We recently had a long weekend at Longleat. Mixed feelings about our experience. We were a large party; we dined at the restaurant; the ambient volume prevented easy conversation with each other. My Daughter asked for a bottle of Merlot, then Malbec, then Shiraz, all of which they’d run out of, so she had to settle for whatever they could muster, which was more expensive. When the shift Manager passed by, he asked if everything was OK. When my Daughter stated she’d tried to order three different bottles of wine all of which were out of stock, the Manager became defensive, pointed to our glasses and commented, “Thats red wine isn’t it?”, then left. Then, my wife had paid a £70 deposit for the meal. By pure coincidence, two of our party opted to pay for their own meals, which came to £70. The restaurant only deducted one lot of £70, forgetting to deduct the £70 deposit. They rectified this error the next day, but only after some lengthy discussions. On the plus side, I was walking back from the car park to our chalet which was in Firs area (a long way from the main area) and Lesley, a member of the site security team, stopped her vehicle and vey kindly gave me a lift back (thank you Lesley 😘). Hmmm……it’s not as if it’s cheap to stay here.

This time at Woburn Center parcs will be our last. Second year running with problems too many to list . Staff just not willing to help in times of need. Dirty rooms, equipment broken, places cordoned off and people vaping in public areas.

I went last year and stayed lakeside which was wonderful. Booked again for this year and was told how to book another lakeside lodge, which I did 11 months in advance. Only to now be allocated a lodge elsewhere as more lodges were refurbished and now fall into the same catagory as lake side. Wasn't informed of ths so basically misold the holiday. Furious customer and won't book again after this trip. Staff unable to move our lodge number!

We recently went to Sherwood to celebrate mums 90th Birthday - what a disaster. The lodge we were in can only be described as in the middle of a building site. Constant contractor traffic, bangs of skips and lorrys meant that this was far from a relaxed, peaceful holiday that Centreparcs advertise. Mum only left the lodge once due to her scared Dog that would not go out past the noises. The Centreparcs go to answer was that its in your terms and conditions. Brilliant.

We went to Centre Parcs Longleat for a Monday to Friday stay. What a horrible experience, aside from the fact it was solid rain the whole time, which can't be helped, the check in was slow and confusing, the signposting is dreadful, the train service is okay, when you can actually get a seat, the place is very overpriced, the pool is good but far to small, nothing is explained properly and the one time we did eat it was at Hucks grill, which again was okay food for a lot of money. I couldn't leave fast enough, which was hard in itself. Would I ever go to a Centre Parcs again.....ABSOLUTELY NOT !!!!!

We stayed at Elveden for 5 days. We advised beforehand that we were travelling with a disabled guest. We were allocated a lodge as far from the main car park and amenities as it could possibly get. When I queried this, I was advised that the park provide a transport service. So we had to walk 30 minutes to get to our vehicle and 15 minutes minimum to the amenities. Not possible for someone with chronic illness. The transport service was only for going between the lodge and the car park - and was always heavily booked up and unavailable when needed. The result was we could not do any activities on site and the holiday left our disabled guest exhausted and miserable.
The issue was raised with Center Parcs and we were basically told that we should have paid to choose our lodge. So disabled guests have to pay more to visit if they want to have any chance of leaving the walls of the lodge when they are able/want to.
Would never visit any of their parks again.
Elveden is very close to a very busy air field. You will be woken by fighter jets flying over every morning.

first of all I've been going to Sherwood forest center parcs for 7+ years. over the years there has been a decline in the standards. The cost to go to center parcs is high and for this you expect certain standards. It has now become very clear that they are only interested in one thing and that is profit. first the lodge, we got a 4 room lodge, it was dirty, the bathroom had black mould and there was clearly still urine on and around the toilet. Damage to the lodge was evident from the first cupboard I opened which was broken. 4 windows were broken so could not be left open on the safety latch. these lodges need to renovated or knocked down. second the cost of food and drink! a pint of madri is £7.50 this is London prices and a clear cash grab. you can go into the centre of Leeds and not pay more than £6. The food in the sports bar is over priced and poor it was £17 for a chicken burger and chips and was no bigger than the children's portion. We ate out at Hucks, this place used to be fantastic and a great meal out, now however the food is over priced and not very good. Everything also comes with a service charge as standard this is shocking especially considering the prices. It was evident that other guests felt this was as both the sports bar and Hucks were quiet. The country club was closed for renovation why? the reason to increase prices and another way to make money. The parks throughout were in a poor condition again this is because they do not charge to use them. As you can see there is a theme and the theme is if we can charge we will and if its free it will be left in a poor condition. This place is advertised as a activity get away but they do not put any effort into the free activities. The best Park is next to the sports bar, convenient another way to get more money. Recommendations are update your lodges and parcs. reduce your prices to a reasonable level. This is not a place I would recommend and we will not be going again until significant improvements are made. But again once the improvements are made I'm sure they will charge more again!!!

