We made 2 visits to the store. First visit received poor service we made a second due to the sofa we wanted and received great service from the lady.

Elliot our salesperson was very helpful, friendly but not to pushy and very knowledgeable about the SCS products, nothing was to much trouble for him.

I was looking for a sofa bed, liked what I had seen online so I went to the ScS shop. There was a good range of sofa beds and thankfully the staff were very friendly and one member of staff was Nick.
He shoud us around the sofa beds and how else they were to open out to a bed.
And the wid range of colours there were.
I said to Nick we would go home and think about what we had seen and come back in a day or two.
At home I looked online and found what I thought was the same sofa bed at a better price than the one in the shop, so went to the shop and spoke to Nick and he said yes that is a good price but he would have to speak to his manager.
The manager in the shop was Claire, she, like Nick was very plecnt, polite and helpful. Claire said that it right but needed to check it out and she did and found it was the same sofa but it wasn't a sofa bed.
I'm so glad I went back to the shop and didn't just order online and got sofa with no bed.
After talking to Nick and Claire we ended up buying two sofa beds and we very happy with the people who work at the ScS in Harlow essex and the lovely range of furniture that ScS have to offer.

First thing in walking in at the Harlow site was the lovely smell. Secondly all the staff wore a smart outfit. All this before meeting Elliot, who was very helpful, not pushy or putting pressure on. Good sense of humour and listened to what we were looking for. Great experience, will share with others, why go anywhere else.

Disgraceful shop with extremely unprofessional staff. Had to reselect a sofa as the one I bought 2 years previously was not fit for purpose and it took 2 years to get them to admit this. New sofa was promised to be delivered before Christmas but this has not happened despite receiving a text to say my furniture had arrived at the depot and is ready for delivery. I have contacted them numerous times to try to arrange delivery but I get lies and now they completely ignore emails. I still have not been given a delivery date. I have raised a complaint in 3 seperate emails and the manager (Claire) completely ignores them. If you try to get help from customer services to raise your complaint, expect to be in the queue for over 200 minutes before getting through! Terrible shop with incompetent staff. Now complaint has been logged with customer service as the store ignores emails, and im having to wait for someone from another department to contact me to discuss what has happened and try to arrange delivery, so we still have no delivery date.
Terrible service.

as you can see Lynsey from scs have replied to my review appearing to be apologetic and happy to look into this for me - I have done as they suggested and they have also ignored the email however I did see on another review where someone was trying to pay their balance, that Lynsey had tried to call them to take the money.

Don't use this company, I suspect they are taking deposits and payments for furniture etc but I won't be surprised if we hear they are going into liquidation.

We ordered a sofa from SCS about 7 days ago and were informed that we could change the order within 5 days. However, we found it nearly impossible to reach customer service to make the change. The contact number is perpetually unreachable, and when we finally resorted to sending an email, we received a response stating that the deadline to change the order had passed.

What’s the point of offering customers the option to change an order when you make it impossible to get through? This is completely misleading. When you call their customer service, the automated system indicates that you might have to wait up to 95 minutes to speak to someone. While I understand shops can be busy, a 95-minute wait time for a sofa retailer seems excessive. This feels less like a "busy" issue and more like an understaffing problem—unless, of course, they have a massive customer base who all prefer to buy sofas over the phone, which I highly doubt.

The only positive note from this experience was the excellent service provided by the salesperson in-store, which is why I’m adding one star.

Overall, do not trust SCS. If you encounter any issues with your order, reaching out to them will be a nightmare. Avoid the frustration and shop elsewhere.

Extremely disappointed with the delivery and the sofa received from SCS in the last few minutes.

The delivery crew damaged our front door in the process of delivery, and I asked the delivery team to update SCS office to get in contact to resolve the issue and cover the repair. They said that it would not be repaired by SCS and that they would fix the damage.

I refused to sign the document confirming that no damage was done to the property during delivery.

On review of the sofa fabric, it has several scratches to the fabric in visible areas which is also not expected and is in acceptable condition for a brand new sofa that cost two thousand pounds.

I am very dissatisfied with the delivery process due to the damage to the front door, and the state of the sofas fabric,

I have called the after care line and it has a 101 minute wait time so I have requested a call back.

This product and service is not fit for purpose.

Therefore I request a full refund for the sofa, delivery cost and repairs for the front door from SCS.

Excellent service.
