Wasn’t the boring course that courses usually are.
The instructors had a laugh and a joke, told stories, if they see someone struggling, they didn’t pull them to the side on their own, they got the group to run through it again and made the day more enjoyable.

My colleague and I attended the First Aid Refresher course, tutored by Oliver Siviter.

This experience was great! He asked thought provoking questions, answered any queries with honesty and made everybody involved feel welcome. He has definitely revitalised my self confidence in administering first aid, should the need arise.

This is an amazing opportunity to learn and develop potentially life saving skills and I would recommend this course to anybody.

I've done many a 1st aid course over the last 30 + years, sometimes they are much of the same and in honesty can get quite boring at times due to the repetitive nature but must say I quite enjoy my recent one at chesterfield run by a Sarah shepherd.....found her very personable and she explained things in a different type of way that hit the nail right on the head.....St johns courses are always to the point to be fair and have always considered them very good but I think Sarah gets the award for being the best trainer ive come across.....5 stars

I thoroughly enjoyed this two-day Mental Health First Aid course. The content was well structured, delivered at a good pace, and provided an excellent balance between refreshing existing knowledge and introducing new insights and practical skills.

The breakout sessions were particularly valuable, allowing participants to apply the learning in a supportive and interactive environment. Ross was an engaging, personable, and knowledgeable facilitator who encouraged discussion and made the course enjoyable throughout.

Overall, it was a highly worthwhile experience, and I would recommend it to anyone looking to improve their understanding of mental health and how to support others effectively.

Dom and Richard were great trainers on 28th September. Dom had so many cool abbreviations/slogans for learning it made the whole day enjoyable.
Thank you both and see you in around 3 years time. :)

Its a great opportunity and learn to much from training in a freindly environment.This Training helps me in my workplace and i have such a great experience with it.

Absolutely found the course benefitting in all aspects of first aid and walked away with loads of knowledge thanks to the trainer Mrs S.Wilkins that made the course interesting and enjoyable.

Darren was great at putting everything across with a great knowledge and humour at the right time.
One negative is that the carpet tiles are not the best for kneeling on and in my opinion mats of some sort would be better on the knees

The first aid course was great Dec and Charlotte fantastic for me who struggles to learn when talked at but they made it fun see you in 3 years

Really good fire marshal training. Colin was a great instructor and delivered the course at a pace that suited the group, while keeping all of the content relevant and easy to understand.

There was plenty of opportunity for group discussion and questions, which made the session engaging and practical rather than just listening to someone talk at you.

I came away from the training feeling confident and well prepared to undertake my duties as a fire marshal. Would definitely recommend.
