Great service yesterday. We'd had a problem with our jockey wheel whilst en route to mid Wales. Called into Salop Leisure on the off chance they could sort the problem. Half an hour later we were back on the road. Big thank you to the lady on reception and the guy from the workshop 😃

From start to finish, things went well. On our first visit, we were introduced to George Harris (salesperson) who invited us to browse at our own pacee and come back to him with anything we liked.

We found a motorhome that suited us, and enquired about part-ex. George was very helpful and gave us figures. He also gave us all the measuremnets we needed to check that the vehicle would fit at home.

After checking everything was Ok, we confirmed with George that the vehicle suited our needs and aranged to take our old motorhome for valuaton. This visit was successful and we paid a deposit.

Three weeks later, the handover was very thorough, and we were allowed to stay overnight on their campsite, which was very useful.

A couple of little niggles were sorted straight away. You can't check everything until you actually use it!!

Overall, this was one of the best buying experinces we have had, and it was all down to George. Thank You very much George.

I don’t know who has actually been writing the 5* reviews for this company but if you search other review sites there is a very different rating for them! In my experience after 2 years of dealing with them, I would strongly suggest taking a contract lawyer with you to proof-read every aspect of their contract! If you choose to deal with them then it’s very much a case of “caveat emptor”

The sales team spent time with us without pressing us to buy. We eventually bought a caravan which George Harris sold to us after understanding our needs and requirements. George ensured we we satisfied before, during and after our purchase. George is probably the best salesperson we have ever had the pleasure of doing business with. Thanks Geroge.

We went to salop leisure to look at buying our first caravan and we met George Harris who was amazing,
George asked us to look at all of the caravans at our own leisure there was no pressure to purchase, we then found what we were looking for George took us to his office and went through everything as we were frist time buyers then asked us to go back to the caravan in question before we made our final decision,
George made absolutely certain that we were happy before we purchase. George Harris definitely deserved a 5 star rating as the customer service we have received and continue to receive has been amazing. I would definitely recommend salop leisure to anyone who is thinking of buying a caravan or motor home as the customer service and support has been second to none. Thank you George Harris and salop leisure for all the help and support in buying our first caravan we are so happy with our purchase.

Having purchased our Elddis Motorhome post Covid in 2021 from Salop Leisure with the wonderful help and support from George Harris, we decided to return this year on the off chance to maybe upgrade to something a little larger, modern and updated. As George had been so attentive to our last purchase, we had no hesitation in seeking his support and advice and we therefore gave George our budget and large list of must have and needs for our potential new purchase. True to form a few weeks after our visit, George gave us a call to come in a view a potential new Motorhome, and we were delighted that the vehicle we viewed ticked everything we wanted and after some careful negotiations, was within budget and quickly secured and purchased the new Motorhome.
Since ordering the vehicle a couple of weeks ago, George has kept us totally up to speed with everything, addressed every additional feature we wanted and we picked our vehicle up last weekend. The handover was as smooth as could be and the attention to detail of the handover was just perfect from all the staff at Salop, but more so from George whom we cannot thank enough for his support, assistance and for taking on our challenges to find our perfect home from home.

Firstly, A Big ThankYou to George at Salop Liesure for all his help in purchasing our first motorhome. Nothing was to much trouble for him and we were kept well informed all the way..And although we have had a few issues with our motorhome Salop have been outstanding with their support and help, We would highly recommend them to anyone and will certainly be going back for any future purchases. If you visit ask for George who is very noligable and will point you in the right direction.

