Bought a costume for our two year-old…
Bought a costume for our two year-old daughter we took it out to pack the next day to check it out to make sure it would fit her and noticed the Minnie mouse costume. Bottom of the dress was falling apart somehow it got a stain on it not sure if we did it or if it came like that, but tried to bring it back to exchange it for one that wasn’t defective. They refused to take it back and exchange it. I’ve spent so much money at this store in the past and because of their horrible customer service and return policy, I will never spend another dime there again. This was at the store in Houma Louisiana. I unsubscribe from their email and don’t want anything to do with the store again.

I have loved spirit year after year for…
I have loved spirit year after year for most of my life, and have always looked forward to thier stores opening for the new scary items that they used to bring because they make shipping such a hassle to me in Canada to order off of thier website. Id buy more things if it didnt cost $250 for shipping to me when Amazon can ship similar items to me from the States for $13. It just makes me not order anything. 2 or 3 years ago they had the winged gargoyals in store here in Canada in thier display and wanted to buy but I tried to buy some and they never had ANY for sale. It was only what was on the display for display purposes which bummed me out. They do have them on thier website and actually 50% off right now but is ONLINE ONLY and as decribed costs hundreds of dollars on top of the item for shipping. Why can Spirit not actually just team up with Amazon which has a superior international shipping network compared to Spirit and ship thier items through them instead? I gave 1 star because of the frustration with thier shipping hassels and also I have been very disappointed going forward year after year for the last 5 years or so since they changed and stopped carrying actually good scary prop items in thier store. I miss what Spirit used to be.... It doesn't seem to have much "Spirit" of the season at all anymore, is very souless now with a bunch of not very good licensed crap. Also I want Trick R Treat Sams chocolate bar with the razor blade in it that they keep on the website if you search for that, but never have any stock of, why not have stock of that at least and send it to the stand up stores so I wouldnt have to pay $100 shipping for a $10 item?? Its a very saleable item, I dont understand. How unfortunate.

I went to spirit on release to get and animatronic and they told me to come back on Wednesday and when we came back they said oh you should’ve put your name on the list like what list are you talking about we asked them about it and they said they didn’t have a list

Horrible experience i took a day off because they advertise Freddy Fazbear for sale and its just a big scam to get people to go to the store my kids where excited I took the day off and waited till they opened because it said first come first serve to only be told that none of the stores will have them for sale the only thing they are getting is the display this is outright the worst False advertisement I have ever experienced

Horrible. Only have 1 phone number for all of their stores so they can't even answer your questions and act like your bothering them. If a business is going to do limited stock, anticipated drops for halloween, their own call team should be able to answer questions about it. Even the website gave very little info as to which stores will be open or when they do open. Very disappointing and I hope to see other businesses take their idea and do it correctly. Sad I was trying to give Spirit Halloween $500+ and they act bothered by it while not being prepared.

Don’t order online
Don’t order online. I ordered me a Sam sitting doll and a crescent moon and they made a shipping label but never shipped. After a long wait I contacted their customer service and they reshipped and yet again a preshipment label but they still didn’t send it. Now customer service supposedly contacted the warehouse to ask them if they know what’s going on with my order. So here I sit because they supposedly are going to reach out when they hear something but told me to reach out if I don’t see movement by the 22nd. I would understand all this hassle in October but it’s July. This is ridiculous and frustrating. By the way it’s the 21st and tracking still shows just a label made. So tomorrow I’ll definitely will be asking for a refund. They should go above and beyond to help out their customers but they haven’t with me. I hope others have better luck than I have.

This is a scam
I went to this store , couldn't try the outfit so went home and try it, it was extremely large so went back to the store 20 minutes after to exchange for a smaller size ! Pachage was new , unworn in its bag and this crooks say no they cant!! This is ridiculous!! I hope they go out of business soon for scamming people like that !!!

I ordered a Halloween costume for my…First and Last Time Ordering from Spirit Halloween
I ordered a Halloween costume for my son, and the entire experience has been nothing but frustrating. The package was already delivered late, and when I checked the tracking, it showed it was delivered to the wrong address. I contacted Spirit Halloween, and they told me I had to wait three days to see if it turned up. It never did.
They eventually offered a refund, but 3 weeks later, I only received eight dollars, which customer service claimed was just the shipping cost. They told me the rest of the refund would be processed later. It is now December, and I still have not received the remaining refund. Every time I reach out, no one is willing to help or take responsibility.
This was my first time ordering from Spirit Halloween, and it will absolutely be my last. It would be easier and more honest for them to simply say they cannot refund the order and advise customers to file a claim with the shipping carrier. Instead, they drag things out and leave customers with no resolution.
Extremely disappointed and will never shop here again.

Be very careful when buying from the Spirit Halloween in Seekonk, MA. Just two days after my purchase, they refused to let me exchange a costume for the correct size. This isn't about a late return, but a simple, logical exchange for the same item. The policy is customer-hostile and has guaranteed they lost a customer. I'll be going elsewhere from now on.

We bought a costume online and it was too small. Spent $18 shipping it back only to two weeks later have to message asking about the return. After multiple emails back and forth they refund the tax portion and say the rest will take 21 business days... so it takes them 6 weeks to return my money... that is if I ever actually see it. What a rip off.

Worst Store Ever
If I had the opportunity to give 0 stars, that would be my choice. $65 for a crumby wind breaker and beat up hat? The price tag was so hidden that I didn’t even realize there was one. I tried to return it and make a DIY costume, but they said you can only exchange it for something with equal or lower value items. The robbery price of the costume wasn’t even the worst part about the experience. Once I came back to try and return, I was swarmed with employees telling me every little detail about how it’s my fault that I didn’t read the microscopic price tag or find the perfect costume at this lame store. 2 hours of my life I am never getting back!!

Garbage quality costumes—scam
Garbage quality costumes, fit terribly if you are a normal sized person. No refunds or size exchanges. Spend $60 on a costume you can only hope fits. SOL if it doesn’t. A glorified garbage pale. 0 stars.

Great staff, policies make sense for end of returns because if they let returns and exchanges happen after the 17th, everyone would return after the big party weekends. I suggest shopping earlier for those complaining. They have full refunds from August til almost end of October!

Paid extra for Guaranteed delivery before halloween now is delayed until halloween night after 8 pm so after trick.or. treat is over ....I spent over 100 dollars here and now my kids have NO costumes and of course you can't get a hold of customer service watching tracking it sat in label.created mode for more than a day !?!?! I feel.like.this was purposeful will NEVER shop.here again absolutely ridiculous!!!!!!!!

Horrible company to deal with…
I placed an order on October 17th and paid an extra $14.95 to have it delivered on Oct 24th because my daughter had a party on the 25th. As I was checking everyday for 9 days , the package did not move and stayed at the warehouse for 10 days. It was very hard to get through customer service. Finally it arrived on the 28th, called to start a return. THEY DON’T EMAIL A RETURN LABEL YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR IT!!! $21!!! Unbelievable, never seen that…. It was the 1st time I’ve ordered from them and it is the last time. Horrible company to deal with.

I went to Spirit for the first time…
I went to Spirit for the first time today, (10/29/2025) and my wife and I bought costumes for Halloween. The store was crowded and only had 1 dressing room with 8 people in line, so I bought an extra large which is what I wear according to their chart. When I got home and tried it on, it more like a 4x. Now they tell me all sales are final. They didn't mention that when they were taking my money. If you need a costume order it on Amazon of somewhere with a decent return policy.
