Very happy with my Simplyhealth…
Very happy with my Simplyhealth subscription! They are super-simple to use and cover most of the things you need to keep you healthy and on the go! Claims are quick and easy through the app. If you have any issues, the chat function is simple to use, and being put through to a member of staff (in my case Ross) was quick and easy and very helpful!

This is not insurance and the "plan" has perverse incentives
I have been paying a dentist via one of these plans for a few years. I went to another dentis for a comparison quote on needing an implant. Turns out there were a lot of issues that had not been dealt with under my plan.
On looking into it, Simply Health's response is that its nothing to do with them and these plans are just a way of spreading cost.
The dentist estimates a cost and then Simply Health collect that via direct debit. No insurance involved (according to Simply Health).
The problem with that system is that there is an incentive for the dentist not to treat you. Every filling they do reduces the profit thry make on you, as they get paid the same regardless.
Turns out then this is a terrible way to covwr dental care costs as there is a peverse incentive against necessary treatment. Avoid unless you want you to spend time in endless circular complaints or negligence claims. Oh well!

I'm sorry to hear of your unhappiness, however, I think you may have left a review on the wrong company's platform.
Here at Simplyhealth all customers choose their own dentist and practice, they pay for the treatment or service received at each appointment then send us a detailed receipt. We in turn, re-imburse the customer directly. We do not cover customers who pay premiums for a dental practice plan such as Denplan.

Excellent customer service advisor
I had been trying to make a claim and sent through the receipts on the app by pictures. The first ones were rejected due to the poor quality of the pictures. I requested another receipt from my opticians and sent that through instead, again it was rejected as the camera picture quality wasn't readable. I made a call to simply health and spoke to Lyndsay Poole who was really lovely to speak to. She explained the issue and asked me for the information over the phone so she could get my claim made straight away. How refreshing to speak to a customer service advisor who not only listens but arranges a payment straight away. Thank you Lyndsay for being a breath of fresh air and so helpful. You made my Friday. Top service.

What has gone wrong at Simply Health
Having been a customer of Simply Health for over 20 years I would have liked to have given the company 5 stars, however recently they have had a new system and since then I have had the most frustrating experience. They didn’t take the direct debit due to an error their side, chased me as though it was my fault, apologised reinstated the DD and then promptly cancelled my policy with no explanation and now I am in the middle of the painstaking process of trying to sort this out for the second time in less than a month! Awful experience and completely dissatisfied with customer service! Stressful and frustrating

I used to believe in this company whole…
I used to believe in this company whole heartedly but they have penny pinched their way into losing our custom! We decided to take our reading glasses prescription to a cheaper online site as money was tight and this company refused to pay a paltry £4.50 claim- well done, thats just lost you £415 a year! Way to run a business!!
Ive already had your 'final response' in the matter and been told not yo contact you anymore! So no point me sending the proof to you again. Just happy to be leaving you. I have sent the complaint to the ombudsman instead to review- sad your company cannot sort yourselves

Ross helped me out quickly and efficiently with my claim. I had a hospitalisation claim approved at the incorrect amount which I was confused about. I went onto their chat to see why this was the case and see if I was missing anything. It seemed as though the claim was misread and he sorted it immediately! Very happy, thank you!

We are members, Myself and my husband though his work place at Asda.
I have just been in a customer service chat with Dot. Very knowledgeable,kind and sorted my quirery straight away.
We have only used. Optical. Dentist. Podiatry and hospital admissions but so far these have been very good. Prompt payment and good customer service.
I would recommend simply health especially this day and age when people are on a tight budget. Not expensive to use, taken straight from your salary so it's not missed on a monthly direct debit. 5 starts given.
