B and Q website said 7-9 days delivery,ordered mid July, nearly September now and still not received,was told it 4 weeks delivery after they got my money (not 7-9 days) then lorry broke down, always say they will ring me back but never have once,lost a days wage waiting in for it as I'm self employed,no contact whatsoever to tell me lorry broke down,now having to pay for self storage as old shed got taken down day before it was meant to come, have given them one more week to deliver it then I will cancel,pease please please do not buy from these people, absolutely awful and cowboys(they will probably add some comment on here but please ignore it, absolutely awful

We completely understand your frustration, particularly after being given an expected delivery timeframe, taking time away from work to wait for the delivery, and then being left without the communication and updates you were expecting.
We’re especially sorry that you were not contacted when the delivery vehicle experienced a breakdown and that you then had to contact us yourself for an update. We fully appreciate how frustrating this must have been, particularly as you had already made arrangements around the expected delivery and had taken down your existing shed.
While an unexpected vehicle breakdown is unfortunately outside of our control, we absolutely acknowledge that the lack of communication following this was not acceptable. We should have kept you informed, and we sincerely apologise that we failed to do so.
We’re also very sorry for the additional inconvenience and costs you have experienced as a result of the delay, including having to arrange alternative storage. We appreciate that this has caused significant disruption and understand why you feel so disappointed.
We are continuing to work with our delivery team to get your order delivered as soon as possible. However, if you no longer wish to proceed with your order due to the delays you have experienced, please let us know and we can arrange for the order to be cancelled for you.
Once again, we sincerely apologise for the frustration, inconvenience and lack of communication you have experienced. We appreciate your patience and are sorry that we have not provided the level of service you expected.
We ordered a 12x8 with windows
We ordered a 12x8 with windows. They delivered a 12x8 with no windows so had to wait a until the week after for them to swap the 2 panels over. There were 5 bits of the shed that were so warped and bowed the couldn't be used so I asked them to exchange them also and they said they would come with the panels. They did not arrive as promised with the panels so they posted them so they came 3 days later.
Also the exchange date was arranged for a Tuesday and they turned up on the monay the day before and didn't even knock the door but they did swap the panels over. When the fascia replacements arrived there was no door stop. So I gave up and brought my own . Very stressful experience!

We can see that the outstanding parts were then sent to you separately via DHL, but we appreciate that this did not make up for the inconvenience and additional time involved. We’re also sorry to hear that you felt you had to purchase your own door stop.

We’re sorry to hear that you’re disappointed with the delivery timeframe for your summer house.
We understand that an October delivery may not be suitable, particularly when you were expecting delivery sooner. As the item is made to order, delivery dates are dependent on our production lead times, and unfortunately, at the time of your enquiry, the earliest date we could offer was 5th October.
We appreciate that this wasn’t the timeframe you were expecting and apologise for the inconvenience caused. As advised in our correspondence, if the revised delivery date is no longer suitable, your retailer can assist you with cancelling the order.

The quality of my 10x7 summer house is terrible,wood warped,wood split through, holes/knots going to outside in wood when put together because of warping wouldn't stay close together gona be gaping gaps its terrible not happy at all would not recommend 😞 yes I was offered replacement parts which is no good once my summer house is all up and painted if good quality wood was used im sure I would not have had this problem at all ,I advise others to look into a company which uses good wood for these buildings so you dont have any problems

Failed delivery and no help
I had been expecting the dog kennel for weeks and got a phone call on the morning of delivery to say it had been broken in transit in the warehouse and I would have to wait another 3-4 weeks for it to be remade. I am afraid I have got a bit too cynical with businesses operating online or through third parties - I wonder if they were actually running behind schedule. The fact that I was offered no compensation and no help with getting my c £700 back suggests this is not the first time...but who knows. I asked for a Manager to ring me back but of course I heard nothing.

This company was supposed to deliver my summer house on 19/08/26, they did not inform me that this would not be happening and also when I called they were very unhelpful and said the earliest they can deliver would be 17/09/26 whilst I understand companies can have production issues my biggest complaint is that I was not informed even though they had my contact details, and yet they are still advertising that they can deliver by 06/09/26 for other products this is obviously misleading information for any trying to get an acceptable delivery

I just wanted to personally apologise for the experience you had with your delivery and for the way we handled your complaint afterwards.
I am genuinely sorry that the playhouse was left at the side of your property without anyone speaking to you, leaving you to move it yourself in heavy rain. I completely understand why this was so upsetting, particularly given the circumstances you explained to us.
Our deliveries are kerbside and made by one driver, so the driver has discretion to decide where the building can be safely and reasonably left. This is why we cannot guarantee delivery to a specific location, such as a rear garden.
While we cannot agree that the driver acted out of laziness, I do accept that our previous replies focused too much on defending the delivery rather than recognising how difficult the situation was for you.
I am very sorry for that. Your feedback has been taken seriously and will be shared with the relevant team.
I was really disappointed with the quality
I was really disappointed with the quality of the timber. Following the instructions precisely, the gaps were too wide to use the filler and there were several holes in the planks. When the arbour was completed it was really unstable and swayed at just a touch. The company was contacted and several photos sent and, while their emails were polite and seemingly intent on helping, the team decided the base was uneven. This is definitely not the case! I will put some right angle supports from the base to the uprights to see if this helps. Very concerned as at the moment, the arbour is a complete waste of money!

We’ve reviewed the concerns you’ve raised again, particularly regarding the stability and the gaps in the timber. Before we advise further, could you please check that all of the fixtures and fittings are fully secured and tightened as per the instructions?
Could you also send us a short video showing the issues you’ve described, particularly the movement/wobble of the arbour and the areas where the gaps are concerning you? This will allow us to see exactly what is happening in use rather than relying solely on the photographs and will help us determine the best way to rectify this for you.
Apologies again for the inconvenience, and once we receive the video we’ll review this further.

poor quality control
Panels and hinge supports were warped to the extent they were unusable. The centre window post was positioned in the wrong place, so this had to be moved before the windows could be fitted.

Waste of time
Emailed Shire Gardens for a price to replace Perspex in summer house doors, after replying to several pointless questions from them they finally said they would get a quote to me. Three months later still no price. However I have received several emails asking for a review of their service, I replied to their email asking them to contact me before I did a review, no reply to this. I have since purchased replacement parts elsewhere. Waste of my time dealing with this company.

Asked to review well i would if i had received my order but it should have been delivered Friday 21st got 2 txt to say its on the way but then received phone call at 9.20 to say driver was on the way back to yard as didn't feel to good. Whilst this could be the case I don't understand is why I could be given an alternative delivery there and then but told at 14.30 can't give alternative until driver gets back in the yard and they see how he is then its got to go back into QC to be wrapped again. As I have since read some of the reviews and it seems cancelled deliveries are common i hope the reason thay gave me was true and not the reason they have given to people in the past. I will amend this review when someone from shire decide to update me on delivery and I have actually had the summerhouse

The Orchid is a beautiful design a bit…
The Orchid is a beautiful design a bit different to most. Its a lovely low profile so doesn't loom over our neighbours fence.
Delivered on schedule and complete with all required parts and fixings. Good instructions and easy to assemble. Just one minor hiccup with the roof alignment that needed a bit of carpentry.

It took 2 months to be delivered
It took 2 months to be delivered, lots of panels were patchy and the stain/treatment was poorly applied it also came with some bits missing but sent out promptly when I contacted them
