S1E2 - UK’s NO.1 luxury car dealer of scrap.

Within my right to reject I asked for my full refund. Roadstar made this process very difficult, as they wanted to use the warranty company to repair the vehicle.
Due to multiple issues and uncertainty what else could be wrong. I mentioned at least 6-8 times the right to reject… and still was getting know where.
I asked to speak with a manager/senior, I explained the issues and once again was not accepting my right straight away without questioning. Due to conversation getting heated and misleading, I attempted to record the phonecall to protect my safety & wellbeing.
However, with much to hide, he hung up (Obi). I called back, The manager/senior then Threatened me, stating I need to check his initials & I don’t know who he is… (big shot).He then threatened to sue me, as he stated he has does this multiple time and claiming he can get £7k because I didn’t ask his permission to record the call and I broke laws.
In fact my friend no law was broken for protecting myself & I have reported this to the police who also confirm it was okay for my safeguarding…

However you stated, your phone call are record and used for training but you do not inform any of your callers this and my good sir, that is breaking to law! You can not share/use for calls for training without clear notification. (I used mine to protect myself…)

Roadstar had previously ignored calls and emails, I knew now this was going to be difficult to get my refund… I waiting until the 13th day of owning the car for them to sort it out. They had failed to response to my right to reject I had to submit a final letter before court.

Unprofessionally they responded at 9:30Pm on Sunday, offering a collection. Still no clear response when I could get my money back. So I made it very clear, I wanted refund on hand over of keys & same way as I paid…

Roadstar had also unprofessional transferred me through to another customer, which we was both at the same time trying to make contact with them. Id be mind for of your data they collect!!

Leaving customers in the same situation as me, without vehicles or broken in garages from last year and still not offering to fix them, ignoring emails and phonecalls too, what a shamble of leaders you have… Your own delivery guy, the one you sent to Scotland told me the other ford ranger gear box gave up on the drive!!! And still delivered it!!!

I hope if you are the owner in Scotland of the recently brought ford ranger, you get it checked or returned ASAP!

ROADSTAR AUTOMOBILE LTD is that shady, they call themselves ROADSELL on trust pilot. Check Gov.com on the business history and you can see quick turn around and changed of directors who all still work at Roadstar, showing some shady, dodgy activity in my option.

I will say the only professional ones who are of any help, are Harley and the other girl receptionist.

S1E1 - UK's NO.1 Luxury car dealer of scrap!

For the title proclaimed as the “UK’S NO.1 Luxury Car Dealer,” is only within a fairytale for Road-star Automobile LTD imagination.
Yes, they have fancy looking cars…. As Obi states the make up (body kit) makes them look good, but take that off and you see the truth. Careful, selected, inspected and serviced by Little Tikes technicians. (Actually this is even an insult to little tikes, probably built better than roadstar vehicles)

As a victim of this criminal activity company, being an ex owner of one of their ford rangers, Vehicles details: 21plate, license ending in RZS. Sold unroadworthy & with a fraudulent & illegal ghost M.O.T, As in this condition it would have been classed as (dangerous) in MOT Manuel - as the body modification restricted full turning. This should have failed MOT, but instead, it passed with no advisories. Also advices by citizens advice & under Section 75 of the Road Traffic Act 1988, it is a criminal offence to sell, supply, or expose for sale a motor vehicle in an unroadworthy condition. Oppsss…

Another issues the vehicle did not even last 1 week! I reported it feeling sluggish and erratic gear changes, then found out it needed a transmission needed replacement, oil leaks and more. (Stay tuned people)
Due to long distance sale 160miles, I paid for £250+ for the delivery, being a “prestige Luxury Dealer” I thought I would not have much issues, was I WRONG.

Upon delivery date, the driver turned into my road while the vehicle was making a loud plastic banging/grinding noise.
He handed me the keys and stated, he didn’t know what that noise was & to contact Roadstar to have it fixed. On my own investigation before accepting the ranger, I did my walk around with videos, showing any issues found.

