We purchased a sofa and two chairs from Sofaitalia, from a picture and a leather sample. We were so fed up with being told by the usual furniture stores that delivery would be in excess of 24 weeks then further delays.

We were apprehensive with our actions, Sofaitalia did their best to reassure us that the items were in stock ready for delivery, with the option of a fourteen day return policy.

The quality of the furniture is beyond our expectation, so pleased, The leather is beautiful, the furniture is a little on the firm side but softens on usage. So pleased that we found this company. Would certainly use again.

Well done Sofaitalia

I haven’t got my sofa yet despite paying for it back in January. It was meant to be delivered over a week ago and after travelling long distance to the holiday home it was meant for, staying overnight and waiting in three hours it never arrived. Nobody phoned me to say there’s been a picking error. I had to spoil a family’s plans for an Easter break because there was no seating and despite telling both the courier and sofaitalia about the problem they keep sending me requests for a trust pilot review. So here’s my review. Sort out your communication. And I’ll never buy from you again or recommend you to my friends.

Love our new sofas. At first they seemed a bit firm but av now settled in lovely. Thankyou for your service. Would definitely recommend.

Buying expensive furniture online is stressful enough without the added issues experienced from this company
Had a leather sofa delivered by this company and the colour bore NO resemblance at all to the advertised item
Initially the company agreed but 24 hours later withdrew claiming correct product had been delivered
Sadly product had no label , code , description etc to prove who was correct
After numerous e mails instigated by myself I have been refunded - lesson learnt
Now I will go to a showroom a see what I’m buying
I have photo comparisons to show I was right but no acceptance of fault - BE CAREFUL
Following the companies response I would close the issue by just reiterating the point I was trying to make
PRODUCTS ARE NOT LABELLED WHICH IF SO WOULD ENSURE NO CONFRONTATIONS

Great product at a reasonable price. A little reluctant initially to buy on line but glad we did. Delivery was quick and hassle free

Delighted with the 2 sofas, very well made
Lovely soft leather, keep updating on delivery
Only down fall was having to remove all the heavy packaging and turn the heavy sofas over very difficult for two OAP

So far so good. Item still packaged as I’m moving. But I have to say what a great service, paperwork all as expected, sofa arrived within the 7/10 days promised on the website . Would definitely recommend.
Sofa currently is fully packaged and protected from its trip from Italy.

Placed my order on dec and had my sofa delivered on march with was earlier (happy days)the delivery was faultless and the delivery men were very helpful as the sofa had to be brought in through my living room window witch was no problem to them 👍🏻My sofa is beautiful and as stated pure white real leather 🥰so comfortable and looks amazing defiantly first class serves from start to finish thank you so much for all you’re help with my order

Just before Xmas I bought a three seater sofa. I was very pleased with it, the quality of the finish the leather used, and the comfort. I decided to buy the matching chair. It is likewise absolutely brilliant. Its a lovely colour, the leather is really decent quality, the design and the comfort are great. I am very happy and think that it is great value for money .

I am very happy with the speed you procest my order and the 2men who delivered my sofas where very good .

Sadly our experience has been anything other than stressful and problematic.

Our £5,000 sofas arrived in November 2021. On delivery we noticed that they were badly damaged and immediately notified Sofa Italia.
In accordance with consumer legislation we are entitled to a repair, replacement or refund.

We opted for replacement and notified Sofaitalia.

Sadly they have declined to offer us replacements, even though this is contrary to consumer legislation.
Thankfully we purchased using interest free credit. The finance company have been very supportive by confirming that we were entitled to a refund or replacement. They have paused our repayments whilst they try to sort this mess out. They’ve written to Sofa Italia to remind them of their obligations under the law, but we still await a resolution.

As Sofa Italia have denied us our basic rights under the law we are now pursuing them for a refund rather than a replacement as their willingness to sort out problems is sadly lacking.

Seems very strange that Sofa Italia choose to ignore consumer law and treat their customers so badly.

The whole experience has been a living nightmare, one which I wouldn’t want to repeat.

I will update this review to say how Sofa Italia resolve this matter.

Following your reply, I’m mindful that the Consumer Rights Act 2015 requires you (the retailer) to publish clear terms and conditions on their website so that consumers can read them BEFORE purchasing.

Irrespective of what your terms and conditions state about refunds and exchanges, this does not take away from my basic rights under the law, which entitles me to a full refund even if the item is bespoke as it is faulty and I reported the damage on delivery.

Update 25th January
Received an email from SofaItalia to say that they are now prepared to offer us a replacement sofa, however we have two damaged sofas and one damaged foot stool.

The sad and sorry saga drags on (and on)

Update 14 April
Having reluctantly agreed to replace our damaged sofas, SofaItalia have tried on two occasions to have our review removed, claiming that they had no record of our order.
Thankfully we were able to provide proof of order we are now classed as a Verified Purchase.
Rather than trying to get negative reviews removed it would be better for all concerned if SofaItalia improved their customer service.

Sofa's as good as we expected. service first class would recommend. Not cheap but great quality.

Just want to say how helpful and friendly Abbey is. She is an absolute asset to the company. Haven’t received the sofas yet but will put another review on once they arrive.

Before ordering, Abbey was very polite and helpful. She sent me all the samples I asked for helping me to make the right choice. She was always at the other end of the phone to answer any queries. I am always very weary about ordering on the Internet, especially when I'm spending thousands of pounds, but having read all the reviews from customers who have bought from SofaItalia, this made me feel very reassured. The 3 piece, 2 piece, single chair and footstall all arrived 3 weeks earlier. They were extremely well wrapped and protected and there was no damage at all. They were delivered on time and with care. I would highly recommend SofaItalia and would like to say thank you for a trully professional service and high quality product.

We have had a 3 seater and 4 seater leather sofa from Sofa Italia for 16 years!! It STILL looks as good, if not better than when we first bought them from SCS. We have dogs and 3 teens and they still look fantastic! An absolutely first class purchase, in wear, comfort, style and design. We are looking to change now, only for a change! And we we WILL buy from them again, as a crazy busy family have testified, we cannot buy better. Thank you to those who made such unbeatable sofas ❤️
