I spent £207 on two bottles of Lithofin Protector for Quartz from Tiling Supplies Direct, and it has been one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve had.

I followed the application instructions exactly as provided. Instead of protecting my quartz worktop, the product left the surface rough to the touch, removed its smooth finish, and failed to provide the stain resistance it claims to offer.

I contacted Tiling Supplies Direct expecting them to investigate and resolve the issue. Instead, they simply passed me directly to the manufacturer rather than managing the complaint themselves. When I spoke to the manufacturer’s representative, Maurice Lewis, he was dismissive, rude, and repeatedly accused me of applying the product incorrectly despite me explaining several times that I had followed the instructions precisely. Rather than investigating a potential product fault, I was effectively told I was lying.

I still have one unopened bottle, yet neither the retailer nor the manufacturer has taken ownership of the issue or offered a satisfactory resolution.

For a product costing over £200, I expected both quality and professional after-sales support. Unfortunately, I received neither. Based on my experience, I would strongly advise others to think twice before purchasing this product or relying on the customer service provided if anything goes wrong.

I had made the firm decision to use epoxy grout for both my toilet and bathroom tiling projects, having researched extensively and knowing that finding the right specification and colour match for this product can be incredibly challenging. After much effort, I sourced and purchased 3 tubes of the exact epoxy grout I needed from this supplier.

I was immediately impressed by the wide selection of tiling supplies available, which were priced very competitively compared to other retailers I had explored. What’s more, every item arrived exceptionally well packaged – the attention to detail in securing the products meant there was absolutely no risk of damage during transit, giving me complete peace of mind.

I had inadvertently overpurchased, but any concerns I had about returns were quickly put to rest when I was connected with Rose. She was knowledgeable, friendly, and made the entire return process simple and straightforward, with clear communication every step of the way.

Good quality products are important, but great customer service truly sets a business apart. I would not hesitate to return for future tiling needs and would highly recommend this supplier to anyone looking for reliable products and support they can trust.

Credit where it's due here. I had originally ordered my materials through a company called getmytaps however they were absolutely useless. Once I received their refund I ordered the equivalent from these people. Their website works well, it's clear and easy to use, shows stock levels +vat prices etc. The next day my order has arrived correctly and free of damage. A first class service.

Excellent service throughout & fast return for refund as I stupidly ordered the wrong size product. Return was easy with next day collection.

Delivery man Dan delivered all 11 bags of cement to exactly where I requested rather than on my door step.

TSD was the only place I could find everything I needed for my tiling project. I got some grout as well as as protective pre-grouting cleaner. All arrived next day as well!

Got another great delivery from them today. I am very pleased the quality of the service has been kept high since two years ago. Ordered yesterday in the morning and the nomoreply boards arrived this morning. Craig was super nice and helped me unload everything in my outbuilding. Great service from Craig. Purchases were made for a redevelopment project. The quote was competitive and they price matched where relevant. On one occasion an order was even delivered by hand. I will certainly be placing orders again.

I spoke to someone before placing an order. She was very helpful and knowledgeable about the products and advised me on exactly what I'd need for my project. The Schluter products are also excellent.

They really have everything! Bought several times from them and I've never had any issues. Craig delivered a few times at my property and he was very helpful and polite!

Order arrived 18 hours after I placed it, despite me selecting 2-3 day delivery. Driver was friendly and checked the order through with me before going. Fantastic service!

Great service from start to finish. The sales team were very helpful in sending out the proforma invoices to get the goods paid for. And a special mention to Craig for going above and beyond to get our delivery to site on time, even though we gave him the wrong delivery address first. Would certainly recommend them.

I first called to check items were in stock before ordering online, was assured I would receive them next day if ordering before 2pm and would be delivered by DPD. Then placed order for the two ditra heat kits I required before 12pm, and paid for next day delivery £17+
Was emailed to say one was not in stock in warehouse, but the other one that was in stock would be sent out for next day delivery. Get emails to say item will be delivered by FedEx and would arrive between 9.20am - 13.20pm. When it did not arrive by 13.20pm, tracking updated delivery time to before 18.00pm. When it did not arrive by 18.00pm tracking updated delivery time to ‘end of day’
Still did not arrive by ‘end of day’ and waited at job until gone 7pm. Spent my whole day waiting for the delivery that I needed for the days work.
Turns out that not only did I lose a whole days money waiting for nothing, but also spent £17+ for no reason.
I also phoned in the morning to ask when the other kit that was out of stock would be sent out, as both have been paid for. Was told that I would be called back to let me know. It’s now nearly 8pm and I’m yet to receive said phone call.
