This is an awesome company we've been…
This is an awesome company we've been customers for several years and never had any problems. If I need to call them my call is answered quickly and the employees are always courteous and friendly and helpful. I have recommended this company to everyone. Also have had a couple of people switch over to Puretalk, and they are very happy with the service also. Never any surprise charges on my bill and it comes out on the date I chose. Just want to say Thank You so much PureTalk, keep up the great job. And God Bless our men,women and k9s who are serving, have served or will serve to protect our country.
UNLIMITED data means drip, drip, drip
Was having difficulty with connectivity using another service provider at a remote location, so switched to PureTalk. My son got great service using PureTalk at the same remote location, so I switched to PureTalk as well. I opted for the exact same service package as I'd had with my previous carrier (unlimited talk, text, and data) for a better price from PureTalk.
The customer service reps were all outstanding; very polite and extremely helpful.
About two weeks into PureTalk, I noticed that my data had been throttled to a nearly unusable speed. I stopped watching podcasts & switched to listening to them. That bought me another couple of days before PureTalk SHUT OFF my data all together! When I wrote to complain, they did give me an additional 2Gb of high-speed data, and they said they'd corrected my low-speed data.
Here we are only TWO DAYS LATER, and I'm back to buffering interruptions in audio podcasts!
I haven't even gotten through my first month of service with PureTalk. It told them that I intend to file complaints with the BBB, the FCC, and ClassAction.org. I also informed them that I consistently used over 200Gb of data with my previous carrier and never noticed a slowdown while watching podcasts all month long. I plan to go back to the previous carrier and just carry a mobile hotspot with me.
I had to get a second line set up with…
I had to get a second line set up with a new ESIM. I called & talked to Jessica. She heard my problem & sent me to Tech Support. She was very nice & helpful. The tech I talked to was Chris. He was great!! He figured out what I needed to do. We hung up & I was able to connect to the second ESIM. Every time I call, & tonight it was 9:30pm their time, the people are cheerful & ready to help. I have always had a great experience every time I have called. They are the best!!!

Very happy w this phone service. Great price excellent reception. And good personal customer service.
One caveat: if you are an international traveler , the service is not reliable in other countries. Had terrible non existent service in Italy and some service in Spain.
Company is fraudulent
Company is fraudulent. Paid for first month service but never activated. Was told charge would be refunded in 5 business days at least 7 times over a month and a half. No refund. Nothing. Not to be trusted.

For 5 years I had a great experience
For 5 years I had a great experience, no problems with signal, no problems with customer service. Then suddenly my voicemail box was full, and I was unable to access my voicemails. The message I was receiving was "an unknown error has occurred", then it would disconnect from me. I called and called, and no one could help me. They said the system was down. Most of the time I called the line was busy, which was really strange. I tried to login to my account using my laptop, but the website was down. This went on for 11 days. I was able to reach customer service 3 times, and they said there was nothing they could do, and then asked me if there was anything else they could help me with! I finally on day 11 ordered a SIM card from Boost Mobile, as their pricing is about the same. It came and I was back on with my phone number switched over 5 days later. Amazingly I was able to switch my number over (I have had the same number since 1999). I was surprised that no one from PureTalk ever asked me why I was canceling. No one ever asked me to come back. I was a big fan of their platform, US based, using US employees, giving back to the community, etc.

Very Poor customer service --- Upgrade phone desired
I have been a customer of puretalk for a very long time. I love the service, the no contract, the payment is easy and overall great company. That said, twice I have had crazy pull my hair out problems with the customer service. Both times involved new product issues.
Today the reason I give a one rating is because I have spent 6 hours plus on the phone trying to upgrade my phone. I wasn't approved for financing through Puretalk so I went with the other option offered, Affirm. Should be easy since I have an account with affirm with an available fund at least five times the amount of the phone.
Within minutes I got the approval from Affirm, email and first payment due date of July 18th. Great I think to myself. Then, I waited 24 hours and called because the shipping hasn't come out of my bank. OK, I call Puretalk, I am told by operator Contice that there is no order. She doesn't offer to look into anything just said there is no order in progress or any other way and that I would need to submit another order. I hang up feeling extremely ignored by her and felt that she didn't give to hoots about the call or that I had an order that wasn't showing up. So I call Affirm. I explain to them, after getting out of the AI service, what is happening and she spoke with me at length at options. I asked could she please just cancel the order because there is in reality according to the very poor customer service respresentative/s at Puretalk there is no order placed. She tells me she can't cancel order, it will have to be canceled by Puretalk and gave me their Merchant ID to be helpful and give proof of order. I call back to Puretalk and get an extremely rude/talk over the top of everything agent named Mike/Michael. After 14 minutes of him telling me there is no order that they can cancel, and me telling him I have the merchants number (which he won't take) I ask for a Supervisor. He says no because it isn't a Supervisor call. In my shock (I have worked at call centers as a Supervisor and would have been terminated if I would have said that), I asked again for a Supervisor because he just kept repeating his answer and didn't try to really assist me, he again started talking over me and told me no Supervisor. I then had it and yelled very loudly (I know this isn't the best behavior) to get me a supervisor. I was put on hold at 14:15 minutes. He came back to the phone at 17:51 and said, "brief hold" and back on hold I go. Came back again at 19:09 again saying brief hold and giving me no time to respond and back on hold I go again. Same thing again at 20:17. Then at 24:08 minutes he came back and once again started explaining that this is completely Affirms problem because they are a 3rd party. I very quietly spoke with him and yet again he spoke over me saying there is nothing that can be done. So, I explained to him that on July 18th I am going to have to pay a payment for a phone that I will not get because Puretalk doesn't show an order for it. At 31:38. I told him that I will end the call because there can be no resolve-he spoke over me telling me that he has done everything I asked and has tried. I told Mr. Mike that I will be leaving a review and it won't be kind or good. It is the kindest I can be and I am sure I have not had my last discussion with Puretalk, but I can do nothing about the situation at this time. WHAT A MESS! All because I wanted a simple phone upgrade.
This is an update, Puretalk is sending survery requests to the other phone number on the account when they are fully aware it is not that person they have spoken to......unbelievable.
