I ordered a dining table from Shackleton’s after a couple of blips in the ordering it arrived today. The delivery men were great, it was very well packaged and surprisingly easy to assemble. I would have no hesitation in ordering from here again as every time I spoke to someone at Shackleton’s they were friendly and helpful.

Excellent service from purchase through to after-sales

We recently purchased our new sofa and armchair from Shackletons, Nottingham. We had actually visited another retailer on the same retail park first and, despite several members of staff being around, we were completely ignored and decided to leave.

From the moment we walked into Shackletons, the experience couldn't have been more different.

Travis, who looked after us in the showroom, was excellent. He was knowledgeable, patient and took the time to understand exactly what we were looking for. In fact he helped setting the store up for their opening!
There was no pressure, and we were able to have an open and sensible conversation about the products, options and overall package.

What has impressed us just as much, though, is what happened after the sale. The communication has been excellent, with clear email confirmations and information following our purchase, so we have always known where things stand.

We also received a follow-up call from Robyn, who was extremely helpful and professional, going through the order and next steps with us. That sort of personal contact gives you confidence that the attention doesn't stop once the sale has been made.

Buying furniture of this value is a significant purchase, and good service throughout the entire process matters. From Travis in the showroom through to Robyn and the after-sales communication, Shackletons have made the experience feel organised, personal and reassuring.

A very positive experience so far and thoroughly deserving of five stars. We are now looking forward to taking delivery.

This was our first time ordering from Shackletons, and truthfully the barstools we ordered were available for a cheaper price at several other retailers. But, we decided on Shackletons because of the professionalism of their sales and support team, and above all - their honesty about the estimated delivery date. Matt walked us through the timeline for when we could expect delivery, and explained why it would take so long for the barstools to be delivered. They were honest, professional, up front, kind, and above all - didn't make promises they knew they could not keep. We've had terrible past experiences (with much more expensive US furniture retailers) where sales agents assured us that furniture pieces would arrive by a certain date, only to be 3 months late (and we'd have to chase them all the while for any updates). That was not the case with Shackletons. They kept us updated in the months leading up to our delivery, and the delivery itself was seamless. Thank you so much again Shackletons, we are thrilled with our barstools. Highly highly recommend this retailer.

The experience of purchase was great, they arranged white glove delivery with V1 distribution which worked well and I am thrilled with the Four Seasons outdoor furniture

The service and product was brilliant from all the staff the garden furniture is lifestyle it’s a shame it has finish trading because there furniture is very good quality

A 5 star review for a damaged product may seem odd, but that's the point.
Most online retailers get items such as furniture sent direct to the customer.
Damage happens, but it's how the retailer deals with this that makes them worth dealing with - or not.
The way Shackletons dealt with our issue was a lesson to many other retailers.
This has resulted in, 1. This review and, 2. Us going to Shackletons first in our search for any more furniture. So yes. 5 stars we'll earned!

I purchased the Valentine Sunbed which showed grey cushions on 30/5/25

The Bed arrived very quick by professional guys and were very polite and helpful.

On unwrapping the bed I found that the cushions did not match the colour I had seen in the picture, I contacted customer service and spoke to Linzi after some discussions it was decided that the best option was to receive a full refund and get the bed picked up free of charge, it may have been a library picture but there was a swatch showing the colour of cushions that had been delivered , that is fine because of the customer service I will be using Shackleton for some future chairs that I like

We recently ordered a garden table/chair set from Shackletons online. Delivery was fast and well packaged. Unfortunately we were missing some of the bolts required for assembly. We called Shackletons and they immediately set about remedying the situation for us, and within 24hrs we had received a replacement for the missing bits, and assembled our lovely table set! The team did everything they could to make our experience with them positive, thank you!!

A top priced cafe insisting customers share a table at busy times is not good practice. However my main complaint was misleading and inaccurate discounting of a bookshelf I went on to buy, which was advertised as being previously for sale at £529.95 but was now reduced to £299.95. However as I understand the bookcase had never been on offer in the store at £529.95 and that Shackletons store price had always been £349.95 before being reduced. I mentioned this at the time but staff had no comment other than say they would mention this to Mr Shackleton.
I have never been asked to share a table in the past and have never experienced this kind misleading and dubious ⁸
pricing previously, but will now not be shopping there again.

Absolutely fantastic customer care. Many companies say their customer care is good but the proofs in the pudding and I couldn’t be more impressed by Shackletons who sent out missing parts for our table next day delivery. The lady I spoke to was very helpful, rang me back within an hour, and got the job done with no fuss. Excellent.

From the person I spoke to by phone to give me product advice, to the on-line team right through to the delivery company they choose to use: everything was perfect.

We recently purchased a dining room table and chairs. Unfortunately, the table and bench chairs together were not the right fit for our space. We contacted customer service and Linzi dealt with our query as to whether we could bring the set back and exchange for one better suited. Linzi came back to us within the working day and assured us that we could exchange, talking us through each step. Once we had chosen our new set, Linzi arranged for the delivery and collection of the first set. The whole thing was seamless. This demonstrated excellent customer service and we will certainly return in future with this peace of mind. The delivery team that came to the house were also excellent and very friendly, nothing was too much trouble. We are delighted with our new set, thank you!

We used the cafe and found that the music (Smooth Radio) was too loud and intrusive. Despite asking twice, the volume was not reduced. On speaking with the manageress at customer services, her arrogant reply was that we had been sitting in the area where the speaker was, and that was the reason for the excessive volume. "That's the way we have it", was her response, which was most unhelpful. Be advised if you go there, they will not switch down the radio.

I have been twice and the food is fantastic from soup, sandwiches or a meal and dessert, they are all excellent. Well presented and well worth the money. The staff are polite and friendly. Thank you for a wonderful meal every time.

I enjoyed the day at Shackleton there’s so much to see. Great selection of quality furniture, plants, pictures, pots and much, much more. Lovely cafe with good coffee and delicious meals. I definitely recommend.

We bought a Laura Ashley coffee table online, but needed to return it as it didn't colour match a sideboard from the same range (one was honey oak, the other sandy) From making contact and getting excellent advice and support from Linzi in the Customer Support team to taking the table back to the warehouse and being greeted by Alistair, who immediately recalled the information provided the previous day about the return, we felt that as the customer we were being treated fabulously.
They both made us feel that 'the Customer is King', both were very helpful and polite as well as being apologetic for something that was not their fault.
I can't recommend them highly enough.

When we went to collect our new purchase, it was ready and waiting at the warehouse and loaded into the car for us. When it came to putting the furniture together, there were some bolts missing. We contacted Shackletons and Matt dropped the missing bolts of the same evening at our home after hours. The service was great and the furniture looks fab in our home and is the quality you would expect from Shackletons. Thank you

Ordered a mirror on the 20th of December only to be told yesterday it’s out of stock. Terrible! Had a phone call this morning 02/01/2026 to apologise which is unheard of. Very much appreciated.

I made a mistake when ordering a gift online for a friends birthday I contacted Shackletons and spoke to Matt who went 100% out of his way to solve my problem I cannot praise him or Shackletons enough Thank you so much for your help It’s 10 out of 10 for me
