Aftersales practices blatantly and unapologetically breach their statutory obligations under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. They parrot a dishonest script, hiding behind warranty terms, wilfully misleading customers in an attempt to avoid taking responsibility for repair/replacement regarding quality, fit for purpose and premature failures. In doing so, they convince unaware customers to pay for repairs and components Salop Leisure are obliged to repair; Consumer Rights Act provides customers with a Statutory Right (enshrined in Law) to raise a claim within 6 years (SIX YEARS) of purchase and Salop telling customers a component “only has one year’s warranty” is a lie. A blatant, intentional, fraudulent lie.

When challenged, they ignore emails and advise raising issues with their solicitor. However, they subsequently refuse to provide details of their solicitor.
Why might that be? 🤷‍♂️

In decades of ownership of many cars and caravans, mostly purchased new, I have never encountered an aftersales department lacking any credible or accountable leadership or a more inadequate, incompetent, dishonest and disingenuous mistreatment of customers.

I do not recommend Salop Leisure and strongly advise you to take your money elsewhere.

Avoid. Avoid. Avoid and instead, look for the upcoming YouTube series featuring an exposé on caravan aftersales practises, where Salop Leisure is featured very badly In episode 2.

Always help full staff. Physio employee is excellent, have had treatment off Jason on many occasions, always top results. Be sure to pass this on to him.

The whole process couldn't have been better. We told them what we were looking for and were shown around by James Yewbrey without once being made to feel pushed into anything. More than happy with the service. The icing on the cake was the free night stay at their Love2stay site!

A great team from the receptionist the shop and sales all did their up most to help my wife and myself, from the initial spotting the caravan we liked to picking items up in the shop, also ordering items in,Thanks to you all.

Have purchased two new caravans from Salop leisure and have dealt with George on both occasions who has been very helpful and accommodating. George's enthusiasm and attention to detail makes the purchasing process exciting and very pleasurable.

We've just bought a new caravan from them. The salesman - George Harris - was great help.

They gave us a free night at the on-site campground which was very helpful to test everything out. We did find one issue which was fined promptly.

Would definitely use them again.

The sales people were fantastic, but once the money is exchanged you're on a conveyorbelt of people that need to be out of the way.

We arrived for our appointment at 11 and stood for over half an hour, with young kids clearly getting bored. This was supposed to be a nice family event. We were eventually told that somebody else would do our handover and he said on multiple occasions that we needed to be quick as he had another appointment at 12. During the demonstration he pulled a panel off the wall so that needed to be repaired.

James Yewbrey was fantastic, I cant express that enough, but it seems the service and handover team can't keep up with the fantastic sales team and are over stretched. We spoke to the manager who acknowledged that it fell short of their standards and there were opportunities for improvement.

We're also waiting for three more parts that failed the pre delivery inspection (we waited 4 weeks for collection so that the PDI could be done, but there were still things we need to take the caravan back for). I understand we were warned this could be the case, but surely 4 weeks is enough time to resolve these things?).

Its a well polished and prestigious brand but I think there is work needed beyond the sales department as they're understaffed or over stretched which resulted in something that should have been exciting, turning into us wanting to get out of there as soon as possible.

The caravan itself is fantastic, we love it, but we'll probably use our previous caravan seller for the service as they had much better service and handover departments.

We just picked up our Swift Sprite caravan from Salop Leisure, and we couldn’t be happier—not just with the caravan itself, but with the entire experience, thanks to George Harris.

We have just purchased a motorhome from Salop Leisure. George Harris was a pleasure to deal with.He was extremely helpful ,informative and supportive.
Nothing was too much trouble for him, top notch George.

We went to look for a touring caravan upgrade at the Shrewsbury site.
We were introduced to George, who immediately put us at ease with his genuine interest in how we arrived at this point.

George assessed our requirements and showed us the wide selection of caravans available in our price range. We jumped at one and were immovable in our choice, until someone had beaten us to it!

Undeterred George suggested a caravan that was due in, saying it would be pristine and right for us. We weren’t sure, but we returned to look and he was right!!

We purchased the caravan and returned to collect it. We were given a complete overview and demo of its features by Peter in the workshop. We then drove it up to Salop Leisure’s own site, Love2stay, adjacent to the showrooms, for a complimentary 2 night stay.

Every step was covered with accuracy, customer service a priority and a quality product delivered.

Thanks George for sorting us out a superb Swift Celeste, it’s superb.

Sales team excellent.we have bought 3 caravans and two motorhomes from Salop and it as always been an enjoyable experience..
We have dealt with mainly George in sales but when George as not been there the rest of the team are really helpful.
The lads in the shop are always ready to help and of course the coffee shop does a very nice coffee and cake

Having ordered our Kontiki motorhome at NEC was very much looking toward to collecting on 1st May original plan was to put trade motor home side by side to aid double handling etc and be able to make use of 2 night gifted stay at love to stay site
Unfortunately on final plan to swap wasn’t possible so site booking cancelled disappointing but we thought ok
Collect on 1st May see how we get on.
Collection day after thorough attention To detail explaining how it all works was thorough and made pleasurable to know by collection man explaining all we needed to know.
Having collected setting tv etc found Swift had not connected the external sat cable to internal socket making that useless to use.
We had to pay tv enginee to solve finding Swift had failed to joint cables with a £1.50 female joint connector to solve this issue.
We can say sales man Dan was more than apologetic about our issues to solve our problem.
Overall happy with Salop general politeness , disappointing we had to solve problem on such a very expensive motorhome.

I purchased a caravan on 15th March and on my 3rd trip away my fridge was not working. We checked electrics and fuses, all working fine. I called Salop and an Amazing man called Ian called me back. I cannot thank Ian enough for his patience and guidance, he talked us through what he thought was wrong and talked us through every step to find the issue and rectify it. He was totally professional, incredibly friendly and enjoyed a little banter with my friends in the van.! 😜

This was our fourth caravan purchase from Salop. We have given five stars for all our caravan purchases however the after sales service drops a star in our opinion.
Our salesman, George Harris has dealt with our last three purchases and he feels like part of the family now, always has time for us. Keeping us up to date with delivery etc and answering our endless questions. Always in a friendly and positively helpful manner. Thoroughly recommended

We also really enjoyed our free night at Love2stay which we increased to 3 nights. The Salop Team are clearly very proud of what they’ve achieved and so they should be.

Can’t finish without mentioning the Cafe which provides delicious Cakes and Sandwiches. You can’t go wrong with visiting them.

From start to finish the experience of buying our first motorhome has been easy and stress free, due primarily to the expertise and diligence of George Harris who could not have been more helpful. We never felt pressured at any time during the sales process, were kept updated on developments throughout, the delivery handover was professional and thorough and the free stay on site to give us a chance to get used to motor homing and iron out any niggles was a great bonus. We would definitely recommend Salop Leisure to our friends and if we were to purchase again would not hesitate in returning here again.

From our early ideas of changing from a caravan to a motorhome we have had exceptional service from salop leisure especially George Harris ( our sales representative). Recently picked up our 4th Caravan from Salop Leisure. This was the first from Salop, but has been the best experience of the three dealers we have used previously.

The hand over process was very comprehensive, even as a seasoned caravaner I picked up some things.