Amazing service we worked with George to buy a caravan and everything went so well such a smooth sailing experience… he made everything very clear from start to finish and still continues to make sure we happy with our purchase months down the line .. I will definitely be buying my future caravans with George and the team again 💙

Be warned don’t buy a static on one of their sites they will leave you in 25K debt and put it down to needed to make a profit.
I bought a static on one of their sites last Nov. By May we had a family breakdown and serious health issues that meant we could no longer make good use of the caravan. The contract had been worded to disguise the fact that they won’t let you sell your caravan on privately. You can really only sell it back to them or off site for a massive loss. So they happily bought my 32K caravan back for 15K (all it was worth in this tough market where caravans are not selling, they told me) and also told me I had lost over a thousand in unused site fees too. They then sold the caravan on without even having to advertise it for 29K. So in less than six months they made a tidy profit on both sales. Asked if they thought it was ethical to leave people 25K in debt so that they can make a nice tidy profit. Yes they do!! Between the two transactions they must have made at least 30K in profit. I understand businesses sole purpose is to make profit for the shareholders. But at the financial devastation of their customers? My mental health has been in the toilet and have felt suicidal. Not ethical in my minds eye. My advice, go to one of the many other caravan sites who will let you sell your caravan on privately in case you have a sudden change in your family life and don’t want to then have to work well past retirement age so that Salop Leisure can line their pockets and give no mind to their customers. Come on guys, make a profit ethically and treat your customers like human beings. PS anyone reading this that has been put in this position by Salop let me know, I am looking into legal action over the contract, unfair transaction and ethical behaviour of the company. If successful it would hopefully benefit others that they have done the same thing to.

We researching about buying our first motorhome, reviews were excellent for Salop Leisure. No sales team were pushy at all. George, our salesman, was supportive and honest when discussing the different vehicles we had short listed. He was really knowledgeable and able to answer all our questions, especially as we were first time buyers. He made us feel very confident in our decisions for example how to store our motorhome. When we picked up our motorhome Peter was brilliant at showing us everything we needed to know and his knowledge and tips were invaluable. He took time and trouble to make sure we felt confident before driving off. George after sales care had been brilliant and nothing is too much trouble. High recommended.

This is the 2nd purchase we have made from Salop and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. After our first dealings we immediately went back to find George. He is a really helpful and genuine person. We were looking to buy our first caravan so he very helpfully guided us through the things to think about and talked us out of the one we thought we wanted thanks to his practical knowledge (and he was right). George was helpful throughout the purchase and even put up with the incredibly large list of registration plates I sent him to help us find a car that would tow the caravan safely. On the day of pickup the person who showed us round was again very knowledgeable and patient giving an excellent handover (unfortunately I can't remember his name). The after care I haven't used for some time but history tells me that this is also a good service and will be using them in the future.

Exceptional experience provided by Salop and especially George Harris.
Very professional and prestige service provided when purchasing our new caravan making it a pleasurable experience. From initial approach to follow up call after handover, the personal and friendly service bestowed by George was exceptional. Allowed as much time as we needed to discover the caravan we needed to suit my us as well as considering my Wife's mobility issues. We have dealt with Salop for over 5 years and found the Sales, service and after sales blue chip. We would highly recommend Salop Leisure.

This is our fourth caravan from Salop Leisure and it’s always a pleasure to deal with George, such a kind and helpful man. He’s a credit to the Organisation. We have a niggling brake problem with the Coachman that I’m sure the Aftersales Department will sort out eventually. So 5 Stars for George and 4 Stars overall (simply because the van will have been back twice for the same problem)

We have been dealing with George Harris at salop leisure shrewsbury for over 3 years now brought a new tourer in 2021 and now just purchased a motorhome. George is so knowledgable kind and considerate nothing is too much trouble he always goes above and beyond for his customers Aftersales is second to none wouldn't go any were else thank you George.

Just completed the purchase of a Swift Carrera 144 Auto from Salop Leisure. I was most impressed by George Harris who seemed to have infinite patience over about 5 months of my questions and changes of mind. Final hand over was a very effortless process and I’d happily recommend others to use Salop for their purchase.

I bought a caravan from Salop leisure in June and collected at the beginning of July. The salesman George Harris was extremely even to the extent of chatting to whilst he was on holiday because the day before I was originally meant to collect the van I was taken to hospital so could not collect it. When I did collect it he spent a lot of time ensuring that everything was fully serviced and in tip top condition. He felt like a friend rather than a salesman. I will go to the firm when I next change my van even though the company is 200 miles away. The young lady Hannah who is a mechanic spent a long time explaining how everything worked. A good combination of employees.
