Rock steady concerts
Daz visits my school every Friday and is a really friendly chap who is great with the children. He brings great energy to the termly concerts. The children, staff and parents thoroughly enjoy these sessions. Thank you Daz!

What made our experience great ? Daz !
What made our experience great : in one word - Daz !
He gives our children the opportunity to participate in a unique experience that we could not sadly offer within the curriculum. Their self-confidence develops week on week and this is a pleasure to see. Daz is always positive, kind and dedicated to their development.

Pros and cons of rocksteady lessons…
My daughter has been playing bass guitar with Rocksteady with Daz for 3 years. My husband and I are both classically trained musicians so the way she learns is very different to our musical education. She hasnt made that much technical progress but she has learnt a lot about ensemble playing. She did comment that her part was very easy and so she asked Daz to give her more challenge for the recent concert which he did. She loves performing at school and had one of the biggest smiles in the school during most of the concert. I want to say a special thank you for this. Daz may not know that she has struggled a lot with anxiety this term and says she doesn't enjoy any of the lessons or want to be at school at all, so having Rocksteady helps her want to be part of her school community and she is less resistant to coming to school on Rocksteady day.

My daughter has just finished her first…
My daughter has just finished her first term. She enjoys it so much. I get regular online updates on the skills she is developing. I just went to the first concert and watched her play. She is very young; however, I’m very proud of the work she has done on the drums. I cannot tell you how enthusiastic Adam, her rocksteady coach, is. He kept them entertained and focused. I also loved how, after the band performed, they explained the skills they were using during that performance. I hope rocksteady tell Adam how incredible a teacher he is to the children. We are very lucky to have him there.

great preformence

Great opportunity for kids
I was immensely proud to see all the kids perform in front of a crowd at the school performance! What a brilliant opportunity—not only to learn how to play a musical instrument, but also to develop teamwork skills and experience what it feels like to perform in front of an audience. I truly think the whole experience is fantastic for kids.
I also have to mention how much I enjoyed the way the Band Leader conducted the concert and shared insights on each child’s progress since they started. I could tell they really enjoy it. I’m very impressed with Rocksteady!

My daughter absolutely loves rock…
My daughter absolutely loves rock steady, her band leader Matt is incredible she comes home after every lesson and tells me how funny he is and how much she likes him as he makes lessons so fun, she has only been doing this for a few months but the progress already is amazing and I Carnt wait to see her progress throughout the years we cannot thank Matt enough for his communication with us and how happy our daughter is after every lesson.

It’s ok and my son enjoys it
It’s ok and my son enjoys it. But I wish they’d maybe do one concert a year and actually teach the children to play the instrument. I feel the concerts sound terrible and not much skills are taught because it’s rushed. We’ve started looking for real drum lessons now

Rocksteady’s unique way of teaches children to play music together as a band by focusing on fundamentals such as timing and synchronisation, alongside introducing instrument technique and performance skills. This group-based approach not only encourages musical progress, but also supports teamwork, social skills and encourages new friendships.
Rocksteady children also all have the opportunity to achieve an exam-free music qualification, accredited by Trinity College, by working through a curriculum of up to 300 skills. The termly concerts can be a transformational experience for children, helping to boost their confidence as they get the opportunity to showcase these new skills to friends and family.

First concert and impressed !!
Just got back from our first RockSteady concert which was such great fun ! My son has only been going to practice for a few weeks but still put on an amazing performance with his band (although i maybe slightly bias!) Daz has worked wonders with my son and seeing him interact with the kids on the stage (and the audience !) i can see why - he's fantastic and a credit to Rocksteady !!

I have three children who have all done…
I have three children who have all done rocksteady through primary school. I think it’s an amazing programme for their confidence. They have had various band leaders who all seem so passionate about music and helping the children’s skills grow.
My elder two are now at senior school but I really feel rocksteady helped them feel comfortable on stage and perform in front of people which is such a great skill for their future! We have just watched my
Youngest concert today and seeing all the kids excitement, bravery and confidence was amazing!

Excellent extra curricular opportunity
Daz is a fantastic, patient and kind teacher. He understands the diverse needs of every child at our school and works alongside them all so they can achieve their best.
