Awful company - avoid
They ‘bought’ my car on Carwow last week. Failed to show up on collection day. Multiple calls to them, they never call back. Totally unreliable.

Please note that their response to my review is a complete lie.

Bought a BMW 6 series for my dad as a birthday present!
Roadstar had only had it in for part exchange a few days before but it had already been cleaned inside and out. We bought the car as it was a nice example.

The side bumper camera on the passenger side wasn't working at point of sale but Roadstar said they would fix it, we brought it back to them and unfortunately their mechanic couldnt fix the issue.

I then suggested, I would take it to a BMW specialist I always use they can quote me for the work and if Roadstar are happy with the quote the specialist can complete the work and Roadstar can settle the bill.

This is exactly what happened, the camera was fixed the mechanic asked for payment and Roadstar paid.

Honest and kept to their word I would definitely use this garage again, I hope one day I'll be back for some of there higher priced machinery

From the start of arranging to view the car and subsequent test drive and purchase and then delivery I cannot fault the company in any way at all with no pressure whatsoever, there are many dealers who could be well advised to follow the Roadstar exemplary business model

I sold my car through Motorway and Roadstar was the highest bidder. They came to collect the car the next day and it was all very easy. It took a while for them to check the car and details that go with buying the car but that is to be expected. All in, it was an easy experience and Obi followed up the day after to thank me for the business. Highly reccomend.

Sold my car via Motorway, dealer contacted me the next day to arrange collection. On the day, the car was inspected and money paid into my bank within a few minutes. Very happy with this service. Would recommend this method.

I wished I had read all of these reviews before spending £60k. They lie!!! Paul and Joseph have been called out below by others as cowboys, and I’m going to add Obi the boss to this list of names, complete bunch of charlatans, communication zero, managing expectations zero, slippery and never available to talk 100%. They delivered the urban defender with the missing urban lettering on the bonnet, the TPMS light on, wheel arches all unstuck and bagging. They were meant to deliver it at lunch time and turned up at 7pm. they had to take it back to be fixed and promised me to have it back on a fixed date 3 days later, as I was going on holiday. At 8pm the night before my holiday I had to drive 1.5hrs to pick it up, only to find the work hadn’t been fully completed. We arrange again for the work to be completed they had the car for one week Monday to Monday. They didn’t pass the car on to the body shop until the Sunday. I came back from a work trip to no car delivered as agreed, like I said they had the car for one week by this point. It’s turned up tonight, the TPMS system is still on and the back wheel arches are still not fixed. You honestly can’t make this up. And there is so much more. No one has apologised. I asked for OBi to call me serval times in last 3 weeks he’s not called once. Post purchase customer service is non existent! Stay away from them !

I would not recommend anyone use these people. Sold a car on motorway.co.uk, the dealer then calls me up with no prior warning saying he is at the train station ready to come pick it up when I was at work. They then came down and tried to haggle me down on an already very discounted car saying the brakes were worn when they were clearly not as they had not been replaced that long ago. The gentleman that came was rude and arrogant and just stormed out my house when I told him that I was not haggling with him. The experience was horrible, and if I treated my customers like that, I would not have any customers. They then message me to review them on Trustpilot, so this is exactly what I am doing.

Dear Roadstar Tyre and Exhaust Centre Ltd,

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the service and the exorbitant price I was charged for replacing two headlight bulbs.

I visited your workshop at 75 Church Road, Tiptree, Colchester, CO5 0HB to have my car's headlight bulbs changed. While the gentleman who assisted me was very polite and helpful, the price for the service was not discussed upfront. After the bulbs were replaced, I went to the office to make the payment. I was shocked to receive a bill of £60.24 for a job that took less than 15 minutes.

I had previously checked the cost of the bulbs on Euro Car Parts, where they were priced just under £5 each. Given this, I expected a reasonable charge for the replacement service. When I expressed my surprise at the high price to the gentleman, he simply stated that it was the standard price.

It is incredibly unfair to charge such a ridiculous amount for a service that involves changing two headlight bulbs costing less than £10 in total, especially when the job was completed in under 15 minutes. This experience has left me very disappointed, and I will not be returning to your workshop in the future.

I hope you will reconsider your pricing strategy to provide better value and transparency to your customers.

As for the one and only, foul mouthed Obi I'm speechless.
If you want to buy a car that gets delivered with defective brake's, bald tyre plus warning lights on the dash, Roadstar is the place to go!!
Obi will threaten to break your legs if you complain!!

4 long week's it took to get car in the condition it should of being delivered in.
I couldn't drive it for 14 day's as these cowboy's sold the car without a V5, so the car could not be taxed!!
It was only after I threatened Obi with legal action about the threatening text's he was stupid enough to send that they road taxed it!!
6 WEEKS before I could put on my private plate, obviously the previous owners had issues with these clowns when they sold the car so kept they V5 in their name to cause Obi the same amount of issues as he causes.
Now the clown say's my attitude was bad 😂😂😂

Whole process efficient and unable to fault.

Every car purchase seems to have problems no matter what imo. It’s how they deal with them, that is the difference and the team at Roadstar dealt with them all in a professional manner without argument. I now have the car I wanted exactly how I wanted it!

I bought a Defender 90 Urban. Car was great but a few weeks later I had a few issues I wasn’t happy with. I called Roadstar and to be fair they picked up the car, resolved the issues and returned the vehicle in around a week. Great service and thank you Roadstar. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I enquired about a Cayenne they have for sale. It was listed at £12890. They told me it was available. I called back the next day and the price had gone up to £13990. A day later it had gone up again, to £14990!!This is redicilous. Wheni called them to say i would buy it they said it was sold, just didnt want to sell it at £12980.And iam a cash buyer!!££££The car is still for sale. And it will be for a long time!!A company like this is not worth dealing with!! Keep your car!!

NEVER EVER BUY A CAR FROM HERE. bought a matte grey c63 thing was awful. So many issues and they had the guts to tell me they’d take a grand off for usage when I had to take the car hundreds of miles for repairs. Companies about to go to court from myself so let’s see how this
goes.

No MOT at collection - 2 tyres with cuts in - water ingress via roof and windscreen - water ingress in side repeaters - under trays broke - wheel arch liner broke - fuel filled cap stuck on with double sided tape

Top bidder on my car using CarWow, they despite being chased numerous times by them, they failed to contact me to arrange collection. Why bid on a car if you don’t want to buy it. I now have to start the process again.

Absolute cowboys.

Agree to buy your car then find ridiculous reasons to knock you down on price, total timewasters, rude and unprofessional.

I can see why they get such bad reviews……their reviews on Autotrader, obviously fake!

Oh and they reported this post and tried to have it removed. Truth hurts.

Edit in response to their response. My car had just had a report from an Audi main dealer showing rear brakes were not worn. Your collection expert deemed they were worn and wanted to knock £800 off the price, despite showing him the Audi report and also that even if they were worn then the pads are £80 but you kept telling me that was wrong, despite me showing you the information. As a compromise as I didn’t have time for the hassle, I offered to pay the price of the pads (which didn’t need replacing) of £80, you kept telling me it’d cost £800 despite me showing your driver. Your driver then sat and mumbled into his phone (presumably to you), then without saying a word got up and walked out of my house to get in a taxi, didn’t even have the courtesy to tell me the deal was off or say goodbye, incredibly unprofessional and rude, but you call me rude for stating facts, is that the best you can do? Yes cowboys. Avoid at all costs!! Car sold 2 days later to a proper professional dealer for more money, they were polite and professional.

No apology - just ‘ghosted’ me!
