Slow delivery time
This is the 2nd time I've ordered from here and both times I've had shipping delays. This time, part of my shipment didn't get shipped. When I asked, I was told it shipped on 5/23. When I finally got the package, it showed a packing slip with a ship date of 5/26. My order was originally placed on 5/12. This resulted in my customers having to wait due to the lengthy delays. Prices are great, but if you are in a rush, go elsewhere.

Bought a King quilter elite. received it. I had irrgular stritches and I talked to a rep and did not receive the help I needed. I sent the machine back for service, it came back to me unresolved. I keep trying to call and they do not return my calls. I would not even give them a 1 rating!

Reading this review is difficult because what you described in those early weeks — irregular stitches, an unresolved service return, and unreturned calls — fell completely short of the standard our family has held for over 50 years in this industry. There is no excuse for that and we own it fully.
What we can share is that once we were able to reach Pat directly, our team worked with her personally to fully resolve the issue with her King Quilter Elite. We are pleased to say that Pat is now sewing beautifully and that her machine is performing exactly as it should. Dropshipping, No Tracking, and Horrible Customer Service
I ordered a three-piece ruler foot set for my Grace longarm. When I checked the tracking for the order number I was emailed, I was told my order didn’t exist. I called SMP and the woman I spoke to said the item came from Grace directly; SMP is essentially a dropshipper. She said they’d reach out to the Grace rep and have them contact me. I was not contacted. After two days, I called back again and requested they just cancel my order. I explained that I wanted it canceled, refunded, and I wanted a confirmation-of-cancellation email. I had the woman verify my email. I also know they have the correct email on file because I get about 5 promotional emails a day from them. I have neither received my refund, nor the confirmation email I requested. I spent $146 for no item, no insight, and horrible customer service. Stay far, far away from this horrible “store.”

As an authorized Grace dealer we carry hundreds of Grace products. Depending on our current stock levels some items ship directly from Grace to our customers - this allows us to offer a wider selection and faster availability. In your case the ruler foot set shipped directly from Grace, and it appears there was a breakdown in communication between our team and the Grace warehouse that left you without tracking or answers. That is not acceptable and we understand your frustration.
When you called back to cancel your order you made three clear requests - a cancellation, a refund, and a confirmation email. Our team should have ensured all three were completed the same day. We have since strengthened our process for handling direct ship orders and cancellation requests to make sure this does not happen again.
If your refund has not been fully resolved please contact us directly at info@sewingmachinesplus.com or call 800-401-8151 and ask for a customer service manager. We will make it right the same day.

Update: I received my order February 14. The items are all good and as I ordered. However, I will not be ordering from them again. It took 3 phone calls and 39 days to get my order.
I made an order January 7. I got an email that it was backordered and to wait 7-10 days work days. Twelve days later I called them. One of my items had been discontinued. I did not receive an email saying so. It was the only item backordered. The staff was friendly and substitued another color, which was backordered too. I said I didn't want to wait another 7-10 days. January 28, I called again. The staff was friendly and I told them they had billed my credit card Sunday. I cancelled the backordered item. I have yet to receive a shipped email, so I don't know what their products are like.

39 days. Three phone calls. A discontinued item nobody told you about. A second backorder on the substitute. And through all of it you had to chase us down every single time instead of us proactively reaching out to you. That is not a small inconvenience - that is a failure of the most basic promise we make to every customer, which is that we will keep you informed and take care of you.
The part that is hardest to read is that our staff were friendly every time you called. Friendly is not enough when the process lets a customer down this badly. You should never have needed to make a single one of those three calls. We should have contacted you the moment we knew the first item was discontinued. We should have reached out again when the substitute was backordered. None of that happened and we are genuinely sorry.
Experiences like yours directly shape how we operate. We have made significant changes to how we communicate order status, backorder situations and discontinuation notices to our customers, and we continue to raise the bar on what our customers should expect from us at every step of their order.