The issue which was creating the noise was identified by myself & they had bodged the front right Body kit plastics up with sliver screws on a black wheel arch and the mud Bent up
(Nice make up, Obi…). I was annoyed & couldn’t understand why, didn’t your driver take this back once he know it had issues? Instead he had caused further damage bring it 160 miles down. As I brought the vehicle out right of £21K+… Roller shutter keys never worked either and in fact was completely the wrong style of keys to open it. (Can’t make this sh*t up)

Annoyed but therefore, I didn’t think it would be a massive issues and could fix it with roadsters help… Roadstar had agreed to over the phone to get the bumper/arch fixed & advised me to get an auto locksmith out to get a key for it. They failed to pay any charges for inspection. Even when they said they would cover the cost. (They would only confirm over phone and never email.)

I called multiple auto locksmiths and all said the same, you can not pick the locks and you require a new barrel, roadstar had agreed on my buying a new barrel and replacing it, I was told to email over the receipt, which I did and I never got paid, even after multiple emails sent with receipts asking for it to be refunded…

I took the vehicle to the body repair specialist , the guy looked at the front bumper for 1 minute told me the car has had a dry paint repair and the vehicle has also had front bumper damage! I was told/sold the vehicle was in great condition which no damages, which lead to more disappointment. Roadstar was informed and they completely ignored that comment on emails, couldn’t even justify or apologise. With it booked, to get this repaired. Roadstar made no agreement to cover the cost.

Within 4 days, and only short drives less than 40 miles. There was a horrible metallic grinding noise coming from the engine bay which was so loud. I informed roadstar and they advised they would cover the cost and get requested me to get it booked into a local garage. Once again they never covered the cost even when instructed by them. The garage advised transmission needed to be replaced and not to drive the vehicle as it is in a dangerous state.

We unfortunately bought 3 rangerovers from them in 2019 totalling over 160K and within the first year, the first cars engine blew followed by engine failure on all three cars within a couple of years. The cars are not reflective of the mileage shown and overall would advice caution when purchasing their vehicles . We will be pursuing legal action against them.

Do not touch this place

Do not touch this place - drove three hours to collect my new car as arranged and reservation fee all paid.
Get there and the car is not there it’s broken.

Joseph the sales man or anyone phoned to tell me this.
Once there all they were trying to do is get me to buy a more expensive vehicle.

Now trying to get refunded for my insirance that I had to cancel and expensive to go there.

Stay clear otherwise you will regret it.

Friendly and professional

Very Impressed with the collection of vehicles they have. I went to purchase a Porsche Cayenne but ended up going with a Defender as the styling looked really desirable. Paul and Obi were very jovial and I will highly recommend checking out their collection of Defenders.

This review has been a long time coming…

This review has been a long time coming but I wanted to cool down before I gave it.

I bought an r8 back in April 2025 and my word what a disaster it was. I bought it online as I was working away at the time and planned to pick it up when I arrived home. This turned out to be a life saver as buying a car online gives 14 day return and refund policy under uk law.

The car looked fantastic when I picked it up but on the drive home the check engine light came on. Then rear light not functioning light came on and the oil over full warning came on. The next day a transmission failure light came on with driveline failure warning light.

I phoned roadstar and they advised to take it to my local audi dealer for repair. Before I could make it to the dealership the clutch started slipping on the dct box and the car was barely drivable but I made the 3 mile drive the garage.

After inspection audi techs revealed my totally stock r8 had an engine remap, a transmission remap and the engine light was on because the catalytic converters had been smashed out with a hammer and chisel. The rear light had cracked because of the heat put out by the aftermarket exhaust that had the heatshielding removed and 2 shocks were leaking. This was 3 days after it had just passed an mot 🤣 so it was clearly done by " a mate "

Audi gave a 7k pounds bill to fix the current issues as it involved an engine removal to put the car back to stock before they tackle the transmission issue which was likely going to cost another 7 to 10k 🙈

Audi advised me to send the car back and get my money back as I was well with in the 14 day period which is where the real issues started. I handed the car to audi and applied through my finance company to get my money back.

Roadstar just didn't want to give the money back. My finance company fought for weeks to get their money back and only through them leaning on roadstar did I get my deposit back and even then they stubbornly waited till the 15th day to send me it back which is so childish. I had just told my solicitor to serve papers to them when the money arrived in my account. All the while the manager of the company was gaslighting me saying she was speaking to finance department and they were a different entity so it was complicated....when infact when I checked company house records she was the actual CEO of the company and was forced to admit it when I confronted her with evidence of the fact 🤣 in fact if you check company house records you will see that the company has changed names multiple times and CEOs and all the previous CEOs still work at roadstar in different departments. They just go bankrupt or close down and appoint another CEO from another part of the family or a friend.

