This is hands down the worst “trust” and “site rating” platform I’ve ever experienced. Scamadviser hands out scores to others, damages the reputation of honest businesses, yet doesn’t even meet the lowest standards of its own “trust” criteria. Here’s my experience:

Verification email went straight to spam.
If you claim to judge scams, at least make sure your own emails are deliverable.

Confirmation link completely broken.
Clicking the verification email link throws a fatal SSL protocol error (“ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR”). The page simply does not open. Zero trust in your own infrastructure.

Manual review process is a joke.
The “manual verification” button leads to a dead end — a Typeform page that says “access denied.” No way for a legitimate business owner to actually get their site reviewed.

No acknowledgement of support requests.
I sent a support email and didn’t even get a basic auto-reply confirming receipt. How can you claim to protect customers when you can’t even respond to them?

Damages legitimate websites while being a technical disaster itself.
Scamadviser throws random “risk” scores at perfectly valid businesses (hurting their reputation and SEO), but cannot deliver even basic web reliability on its own site.

Zero transparency, zero accountability.
No explanation for technical errors, no human support, and no way to escalate or appeal.

Summary:
This platform gives out arbitrary ratings that hurt honest businesses, while their own system is full of fatal errors, dead links, and broken processes.

Scamadviser, before you judge anyone else, fix your own backyard! Until then, no business should trust your scores. 1 star is too generous.

Advice:
Use Amazon Pay, Google Reviews, Stripe, or Trustpilot to establish trust — not this joke of a site.

We want to raise awareness that Scamadviser.com is turning out to be more of a scam than a trusted source.

✅ They do not respond to emails, even when you send them official documents and clear proof.
✅ Their so-called “verification” algorithm is completely ridiculous and suspicious, giving false ratings to real and legitimate businesses.
✅ Instead of helping consumers, they mislead people and create distrust towards honest companies.

A platform that lacks transparency, ignores communication, and assigns misleading trust scores should not be considered reliable.

This company claims Dorothy bags (uk) are legit. They aren't as proven by the reviews on Trustpiot - not one review above 1 star. They operate from China- but claim to be British. Enough said.
Others claim they are reporting good companies as risky and not legit??

I see problems reported by other users but when I later Googled the website which ended up being a scam, Scamadviser.com was one of the first links listed that indicated "merrellstoreau.com" was fraudulent. I did further investigation to verify that the website was, indeed, a scam.

I also like the fact that the website allows me to indicate additional information beyond a simple review. This is where I entered details of the scam website.

Scamadviser is completely unreliable and harmful to legitimate businesses. They falsely marked my website as a scam without any evidence, and as a direct result, I lost a large number of customers and revenue. Their so-called “algorithm” damages reputations and discourages potential clients from trusting genuine businesses.

Instead of helping people, this site spreads misinformation and destroys hard-earned credibility. They do not take proper steps to verify facts, nor do they provide transparent explanations. I know many other legitimate businesses have also been wrongly labeled.

Scamadviser should not be trusted. If you run a business, beware—being listed here can severely hurt your customer trust and sales for no valid reason.

@timepiece_elite Instagram copy watch store is a scam. Offer no COD, after payment they'll say it'll be delivered on 3,4 days. And they'll not provide you any tracking details.

Our brand has been around for over 8 years and have thousands of customers. We're also verifed on many platfroms from facebook to instagram.

Easy platform to navigate. Hopefully any and all information helps to protect innocent and vulnerable people’s monies.

They are making false claims about my website! Their listings are outdated, and they keep labeling my site as suspicious, which has damaged my business. We are organizing a European class action against websites that allow themselves to call small European merchants fraudulent or suspicious, just to force them to pay in order to maintain a good reputation!

Unfairly labelled a scam website, despite many verified Google reviews and an 8-year-long business. It is damaging the reputations of small businesses. Like, small companies don't have enough to battle with!

So far so good. They responded immediately to my complaint so we will see what happens now.

I was able to check out an online merchant site selling shoes and found enough information to determine whether or not I should go forward with my purchase. I then searched for a company that had recently scammed me and I saw they were showing a good rating which prompted me to report that same company to reflect my experience. I had already reported that company to the Canadian Anti-fraud Centre but I will report that company everywhere I can in order to hopefully save others from losing their hard earned money to an online scammer.

This company wanted to know my security log in for my phone before I could register a scam complaint. Seems massively dodgy. Scammers scamming the scammed.

James Chong: Manager/Owner evicted many black women suddenly because they had too many belongings, according to him. He discriminates against black women. He has security cameras everywhere, and told a woman living there he saw her taking a shower. James has a big housekeeper and a smaller housekeeper. Both housekeepers are Latino, the big housekeeper speak English, the smaller speaks no English but stares at you meanly. The big housekeeper asked her personal questions for example: Are you on your period? Are you going on a date? Where did you go out of town?

The housekeepers makeup lies about who live there and James believes anything they say. He is a pathological liar and racist as well. He will allow you to stay long term, then when he's done with you, he will kick you out. He also has fire hazard issues(beds in front of windows, and windows that don't open). And will continuously harass you asking is this your belongings?

Just opened a new Shopify store (100%) legit and within a day it got flag as suspicious and could be a scam???? I have contacted them to remove it but how can they be so reckless. It's obviously an uncheck automated system that is causing more harm than good.

Jermaphobi4me.com has just launched a new product line and has been falsely classified as a possible scammer. We are a real reputable company selling real wholesome products to our consumers. Integrity is a must in our company. If only they were in the US. We would contact our lawyer for false accusations and defamation. This company scam advisor isn't legitimate as they now have a poor reputation of tearing down start up companies without factual information. They only go by assumptions based on an algorithm not facts for new businesses.
