feel really bad about as was more washing for you, sorry

Weekend break.
Went down for a weekend break with partner and after one night the hot tub turn colour and give of a smell. Due to no onsite maintenance we could not use the hot tub on night number 2, they did say use another hot tub but we could not due to having a baby with us. Site is lovely it just needs onsite maintenance 24 hours.

Booked 2 lodges one was the Lakeside Secret Retreat, very spacious, so we could all spend time together, eating and playing games etc., definitely returning.

We never went because after reading the reviews and having three medically vulnerable people in our party we thought it safer not to go. We left messages with the company prior to the arrival date for some guarantees but they never got back to us so we decided not to go.
