Placed an order for 2.5l of wood preserver/1x tube of silicone on Sunday only to have the order refunded by Thursday, without notification neither responding to my email why they did this. Since realising they had changed the option for the 2.5l quantity, non existent now !! Absolute shower, a good company would have just sucked the mop and sent out 3 x 1 litres !!!

Friendly helpful staff, excellent communication and service. Email received to advise that delivery was on its way, delivery arrived promptly, driver was friendly and helpful. Items well packaged. Would use again and definitely recommend to others.

when DHL lost my order these people just reposted my order no problem.

Joke shop rather than a builders merchants. Ordered some sealants 12 days ago with 48hr DHL delivery, nothing. DHL say they haven't received the package. Contacted SSL who" raised a ticket". Apparently shipped out, DHL still awaiting package. Contacted again and received a sarcastic reply mimicking my email. Terrible customer service, believe the bad reviews.

Would give it 0 if that was an option. Ordered goods for next day (expensive). Didn’t arrive, called and told to raise ticket (received ticket confirmation) No response - called again and they couldn’t find the ticket…
Total waste of time and money

Avoid at all costs. The reviews about the slow despatch times are absolutely correct. I tried everything to ensure I could get the grout I ordered as soon as possible.

Raised tickets, had phone calls you name it. They assured me it will be despatched within 3 to 5 working days and then it gets sent on next day delivery via DHL. I asked them if it would have any delays so I can plan ahead told it was all fine. I ordered this on 19/05/26. It is now 29/05/26 and it was meant to be delivered today, delayed again so I asked for this order to be refunded.

I wasted over a week and should have listened to the reviews. I even stated to them what I'd heard and said I want to plan ahead getting told this will be with me soon.

Asked them numerous times if it has been sent, told it was an issue on the couriers side when I had no tracking information. My last interaction which was on Thursday 28/05/26 he said he will keep an eye and make sure it was sent that day if they had an issue with the previous one sent and it will definitely be delivered today.

After checking the tracking it was showing it won't be delivered and it's delayed so I had to cancel the order as I cannot wait any longer they have underpriced other companies but you will be waiting potentially 2 weeks maybe more. Pay the extra £5 and get it from a reputable company as this company seems to be a bit of a joke.

Would not use again. If you have tradesman booked you will be left waiting. Poor communication, poor customer service and poor despatch times.

Paid for an online order on April 28th. After a week I had heard nothing so I emailed SSL but no reply. I have made many phone calls asking where my delivery is, (now 15th May as I write this review) they claim it has been dispatched to DHL, however DHL say they have not received it. Terrible service I would not recommend this company. Edit, credit where it is due, the goods arrived today 18th May.

I see I am not the only one that is complaining about unacceptable slow delivery time and especially when they were aware that I needed the product within 6 days and not later.
Now told they will first deliver next week and taking 9 days and I will have to go to B&Q which my sore back is not going to appreciate and I have no car.
Further I am told that it will just be left outside my property so anyone can take it and that is not their problem.
Wish I had read the reviews.
You would think a building supplier would want you to have your product within 3-4 days, especially when it is just one bag and I live in London and very central.

Fast delivery & good pricing

Very poor customer service!!! They will definitely let you down with your order, very unreliable and take no responsibility for their mess ups!!!

Don't bother. Slow dispatch, slow delivery. Now on the 7th working day since ordering and looks like the item is lost by the courier. Customer service of supplier is non-existent. If they answer the phone and it was an online order they try and say their website team can only deal with it and you have to raise a ticket. Tickets just go unanswered for days. Awful.

Ease of placing order.
When company had to advise of delay - My experience was generally positive, and this is why I gave five star review.
My efforts to establish reason for delay when notified was responded to same day & I was given opportunity to choose in favour or otherwise.
I asked to be notified of any further delays and was notified of POD on the morning of delivery by this business . Ironically speedier than the courier!
When I was in touch with them on delivery they responded same day & promptly.
Sometimes things don’t always go to plan but in my opinion they demonstrated ownership of issue from the point of notification of delay till morning of delivery and frankly that for me is an expectation but not always the case with merchants ! So my experience was as good as what might be expected when problem of delay was identified. Thank you to the pro active members of the team that made a potential disappointing situation good !

Don't even think of using this company, I'm still waiting for part of my order from 16th March (11 days) and now it's says 3 more days. Fobbed off every time I ring and promises to ring back but never done. Delivery company useless as well. It has cost me a lot of money in down time and now I'm having to order from elsewhere as I have no confidence that I'll ever see the rest of my order.

Spoke to the lady charlie on the phone, she was very helpful and made sure my grout was sent in time.

Really quick delivery, spoke to someone on the phone and they were really helpful with advising me on the produts, going above and beyond. It was packed really well and arrived in time. Another great delivery. Will be buying from here again 👍🏽

Avoid if you need anything any time soon. I placed an order almost a week ago and received no updates via email. I contacted them at the beginning of the week and was told it would be dispatched that day and arrive the next day. Two days later I was told the same story again, that they’re a day behind and the items are still at the warehouse. Safe to say iol be taking business elsewhere

Placed and order, was sent a despatch email but there was a 'problem' with the collection according to DHL. I complained and finally it arrived a week after it said it would. Parcel was badly packed, the box was falling apart with a tiny amount of brown paper.
One of the items was leaking, 2 were missing with a written message saying they would be sent.
3 of the 6 sealants have an expiration date of April, just over a month away and were missing the nozzles. One of the sprays has a smashed cap as well but luckily still works so fine.
Had to chase them about the missing items, eventually received a reply after messaging them twice saying they'd send replacement nozzles and a replacement for the leaking item. No mention of the sealants which will expire in just over a month.
New parcel arrived and all they sent were the 2 missing items!
Terrible company.
Will update my review as things progress.

Edit: They eventually sent me a replacement for the leaking item and it looks like very old stock with the label almost destroyed.
They sent replacement nozzles but refused to do anything about the silicon that is near expiration and tried to tell me that it will be ok as they've stored it very well and some rubbish about the expiry date not meaning much until it's opened?!
They have also now deleted my account and stopped communicating with me.
AVOID!

Wow I'm really impressed with this company I was needing some specific items which other online companies had let me down in supplying/fulfilling my order. Sealant supplies packed my order same-day had it shipped out and it arrived to me the next day! I couldn't be more happy 100% recommend thank you so much for your amazing service and fab customer service