We visited Whinfell for 5 days in August. Prior to our trip, I made two enquiries about adjustments for our 12 year old with ADHD and another about being able to collect a child from the site (unfortunately his parent was in a hospice with cancer)
Both queries received responses which were rude and unhelpful. Centre Parcs showed zero empathy and understanding.
As a result of their failure to provide any support or adjustments, we ended up having to cancel activities and miss opportunities available to the boys.
The guest services team have not only failed to respond fully, the responses have been unprofessional and getting hold of a complaints process is like getting blood from a stone. It’s like they don’t want to receive feedback once they receive your money!
Some education required about standards of service and accessibility.

Center Parcs say they are about the customer . My wife fell over a poorly cleaned floor , she was 1 of 4 people , and another guest witnessed it all and asked the cleaners to cordon area off and clean up the split drink over nearly an hour . What makes it worse is the head office customer services show their true colours and play the whole matter down, they lied about the facts and wouldn't call the other independent guest , even though our holiday was spoilt and cut short . Thankfully there is no lasting injuries, but Center Parcs true passion for their customers shines through , there is no compassion , just them looking at bottom line and not caring about guests . `If you have other holiday options avoid Centre Parcs as you just might need customer support which you wont get as morals and values are not there

We have been visiting CP elvedon forest for years now the villas were goid clean and the executive and higher end villas had toiletries and for the price you would expect it. This visit nothing. Only one toilet roll. Hucks diner was dreadful the food inedible but well over priced. Thought to try a Chinese takeaway. Well I wouldn't give it to my dog that was inedible too pancake house has fewer choices Las iguanas. Was slightly better but nothing special. My advice take your own food. On the upside the children loved the play area outside.

Het was prima te doen. De huisjes zijn refurbished (maar dat mocht ook wel). De prijzen zijn wel een stuk hoger ten opzichte van vroeger. Nu is alles uiteraard duurder maar voor het betaalde had ik ook een luxeweek in Griekenland kunnen vertoeven, maar misschien is dat teveel appels en peren vergelijken. Al met al waren de kinderen heel
Blij weer met het grote zwembad en de activiteiten dus tevreden.

It saddens me to write this review, however I feel disappointed with my recent visit to Sherwood Forrest. I have visited Center Parcs Sherwood 2 times per year since the year it opened. I was a baby myself when visiting with my family, and I have carried on this holiday tradition with my own family. Over the years it has changed ownership again and again and unfortunately the Sherwood branch has lost its original identity. Sherwood used to celebrate the local history of Robin Hood, and the resort had a lot of Robin Hood themed decoration and activities, such as the amazing Medieval Banquet - which was always the highlight of our holiday. We always enjoyed the show whilst eating fabulous food and engaging with the actors. It was top quality entertainment. Now all traces of Robin Hood have been removed. The Sherwod resort has lost its individuality.
The pancake House was also a favourite of ours in the past. We were shocked to discover the menu has changed and now offers American pancake stacks, which were badly cooked, very dry and only savoury options available. The Pancake house was always known for its luxury option of dessert pancakes, but this is no longer an option. We overheard lots of complaints about the menu change and all criticism we head was valid. Due to the change of style of food offered it now takes staff longer to get the food served to customers - leading to long waiting times. the stack of pancakes turned into mush when any syrup/sauce was added.
There is also very little on offer for under 5s. The Playgrounds are not suitable for under 5s. All play equipment has been removed from the beach. The Playground equipment that was available was very good quality for 8 year olds and above, there was nothing for my toddler to do whilst my older child played.
I have been to Center Parcs well over 60 times so I was a dedicated customer, however this will now change.
The restaurant prices are now to high for a family holiday too. I feel it is now cheaper to holiday abroad than it is to stay at Center parcs which never was the case in the past.
Please bring back the local history to this resort, and bring back Gismond!

This will be our 8th visit to CP Whinfell (Lake District) and as usual the experience has been a great one. Stayed in No4 Lake Beck (3rd time) as centrally located. Lodge is well equipped and spotless as usual. We booked restaurants in advance (as usually booked up well in advance) but found availability when we changed our plans. Pool and changing facilities always clean and warm. We rented an electrically powered boat session and we enjoyed that. The boathouse staff were very thorough with the safety briefing and life vest fitment, but it still felt relay and friendly. Did pottery painting twice as we enjoyed doing it the first time. This place is not cheap for food and drink but if you expect cheap, then this isn’t the place for you, but you do get great quality and service. Would highly recommend. Paul

Absolutely disgusting attitude and behaviour. No empathy shown.

