BE VERY CAREFUL USING ROYAL MINT

Our order was delivered by DHL!
The package was handled to me in the front garden, as I was on my way out.
Courier did not ask for any ID or for a signature and did not take a picture.
Value of order over £15,000!
Absolutely unbelievable.
Do not use the Royal Mint for anything with a high value.

You won’t be able to reach them by phone and they take weeks to reply to any emails.

There is something very wrong with this company, which is a shame as the products are good.

More Difficult to Place U.S. Orders

As always, the product quality of the Royal Mint is Excellent! While I realize special care needs to be observed due to our current administration, and tariffs, once we place an order, it should set a delivery precedent for future orders, and allow them to be placed online. In addition, when I called Customer Service to place the order, I was frequently told the phone service was down, causing many tries at Long Distance charges. Please review the process. Thank You.

I was promised a 10% discount on my…

I was promised a 10% discount on my purchase i paid the full price and was told I would get the refund a few days later after approx 1 month I contacted them and they just said it didn't apply to the items I purchased surly the sales consultant should of been aware and should not of promised this.In my opinion they should stick to the arrangement made when purchased so they clearly don't have a price promise

This review is in relation to the medals and pack from the Royal Mint treasure hunt. After successfully completing the hunt, I decided I would order all of the medals as a reward to myself for my achievement. The first set, unfortunately 2 of the medals crushed the plastic in the pack, so I had to return it. 2 weeks later (due to a stock check), I received my new pack with new medal. One medal, the mastermind one, for in the pack perfectly, the other 3, all crushed the plastic holder again, and wouldn't slot in. For £40, I find this really frustrating, and I'm genuinely contemplating returning the whole lot for a full refund now. I refuse to pay full price for either having 3 medals that aren't cut correctly to fit in the card, or the card is that poor quality, that they'll simply continue to be crushed. Disappointed sadly.

Had to remind them about my own order, otherwise never would have been sent! So 6 wks for an overstock bar!

Terrible service from royal mint! Never had such a bad service from any online mint!
Absolutely unbelievable, to have waited this long for an overstock item to be delivered! Over 6 weeks to wait, an the only reason they sent it was because I had replied to an Spam advert them. So basically, they forgot to send!

Ridiculous for such poor standards from a professional company. So I think this review is justified, informing other other collectors an taking your money elsewhere in future, as this is really terrible service from Royal mint. I have heard this from others, but fortunately not witnessed it up until now! 

6 weeks for an overstocked item! Shocking 👎👎👎

Half was sent wrong. So returned 1 coin an after 2 phone conversations and email exchange 5 weeks later still don't have a refund

I can not give a good review as I purchased an item and royal mail said it was delivered. On the tracking it shows a picture of my door. I contacted regarding this and still heard nothing back. It's been stressing me out and worrying me. Both the royal mail and the royal mint are substandard. I dont know what to do im just hoping this gets sorted as soon as possible 🙏

Head of Customer Service can't even meet own standards

Without access to online account for 5 months as a result of their IT issues, repeatedly failed to fix. No proactive apologies/gestures to those affected. In excess of 2 hours spent on phone to call staff. Escalated to Head of Customer Services along with an additional complaint about poor experience of attempting to sell bullion, without reply.

Head of Customer Service eventually responded only after I sent a further recorded letter by post to HQ. Admitted to failing to meet her own Company Service Standards in timeliness. The response was inadequate and did nothing to address my inconvenience. My prior suggestion of a goodwill gesture ignored, my further reply is as yet unanswered.

Royal Mint falsely advertise an "Instant Quote" on their sales page - took 5 working days in my case. Not fit for purpose. They acknowledge the need to review use of the word "Instant" but continue to use a demonstrably false term anyway.

Something is deeply broken within the Royal Mint systems and processes. A sorry does not cut it against such inconvenience, especially when your Head of Customer Service compounds the matter by failing to meet own standards (by wide margin). No value/recognition of custom of over 7 years.

For my adult son's collection

I ordered 4 coins for my adult son's collection, and they came very quickly. I was impressed by the efficiency, and the artwork and packaging of each coin, and I am sure he will be very pleased on his birthday!

Great Engravers Damaged Product

Ordered a silver proof coin from the Great Engravers collection and it arrived with visible edge damage and on further inspection, damage on a lot of the milled edging. Its now finding its way back to the RM. With respect, please do not reply with the "sorry this was not up to our usual high standards", because its a broken record and sending out damaged goods seems normal practice these days. Where is the Quality Control process? That is the question I would like answered and why is damage that is obviously visible to the naked eye not picked up? Anyone buying from TRM is 50/50 whether they will get what they expect or have some signs of damage or lack of care. Really very poor service from a company that cannot be trusted to deliver the high quality flawless products they claim.

Received a faulty coin

I ordered the Penny Drops competition coin.
It arrived quickly and is beautiful except that the edge of the coin is unfinished and rough.
It should have text embossed which is one of the clues to the puzzle.
Very disappointed, not really the quality expected from a Royal Mint.
I'm sure I could have returned it for exchange but I would have missed the deadline for entry.
Perhaps the faulty coin will be valuable in the future!

Orders made In January - Legal Dispute

Orders made In January and the beginning of February have not been delivered. 3 orders paid in full in excess of £93000.00. 2 orders I have been informed have not been dispatched due to multiple internal errors and failed promises of dispatch and service throughout Feb, March, April despite being informed 2 orders of £90000.00 of bullion silver were with them and ready to dispatch when orders were made at the start of Feb they failed to send due to errors. I contacted 2 times a week from Feb and March 9th they then sent a source of funds request over a month after payment due to error. Cleared the hold 10th March and items have not been delivered still. Formal notices were addressed to the CEO Anne Jessop and TRM on 20th March which were not acknowledged or responded to even though when I called a week later these were confirmed as received and on my account notes. The first contact from The Royal Mint was only received on the day my Subject Access Request was sent on 27th March. To apologise again but still no resolution and multiple errors accepted on there part and still no returned funds or item resolution. No update on my formal complaint 26th Feb and I’m advised this is now with their legal team who will contact me urgently (advised 2nd April and still no contact at time of this post 11th April)
Formal legal proceedings are clearly the only way to resolve matters with this organisation which I will document and publish a full account on social media to expose the conduct and illegal practices of TRM and lack of accountability from the CEO when concluded. (I have had the same product delivered to me on other orders made after these unfulfilled orders and until now a loyal regular customer)
