Taken delivery of sofas today and as others have stated a little apprehensive about such a large purchase online

I was reluctant to order without seeing first but this is the nicest sofa Iv ever purchased. The leather is such good quality and it’s well made. Delivery men really good too. Definitely recommend

We took a long time to decide about our purchase and Abbey was very helpful - sending us measurements, advising about colours and grades of leather etc. Eventually, when we did decide exactly what we wanted ordering was really straightforward. Abbey phoned to advise us when the sofas had arrived in the warehouse and we were required to pay the remainder. The sofas arrived with us sooner than originally expected and the courier service was excellent. The furniture was assembled and all packaging taken away very quickly. And both sofas look great and are just right.

We ordered our sofa on-line without going to the showroom, never ordered such a large expensive item like this before on line. We were very apprehensive about it but we did it. We are extremely pleased with our sofa, color match was excellent, leather is soft and lovely. Excellent service from Abbey Liddle, sofa took longer than anticipated due to Covid, all in all very happy.

We were nervous ordering new sofas “on line” during the lockdown but we certainly weren’t disappointed. We were kept fully informed throughout the build by Abbey and accurate information given regarding delivery dates. We are delighted with the quality of the sofas on eventual arrival and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Sofaitalia.

The sofa I bought was damaged on receipt. I have tried to exercise my legal right to reject under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. They have point blank refused citing the erroneous grounds that the sofa is ‘bespoke’. It is a ‘made to order’ where I chose between three colours on offer so cannot be said to be bespoke in any way. I have even provided them with the relevant government guidance re this.
They quote the Distance Selling Regulations on their website which are out of date, having been replaced in 2014 by the Consumer Contracts Regulations which actually give more protection to anyone who buys unseen at a distance. In any case, the Consumer Rights Act should come into force because the goods are damaged.
I sought legal advice on this matter and they are definitely breaking the law
Since trying to exercise my legal rights there has been total non communication from them. Whether this is due to ignorance or a wilful attempt to circumvent my statutory rights I do not know.
They had insisted that I have no right to reject and this is plain wrong under the law No company should be allowed to flout the law. If this is due to lack of knowledge, it is high time they updated this. Next stop Trading Standards. Ignorance of the law is no excuse.

Further to my original review. I have refused to have a technician as it is my right to reject and receive a full refund under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. I am under no obligation to accept a repair and have decided not to do so. I do not want a repaired sofa. The continued attempts by Sofaitalia to restrict my statutory rights beggars belief. They are completely unwilling to accept their responsibilities under the law. Clearly they have broken Consumer Law by continuing to attempt to restrict my legal rights.

I cannot be any plainer. I have never encountered such intransigence. I have reported them to Trading Standards and intend to proceed as far as the law allows to receive my legal remedy.

I would be interested to see how Sofaitalia can explain to the trustpilot community now how they are not breaching the law.

I would like to thank this company for delivering exactly what they advertised on their website .we live in Kent and when we looked on the Internet for leather settees this company came up but was in Durham we weren't sure about ordering our 3 leather settees from them. We whent ahead after speaking to this company and being reassured what is on their website is exactly what we are getting and receiving a sample of the leather. We were notified when they were made and arrived in the UK. We arranged the delivery date and time. The delivery company took great care bringing the 3 settees into our house and after taking all the packing of we got our first look at our settees. We are so pleased with the quality and workmanship and could not have been happier thank you sofaitalia and we would recommend this company. Just to add we whent to a major company and ordered 3 settees after viewing them in store. When they were delivered and unpacked within one day we contacted the the company and after being examined by them had all returned to them and received a full refund. So don't be put off ordering from a company on the Internet .

My sofa package is outstanding I love it! The workmanship is superior to anything I've ever seen, and I have been searching for a new sofa for a long time, and honestly went on reviewing the usual high street sites. No comparison to Sofsitalia s quality, service. The delivery was a worry being white leather items but needn't worry it was well wrapped layers and layers of protection. The guys unwrapped and situated my beautiful furniture. I am thrilled