Despite paying for the Flex Your Stay insurance Centerparcs still wanted to charge £699 for changing my booking by a week, despite having loads of availability.

Full story - my wife has been waiting for a hospital appointment to see a consultant for the past 10 months. Typically, the appointment date came through for when we would be away. Called Centerparcs, because it was after the 27 days limit according to their T&C's I have to pay £699. As it happens the week after was slightly cheaper so I'd have to wait for that refund to come through, we are talking about £27 in relation to that.

Point is, these people had no empathy or are capable about making a human decision about doing what's right or actually helping people due to genuine circumstances. All the person could say was "it's all in our T&C's and if I wanted to complain I'd have to write in".

To top the issue, they cancelled a water sports activity that we booked and paid for as they had not maintained the condition of their lake and were concerned about the water quality!!!!!!!! - guess what, it's up to me to claim the refund, they don't process it automatically!

Dreadful behaviour, attitude - obviously its just all about income.

I would not recommend Centerparcs as a holiday/break.

Our logde was dirty, and there was even blood on bed sheets, we asked for them to be changed and they still didn't change the protector that had blood on it. Very overpriced. Disabled facilities were basic, meaning there was just more space in changing cubicals at the pool. No grab bars or supports in them. Pool wheelchairs were no very safe, easy to fall out off as wheels were not stable enough to turn or pull. Is was very disappointing for what we paid

Have been coming for years ,and have always loved center parcs,but doubt will be returning.So shocked to discover having booked a full week for a vast amount of money,that they have withdrawn housekeeping in the executive lodges.So no clean sheets or towels,no toilet roll,nothing for summer price rates.Villa looking tired think my daughter was a baby when decor was last changed , she's now 18.

We visited Sherwood Forest for the first time this week. On arrival the lodge was very dirty, hair all over the carpet, stained sheets, spiders all over the ceilings and the smell of damp was very strong. We complained to the guest services who sent out cleaners who changed the sheets and re moped, however the lodge was very rundown and this didn’t make a difference.
The pool was very fun for our toddler but again didn’t appear clean. Unfortunately, I fell I’ll with diarrhoea on the second day which put a dampener on the whole holiday.
We had a good time overall but the cleanliness of the accomodation and public areas ruined our experience resulting in our family leaving a day early.

This is such a shame as we have visited the Whinfell park twice over the last time and it was brilliant. Would not return to Sherwood Forest.

The activities are astonishingly expensive to the extent that we’ve not actually booked any at all. Some are £50 plus per person! The nightlife used to be good. There was even a little disco once upon a time. Now it’s like a morgue on the turn of 11 as everything shuts down. Went to the “leisure alley” at 10.15 and they clearly couldn’t be bothered and couldn’t wait to close. I asked for a pool table and was told there weren’t any. I pointed out one was free and they reluctantly let us use it. Seriously? Then tried to get a drink at 10.53 to be told the bar was shut (despite the staff just hanging around talking). I asked what time the bar normally closes and was told “it depends”. So apparently when they feel like it …. What sort of way is that to run a leisure business and treat people paying thousands for their holiday. They’ll be bust in 5 years at this rate which is a real shame given how good it used to be. I won’t be back that’s for sure.

4pm is very late to be able to get into a villa, that’s over half of a day gone! You don’t need to explain the reasons- I’m sure CP has been told before it’s a very cheeky way of getting people to pay more for something they have already paid for, up to another £100. I booked 4 days, no 2.5 days (out at 10am! Ridiculous). It’s a shame CP can’t allow people the FULL holiday. Also, when asked about this, customer service feel it’s appropriate to respond with “I’m sorry you feel this way” as if it’s my fault you charge extra to go into a place which has already been paid for. Take some accountability and organise your services so that people get their full holiday. Do not explain that guests can arrive on site and remain on site on arrival and departure days. You know the timings are egregious and you should be giving people more time for the things they’ve paid for i.e., the lodges.

Such a shame to see this go so down hill over the last few visits …this trip: Tree top adventure fully booked all week for corporate use - seriously! Water sports closed for x2 days due to essential maintenance in June (surely this could be done in winter) pub £50 for a round of 4 drinks ….£40 to go bowling. Very over priced now. Been coming 30 years but this will be last visit this year. It’s out priced itself!