Absolute sham of a company and quite frankly should be under criminal investigation.

If you read the other reviews you will see what I mean. On that note if you look down to Roberts review from earlier in the year..arpund february i believe...he actually bought the same r8 I did but before me and every single issue he had was still present on it when i bought it....they didn't even bother to try to rectify any of the issues on it. They just gave it a wash, deleted the codes and sold it on to me.

A cautionary tale. My finance company has since decided they will start advising customers not to buy from them and do your due diligence before and not after. I didnt but I was lucky. If you pay cash and not through a finance company you are screwed. Stay away....well away

Stevie Wonder wrapped my Porsche Taycan

My partner bought a disaster from roadstar. the carbon & wrap is an absolute show. Clearly Stevie Wonder put the carbon body kit on.. messy glue job & terrible wrap job.
The wrap is bubbling & flaking away.
The company claim it has not been wrapped or painted but Porsche themselves say otherwise & so does the paint bubbles inside the door frame, so now they won’t touch the paint. Customer service is like speaking to a brick wall.
These people leaving reviews straight from purchasing their cars, leaving 5 stars.. leave it a week and you’ll start seeing issues.
Don’t waste your time or money on this company.

If I could score a 0 I would. Absolutely disgusting service. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They delivered a car which wasn’t the one I had confirmed, this car was in awful condition the wrap was bubbling, the paintwork was all peeling it was a bodged job. The driver turned up with no paperwork ( we were 2.5-3 hours away from dealership) the complaint went on and on and the customer service advisor Emeka even accused me of lying. The whole experience was awful and I wouldn’t want anyone else going through what I did! I had to get the whole car re wrapped luckily due to my persistence I got £2k back but I still had to fork out another £1400 on top for the car to be corrected!

Very Poor Customer Service

It all got remedied in the end but it took 2 visits over 2 months and a lot of chasing calls and emails to achieve that. I wouldn't recommend them.

I brought a ford ranger from these. I had it delivered as i lived 250 miles away, after getting it i noticed that it had been delivered with the coolant below the min mark. I kept an eye on it but kept losing coolant as well the oil was on 15% and the fuel filter was clogged which brought up a spanner light. short story is i am now faced with a 5k engine rebuild due to head gasket fail which my tech said it was sold like that... so avoid this Arthur Daley Dealership...

The only requirement for a refundable deposit applies when a customer requests an extended or unsupervised test drive, such as the two-hour test drive your friend requested.
In addition, your friend advised our staff that he did not have his driving licence with him, which meant we were unable to verify his eligibility to drive. For insurance and legal reasons, we cannot allow anyone to test-drive a high-performance vehicle such as a BMW M2 without first confirming their identity and valid licence. This is standard practice across the industry to ensure the safety of both our customers and our vehicles.
We’re always happy to arrange a standard test drive once the necessary verification and insurance requirements are met, and we would welcome you or your friend to contact us to organise this. Our goal is to offer a professional, transparent, and safe experience for every customer.

Roadstar is terrible

I contacted this company as the cars looked great

But Joseph is a total waste of space continually lies and told me the car was there for three days. He made arrangements for me to collect the car the the day I was meant to collect the car he told me it was sold but I was then told by Paul that another car was in prep and it was mine it would be ready in a week. He gave me the reg so I could arrange my insurance but 2weeks later after several phone calls I was told that the car was sold yet again.
I spoke to Joseph who apologised and said he would deal with it and that he had another car coming in and that it would be the same spec.he said he would take photos of the car and a video as soon as it was out of prep.
This never happened he again sent me over the reg and called me 2 days later to say the car was in prep and he would be in tough in 2or 3 days.
Again nothing

He since stopped answering my calls text or emails

I then spoke to Paul again and he apologised and said it was not the way I should be treated.
He said he would contact me the next day once he had spoke to the buying department
To see what they had coming in.
But this never happened

It turns out that the cars they are selling they did not even own at the time and one of many excuses was that the people selling them the cars keep messing them about. But then they say they have sold them.
Total lies

I asked for the manager to call me on several occasions this never happened

Joseph needs retraining in customer service and how to use a phone

But that pretty much goes for them all

I looked at another car the German car specialist in Hainaut Essex
Who could not have treated me any better and the car was their and looked exactly as described and it took 24hour to look at the car and be driving away

