After complaining about fly tipping several times, and several shifty things going on in the council flats close to where I live, the council have failed to even investigate what is going on! As a long term resident this is utterly appalling, typical Redbridge council. They are good at fobbing people off, and very good at lying to residents instead of sticking to their promises. Well done Redbridge council, you are going downhill more and more. And everyone knows it! You allow rude and inconsiderate people to live in what used to be a decent area in Clayhall and now it’s a dump, and embarrassing - I feel ashamed of where I live, and I have a right to feel safe and I definitely don’t feel that and haven’t done for over 3 years! Redbridge have not compensated us for what we have lost, as they don’t care at all. They are honestly selfish people who always have the power to do whatever they want! Never mind about us as residents who suffer long term due to their stupidity. I have nothing to say about the council, as I’ve had to fight myself and handle things myself when it comes to problematic tenants whether they are meant to be living in the 1/2 bed flats or not. It’s disgusting honestly, not even feel safe within what should our family home. I’m sick of Redbridge council, they should even exist anymore since they allow buildings and don’t think about what people have to deal with every day! It’s immoral and completely careless! There’s no point having a council if they can’t even be together to reply back or actual help to resolve matters! They clearly have the money to spend on unnecessary things!!!

I am wondering, if the Redbridge tenants have any rights at all, I don’t understand how 11.45 someone is still drilling and banging, the nails are flying on the floor and hammers dropping . This is Blenheim court Navestock crescent, people have been left to do what they want, I am seriously getting sick of Redbridge council. We don’t have anyone to enforce anything like what’s going on. We need Marie back please. The drilling has been going for over two years January to December, 7 days a week, someone please save us. A part from this during the day an autistic child dnd his siblings are making my life a living hell, the council is saying they can’t do asbo on the kids, my life has changed so much for being discriminated against. Is like this people have hijacked my existence.

After almost 20 years of dealing with this organisation in various departments none of them that we have dealt with does their job but they keep putting taxes up and not doing what they are paid to do in the two-tier system they have going!

Worst council in London

This council is an absolute disgrace. PCNs are issued aggressively, especially through CCTV, as if raising fines is their main source of income. Streets are full of high-rise buildings, yet there is no matching investment in schools, hospitals, GP services, or parks. Infrastructure is completely overstretched, and residents are paying the price.

Basic services are poor. Complaints and appeals take forever, responses feel automated, and accountability is non-existent. Parking enforcement is ruthless, but when residents need help, the council suddenly becomes slow and unresponsive.

There is no transparency about where the money is actually going. You see constant development, but no improvement in quality of life. Roads, public spaces, and local services are neglected, while residents are treated like revenue streams rather than people.

Living under this council feels frustrating and unfair. If this is how local government is supposed to work, then it’s completely failing the community.

Don't collect your waste properly, recycle boxes get broken, lids go missing and half the waste is left in the street. They ignore your garden recycling for months then say they have finished collections for the year.

I was nearly hit by a delivery cyclist. I reported the incident to both the council and the police, but neither has taken any action. The authorities seem to be ignoring the issue, and it’s becoming unsafe to walk in my area. Many delivery cyclists ride dangerously, some appear unlicensed or untrained, and some even cycle in flip-flops, showing a lack of safety awareness.

It feels like a waste of our council tax because the borough is not safe. The authorities are failing to address the dangers caused by reckless delivery cyclists, making it unsafe for residents to walk around their own neighbourhood.

Redbridge council is incompetent at best and outright dishonest at worst.

Redbridge social services are not fit for purpose. They are trying to illegally charge me for care service . When I made a complaint It was stopped so my complaint for attempting fraud did not go through there dodgy complaint process.

Redbridge Council’s parking department is a rotten, unprofessional operation with no sense of serving residents.

They issued a PCN for the wrong amount, and when I provided clear photographic proof, including their own images, they ignored all evidence, hiding behind a false claim that no representation was ever made.

Their permit system is shockingly outdated. You can’t even apply or pay online.
Instead, residents must post their full credit-card details, including the CVV, a practice that blatantly breaches PCI-DSS payment-security standards and UK data-protection rules.
I don’t know any other organisation still operating like this in 2025.

Communication is slow, dismissive and evasive.
This is a revenue-driven operation, not a service for its constituents.

I received a parking ticket for parking in a bay for longer than paid for (7 minutes) I advised that I am allowed 10 minutes grace and supplied a VAT receipt from RingGo showing the times of the session duration and proving I was parked LEGALLY. Instead of asking RingGo for a copy of the VAT receipt I supplied they stated in a rejection letter "WE ARE LED TO BELIEVE THE DOCUMENT YOU HAVE PROVIDED HAS BEEN FALSIFIED" Any solicitors wish to represent me for defamation of character. I have all original documents to hand.

FOLLOW UP: I made an official complaint to the Council stating that they should obtain a true copy of the VAT receipt from their contractor RingGo, that they allege was falsified, and compare it to the copy I submitted. NO, THEY DID NOT DO THAT BUT REJECTED MY COMPLAINT ALSO INSISTING I HAD FALSIFIED THE VAT RECEIPT FROM RINGGO. I have now asked RingGo to send them a copy of the VAT receipt to prove my innocence! All this has cost me considerable time when the time I purchased to park was valid in the first instance!

