Arrived on time. Friendly engineer and efficient service. Covered shoes to protect the carpet. Excellent.

Smith and byford carried out a full gas safety check at my flat. They did a very effective and helpful service. They arrived on time and worked quickly and left the kitchen area clean where they had worked. They noticed that the smoke alarm and thermostat were not working and replaced the same without extra charges which was great.
They had worked on the boiler over a year ago and they fixed a problem that another firm had overlooked with the installation.
I appreciate their clear friendly help with these issues.

It was just a gas safety check but engineer was on time,very polite, worked efficiently and listened to the questions I asked. Recommend Smith and Byford. Only complaint is they are difficult to get hold of. My phone won't let me go to their portal as it says it unsafe. 😒

Excellent service. I had no hot water and they came very quickly. The gentleman worked quickly and efficiently and told me he will come back to put a new piece on the radiator. I've always been happy with the jobs they do, no complaint at all.

Absolutely disgusting day seven with no water and no hot water apparently knocked five times yet no one heard unhelpful on the phone awful customer service avoid this company

The man that did the work was very good he show us who he was did what he had to and and also look at my boiler and sorted out a lose nut he did a great job and put my mind at rest thanku

It was the extractor fan in the kitchen , it’s working ok now , engineer came and fixed it ! Very quickly ..it’s only they could not specify accurate time to attend .

I had excellent service with the operative that came to my property yesterday. He was very kind and pleasant and polite.over and done with in less than 10 minutes.

Had a gas safety check & I must say the young gentleman Isac that came was extremely good polite & I would highly recommend Smith and byford they are an excellent company

The company is full of liars that prey on disabled customers and only do the job properly if they're being supervised by the local authority. They repeatedly make claims that they attempted to complete an appointment without actually turning up until I got a video doorbell installed. Every visit they leave something damaged behind and they claim I haven't communicated with them so I've taken to recording every contact I have with them as evidence of when I have communicated with them. I'd understand if I was a paying customer, but if I was a paying customer I surely would not be using them. If I hadn't been made redundant I would be pleading with my local authority to use the previous gas and boiler servicing company who fully understood and accommodated my needs instead of traumatising me so severely that every contact with them puts me on the verge of having a panic attack (and actually has on two occasions). Do NOT recommend them for anything and will be actively encouraging other residents to tank their ratings online now because how this company is rated above 3 stars absolute boggles my mind.
