ScamAdvisor is a complete scam. The site pretends to provide trust scores and scam ratings, but the information is unreliable, misleading, and often completely wrong. They use automated scripts with no proper verification, and their ratings can easily be manipulated. Many legitimate businesses are labeled as scams without proof, while real scams sometimes get high scores. This site cannot be trusted for any serious review or business verification.

I was relieved to be able to post my experience with a fraudulent online shoe shop ( BergXperten , which advertises via email and social media), which steals photos of existing, high-quality shoes from other, legitimate websites to sell cheap Chinese counterfeits through a strawman in Albania.

People need to be awake and aware of these scams and not simply believe that, "Oh, their About page says the company's based in London, so the conditions will be standard and according to EU laws."

(This fake shop hides its typical Chinese policies in its terms and conditions, which I didn't (couldn't) read, because they don't offer them to you and I didn't think I needed to search them out. I SHOULD HAVE.)

Smooth and efficient. The best part is the action taken after verifications.

ScamAdviser is harming small handmade businesses from USA with completely false information, you contact them and they tell you to give them all of your information for free for the first time, then they blackmail you with it saying you now have to pay them over $15 to keep your business afloat. My shop has not made a single transaction through the official site, it's brand new and under construction, yet they labeled it as a scam with a 20% trust rating.

I’m shocked to see my legitimate small business (DanaVi Aurum) wrongly flagged as a potential scam on ScamAdviser.com with no evidence or contact attempt. This kind of unverified labeling is incredibly damaging for new entrepreneurs working hard to build trust and reputation. ScamAdviser should seriously reconsider how it evaluates websites — your system is hurting honest businesses.

I wrote to Scamadviser about a scamming outfit, First Nexus (firstnexus.io). They duly gave them a trust score of 1/100.
However, with all the bad publicity, First Nexus then morphed into Odintc.com. I have also warned Scamadviser about this, but they have given Odintc a trust score of 100%!!
Clearly Scamadviser don't do their due diligence. If they did, I would not have been scammed.

Viene esta empresa ladrona y estafadora como Scamadviser a escribir que el Certificado SSl es poco confiable.
Señores no se puede instalar un Certificado SSL sin que la empresa que maneja el hosting lo asigne (ya todas las empresas de hosting ofrecen este certificado SSL)

La respuesta es que debemos pagarle para que nos quiten de ahí, ósea nos están pidiendo dinero, no validan nada, solamente por que es un sitio nuevo lo ponen en sus lista para que les paguemos, ladrones, ¿Dónde se denuncia esta empresa estafadora Scamadviser? para completar aparece registrada en estados unidos.
Alguien que sepa de las leyes en E.E.U.U para demandarlos por estafa y estar enlodando el nombre de las nuevas paginas que aparecen en internet.

They have not replied to my emails at all. There are 3 reviews completely unrelated to the products and services my brand offers and need to be taken down. These fake reviews talk about crypto.

Seems like the only way to solve this is to raise this issue legally, my team will be in touch.

My website has been flagged as suspicious for a long time now! It is an approved and verified site on Google Merchant Center, Facebook Shop, and other platforms, so this is very frustrating. I believe it might be time to gather feedback from other EU merchants who are facing the same situation and consider taking collective action to address this issue.

They have married my legitimate business with low score and said that my site sells prescription medications. I am a small artist who hand prints t-shirts in small batches and custom one offs. I have never sold anything if the sort. This is damaging to my reputation and there is no way to contact them about it. They should be sit down as a scam themselves.

I reached out to this platform several months ago regarding the evaluation of a project I’m involved with. Despite multiple attempts to get clarification or feedback, I never received a response.

The project has been publicly available and open source for over a year and is listed in several well-known web3 directories. However, it received an extremely low trust rating without a clear explanation.

This experience has raised concerns for me about the transparency and consistency of the platform’s review process. I hope they improve their communication and provide clearer criteria for how ratings are assigned.

Ik heb een website waarbij ik horloge accessoires verkoop, ik kwam er achter dat er allemaal slechte recensies op scamadvisor staan over mijn website. De recensies gaan niet eens over de producten die wij leveren. Meerdere malen geprobeerd contact op te nemen met scamadvisor via het contact formulier, via the mail en ingelogd en geprobeerd om deze reviews handmatig te reporteren. Geen antwoord niks. Heel slecht dit raad niemand dit aan!!

I'm a small business owner getting trashed by this company. Scamadvisor has an arbitrary (automated ??) rating system, incorrectly labelling legitimate websites as scams. They damage small businesses with their lack of due diligence.

They claim our website hides the identity of the owner, even though we clearly state the founders' names, the legally registered entity, contact address and our business registration number. What else can we do?

They incorrectly claim that "internal review systems' are being used, which "can be easily manipulated by the website owner". We're using a third-party service to verify reviews...

They're making money with fear-mongering. Before trashing other people's businesses and reputation, they should have the decency to send a human to check out websites - it takes 1 minute - or simply stop providing misleading information.

And no - I don't care that I, as a business owner, can "claim" my website by sending them business registration and personal ID documents. It constitutes a full-time job to "claim" my business on all these rating tools out there.

Was easy to navigate the site .
Hopefully with the help of this site many dodgy companies will be outed and save the consumer from being ripped off by companies who are not legitimate!

I recently started to investigate a website calling itself "Scam Advisor" . It falsely claims to offer unbiased insights, risk ratings.
Unfortunately, my experience revealed something quite opposite:

Based on my findings, "Scam Advisor" appears to engage in questionable practices, as it spreading fake reviews, working with suspicious partners, and misleading genuine users.
They must demonstrate more transparency and accountability, I strongly advise potential clients to be extremely careful, also not to believe anything when using their platform. clients always need to do more of own research, Also use more reputable channels to avoid falling victim to fraudulent schemes use this website to phish.

ScamAdviser unfairly labels new or low-traffic websites as scams using a flawed, automated system. My site, which is 100% legitimate, was rated “very low trust” with no clear reason or way to appeal. They offer manual reviews only if you pay which raises serious ethical concerns.

This site damages reputations and misleads users with unreliable scores. It’s doing more harm than good and should not be trusted as a source of truth.

Our website is listed as a scam. Btw, We are a small business in the NL, and we are not. Don't bother replying to this and asking me to pay to take it off because I won't. Karma will come one day.