Progressed to thehead of the council who eventually obtained a copy of the VAT reciept that stated I had falsified and guess what AN APOLOGY and parking ticket cancelled, but no compensation for the dozen hours I spent proving my innocence!

Disgusting thieving council.

I received a fine and I have twice appealed but on both occasions my appeals were ignored and letters sent to me as if I had ignored them. Not surprised it is a Labour run council. I think all parties are clueless now. They are all on the take it seems. Disgusting. Just imagine how much money they are making from £60 to £240 by simply ignoring people?? Clever council!!

No PCN's issued so not recieved on two occasions at same location, 16 days between, said issued PCN's. Then 2x enforcement notices issued and recieved, asking for £130 each. Which arrived months after contreventions. Because non receipt of pcns happened twice in such a brief time apart. I knew that they had not been issued by Redbridge council. Which they denied, and on receipt of their evidence they submitted to tribunal services, it was clear they did not send 2xpcns. The tribunal found in my favour and requested council pay all my fees that I had incurred as a result of their error. When fees were submitted to council, they flatly refused to pay my fees. Which were solicitors costs and registered posts. Wonder how many other motorists have encountered the same doubling of revenue tactics used by Redbridge council during march/April 2024

Redbridge Council appears to have completely lost the plot when it comes to serving its residents. While serious issues affecting the borough — such as crime, antisocial behaviour, waste management, and deteriorating public services — are left unresolved or met with silence, the council is astonishingly swift and efficient when it comes to one thing: issuing parking fines to homeowners, I actually got one today at the same time my ringo payment took place!!!!

It’s genuinely infuriating to see how little attention is paid to matters that directly impact the safety, wellbeing, and quality of life for people living here. Try getting a response about fly-tipping, break-ins, or road safety concerns and you’re met with delay, deflection, or deafening silence. But leave your car slightly over a faded bay line for a few minutes, and Redbridge enforcement officers are on it with military precision.

The disparity in attention is staggering and paints a picture of a council more focused on revenue generation through fines than genuinely serving the community. Residents deserve better — a council that listens, acts, and prioritises the real issues that matter.

Until then, Redbridge Council will remain a glaring example of misplaced priorities and bureaucratic zealotry.

The worst, dirtiest and the most expensive borough of London run by people with "don't care attitudes" towards the residents.
The borough has two tier system by dividing the borough into North and South, where the infrastructures are worst than a third world country.
The councillors are also not willing to take notice of the almost all roads and pathway are either broken or riddle with pot holes.
There was an incident where a car ram into the side wall almost 6 months ago on a busy road opposite the library building damaging the barrier and demolishing the wall which protects the pedestrians. To date nothing is been repaired. A serious incident will happen again and this time no wall to protect the pedestrians. The street especially philpot path is littered with junk, dead rats and smell of drugs consumed by various people's in and around Philpot Path.
All the Council is interested is to increase the council tax and providing no service in return.
I hope someone can seriously look into the above matters raised and take prompt action ASAP.

Redbridge Council is without a doubt the most infuriating and corrupt council in London. They dish out Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs) like it’s their sole purpose in life, especially along Ilford Lane, where it’s clear they’ve got their traffic wardens acting like bloodhounds, constantly lying to the public.

When they issue a PCN, they give you a ticket number for an appeal – but don’t be fooled! After weeks of waiting, you’ll get a letter demanding the full payment as if nothing ever happened. They flat-out reject your first appeal without any proper notification. This is nothing but a blatant scam, a downright con, meant to squeeze every last penny out of the public.

They are scammer the sign for parking is not clear where to pay for parking I paid for parking following the sign which says pay by phone I paid for it through pay by phone app next minute had parking ticket saying you paid the pay by phone parking app it’s not pay by phone it’s ringo app and you have to pay your charge why don’t they clearly saying pay for parking through ringoo app not this shit.

My 75 year old father in law attended a medical appointment and parked in the Derby road car park Woodford and paid for 2 hours and left after 1 hour. He received a parking ticket and when we appealed we worked out that he put a B for the final letter on his registration instead of a V which is side by side on the keyboard and because we appealed they increased the fine to £80. I let them know that the car parking code of conduct states that minor keying errors should not be charged and as they suffered no loss of income as he paid for a ticket they should not pursue the PCN. I asked for assistance from the local councillors and MP but no one could help. A friend of mine entered the wrong registration in an Epping Forest car park and explained that he entered his registration for his car instead of his wife’s and proved proof of payment and they overturned it. Why have have an appeal process and employ people to send out letters when you do not overturn a minor keying errors should.

Corrupt traffic parking department.Taking bribes from businesses who park their cars illegally and dangerously at all times. No tickets issued, backhanders and bribes, admitted to me by one of the business owners.
Need independently investigating and the removal of top management....
Trouble is no-one will do it as they all have their snouts in the trough ....prove me wrong!!