This is how you should treat people and roadstar could learn a lot from them

Please be careful with any dealings with roadstar
Look else where first

I’m sorry to hear about your experience, but it seems there has been some miscommunication somewhere along the way. All of our cars are owned outright by us, and we never advertise or sell vehicles that we don’t have full ownership or authority over.
We also operate an online reservation system which allows customers to reserve a vehicle securely. Once a reservation is made, we are legally and ethically obligated to hold and sell that vehicle to the customer, provided their purchase is completed within five days. This policy ensures fairness to all buyers and prevents multiple people from trying to purchase the same car at once.
Our records indicate that the cars you enquired about were in preparation, and our team communicated updates in good faith based on the information available at the time. We apologise if any delays or crossed messages caused confusion or frustration.

Be very cautious and prepare to be ignored!!!

Bought a Ford Ranger in April and within 48 hours the engine light came on- to give Roadstar their due they advised me to get a garage of my choice to diagnose and they would settle the invoice with the garage directly. Had to chase multiple times for them to pay however so we didn’t have use of the vehicle for nearly the first 3 weeks of ownership. Then another sensor went less than a week later, on further inspection by the garage this was likely caused by an undeclared engine remap (had we known the truck was remapped we would not have bought it). At this point we’ve had the vehicle for 4 weeks, driven less than 200 miles and had two engine sensors fail. Roadstar again advised they would pay the garage invoice directly but having reported two further serious problems to them via voicemail, they now will not return my calls. Luckily we know the repairing garage well and they have repaired and returned the truck to me on trust of eventual payment.
Serious issue 1; while driving down a main road, the light bar on the roof detached and flew off, ripping the wiring out and narrowly avoiding going through the side window. It was stuck on with double sided tape and what looks like superglue…
Serious issue 2: On checking the wheel nuts after a further 100 miles ( at this point we’ve had the truck for over a month and have done less than 300 miles, we discovered that the two rear wheels had at least 3 nuts each that were dangerously loose, pointing to them not having been tightened properly in the first place.

There is now a further issue in that the stick on bonnet scoop is no longer stuck. Again stuck with thin double sided tape.

Another annoying issue is the sheer volume of silicone they drench the vehicles in which doesn’t lend itself to a thorough inspection. After a wash we could see multiple scratches and chips that were invisible on viewing. The silicone has also left a weird spotty haze all over the paintwork and glass which no amount of polish will remove.

So in a nutshell, Roadstar seem ok until things go wrong, then they don’t want to know. We’re now in discussions with a solicitor about the possibility of legally rejecting the vehicle on the basis of the undeclared engine remap and dangerously installed light bar.

Mercedes E53

First viewed car on auto trader, contacted them spoke to Paul who was very helpful sent me a video walk round of the Mercedes e53, Paul very helpful I bought the car and it was delivered 2 days later, perfect condition as Paul had stated, I was kept up to date from the point of placing the deposit to the point of delivery.
I would highly recommend, Paul was a great person to deal with, he was even phoning me on his day off with updates, a credit to this company.
Again may thanks a very satisfied customer.

I recently purchased a Defender and couldn't be happier with the service I received. Emeka was outstanding throughout the entire process, especially after the sale. He went above and beyond to ensure I received all the recovery documents without any stress on my end. His communication was clear, professional, and prompt. It’s rare to find someone who genuinely cares even after the deal is done. Highly recommend working with Emeka

So bought a x5 in December and had…

So bought a x5 in December and had nothing but trouble from the get go

First started with the sos sat nav and heads up display not working

Then transfer box needed to be replaced

Headlight was full of water

All within the first 48 hours of owning the car

Rear drivers door dented only noticed when all the silicone had washed off
Pictures they post are not of the actual vehicles but for a like for like

Now warranty helped out with some of those issues temp repair on headlights

Paid for sos but now refuse to pay for transfer box I had repaired after they skilled me to go to a independent garage to keep the costs down

So I’m now £1400 out of pocket

£480 on two tyres after the judder from the box chewd them up

Car is not of satisfactory quantity and should never have been sold to me in its condition

I will be taking them to county court for the money I am owed

As all these issues were raised well within the 30 days
