Males Changing room Freezing.
There has been no heat in the Mens changing room since 20th November 2025, I informed a member of staff on this date. The management put two notes up regarding this issue and then took them down again and since then no update on why the heating system has not been repaired.
It is absolutely Baltic in the changing room and I actually shiver when I get out of the shower.
For the heating system not be working for this length of time is absolutely ridiculous and I just wonder how long it will continue before the heat in the male changing room is restored.

Staff are the best and simply couldn’t do enough for me! Signed up and chanced trying to enter same time 😉 Arrived at the gym with no access pin but was able to show my completed documents and the Manager allowed me access and gave me my induction briefing. I’ve subsequently been back and the staff have been so helpful. Both Lisa and Rhys have been so welcoming and taking time to show me how to operate machines and adapt movements for me. It really is an extremely friendly, unpretentious gym. I would highly recommend.

As far as gyms go it’s Ok
As far as gyms go, it is alright. Husband started going here and sadly he wasn’t impressed. The treadmills need updating, the lighting is bright and daunting. There are no individual changing cubicles? I was quite shocked to hear this as it is quite frightening to people who may have anxiety disorders or other disorders or anyone really who may be fearful of changing in-front of others.

Better options
I get it’s cheap and stuff but the treadmills are so old and hard to track calories on, the lighting is very bright, the machines are very clanky i tried a the pec flys, lat pulldown, hip abductor, leg extension, assisted pull ups and the hip thrust machine. each clanked very loud anytime a rep was finished, the gym music doesn’t sound like gym music.. i started off in pure gym and switched for £10 dearer there are better showers changing rooms hair dryers straighteners better machines more machines more accurate calorie tracking an option to weigh yourself for free an easier check in additionally the weights are more accurate and less loud, better music and better lighting for aesthetic purposes in actually annoyed i even bothered spending £8 on this lol

In the gym, we must adhere to Health & Safety guidelines as specified by HSE, as to the appropriate volume at which we play our music and our members are taken into consideration at all times when choosing the appropriate volume.

Difficult to get heard
Difficult to get heard. I've mentioned that the showers are just Luke warm for over 6 months and still same in winter. I'm left shivering afterwards. I've spoken to the staff several times. They have been luke warm from before spring 24 at all times of day. They are still the same now, Jan 25. Bangor, ni.

Recently rejoined this gym after wanting to try somewhere different. Updated equipment and machines are all first class. Staff are very friendly and helpful which creates a nice welcome environment for anyone at any level of fitness.

Pure Gym Bangor Northern Ireland
I have been a member of Pure Gym Bangor Northern Ireland since it opened around 10 years ago. Always found facilities very good, but, in recent weeks with the arrival of extra new machines the area around the squat racks in the gym has become very cluttered resulting in less safe and efficient workouts — more is not always better. I have been weight training for many years now and the safety of myself and other trainers has always been of paramount importance. Hopefully rearranging the machines and equipment will rectify this.

Purchased a day pass to try new gym in…
Purchased a day pass on 8th Dec to try new gym in local area. Access code took some time to come through email initially then couldn’t access front door. Had to wait until a member was exiting the gym so I could get through front door. This was embarrassing and time consuming.
