Failed this time but saved by a Knight
Normally I have no problems at all with simplyhealth...but this last claim kept getting pushed aside and not addressed. I've had to resort to private treatment as without it I could loose my sight. It has completely wiped out my savings. So anything I can get back is v v important. Its stressful as I am a pensioner on a limited income. Today my Knight in shining armour was Sam Edmunds and he took it on himself to sort the claim. He on his own deserves 5 stars. The others who passed this aside not so much.

Simply health I find is an excellent company to join.
The treatment I receive for eyes, feet, teeth, is paid by direct debit which almost covers for these treatments. I feel safe knowing Simply health is there for me.

This is the only company that has always paid out my claims straightaway, no complicated process, no endless producing supporting paperwork and then waiting weeks for payment.
This insurance is one of the best I ever had. I wish they could all be like that.

Login issues resolved quickly
I was having login issues but Katie on the chat service was able to sort this for me and update all documents so I was able to log in sucessfully.
She also helped with another question I asked about hospital says. She knew her stuff and was very good.

Simply useless..
Simply useless... My registration cannot be completed due to incorrect details. I contacted simplyhealth and after a long time on hold I got through to a miserable advisor who said "my registration is incomplete"... I know that hence my phone call. But they couldn't do anything about it. So I filled out a website request which claims a 48hr response, 4 days later I got a reply to say that simplyhealth had an incorrect date of birth, this has been amended and should work... great... so I log in and still get the same error. An absolute waste of time just to claim back for an eye test.

I’ve been paying into this for a long while now and I’m going to cancel as what you get back now is a percentage of what you get charged as for example I just had dental work which cost £1800 and I’m getting back £110 bearing in mind I’m paying £29 a month

Poor service from Simply Health
Why do simply health only email me when they are due to pay out (in other words all receipts etc are filled in correctly) but do not email me when things have been incorrectly filled in, by accident.
It is left to me to investigate the matter online, with which I am not very clever.

Thank you for your review and I'm sorry to hear you find our service poor.
A large majority of claims are processed automatically and using the details the customer has entered. Therefore, regrettably we wouldn't know if the data has been entered incorrectly.
Some claims are still manually processed and the receipt and form are both checked to ensure they match. If they need correcting then this is actioned.
You are given the chance to check your information is correct before pressing the submit button so it might be worth just doing this.

The chat box bears no resemblance to the subject matter you want to access

I can confirm Simplyhealth's website is independent and therefore has no adverts included in any way so I am unsure why you would be seeing adverts. At your earliest convenience, please email us some screenshots of our website which shows the adverts so we can investigate further. the email address is customererelations@simplyhealth.co.uk and please include your name, date of birth and home post code.
Both our live chat and telephone lines are initially operated by a digital assist and as they can answer many queries in the first instance.
The live chat feature has subject boxes for you to choose from and at the end of the list, you are asked if your query was resolved and are given the option to be transferred to an agent. Our telephone lines also give you the option to be transferred if you need to be.
