6 school girls meet every year 1st tome at your lodges it was very chilled lovley place. Having the pub and a great singer Stuart bar man was great Food absolutely best Fish we have had. We lived it that much we will be back next year. Xx

Very nice place! The house is nice, clean and confortable.

We stayed at Docker Park, the Lodge was clean, decent sheets and luxury towels, little extra touches I didn’t expect, quiet site with beautiful views.
Maintenance much to be desired, patio door struggled to close, this was an issue that had been mentioned in the welcome book, previously. Television not working, a temporary job was done, with Ariel being fed through the window, that then had to be left open 24/7, engineer arrived Tuesday afternoon with a key to let himself in, if we were out, nobody informed us. No ovenware, only one wine glass, no slip mat in shower, a broken clothes Airer, no pegs. We were there during a heatwave and requested a sun umbrella, advised owner of Lodge should provide that! I had no idea Pure Leisure sub let the lodge. I booked direct with Pure Leisure, paid my money to Pure Leisure. I had been there 4 days, before Patio, TV, Ovenware and Wine Glass issue sorted, half of the week gone. I received an email from Customer Relations apologising for my unfortunate experience and offered as a good will gesture, 20% of my next booking 🤬, was not happy with this and wrote to the area manager Alan Boddy, who immediately referred it back to Customer Relations who came back with the same response, 20% of my next booking. The Lodge wasn’t cheap and I do feel I should of had some compensation as people have said, they charge £100 for breakages

We must of stayed in a different place than some of the bad reviews, we stayed in moorings 7 and it is beautiful. On the edge of loch Ness and has everything perfect for our stay. The lodge has loads of room and it's so comfy, well equipped and a lovely hot tub.
STUNNING

We stayed at lowther park on the second bank Holiday of May. We stay usually as we have family We visit near by. The area is amazing, the river, the castle the walk into penrith. We seen that the pub etc had been renovated so we booked again in the hope the rest of the site would have been updated too. The toilet block is atrocious. The punch codes on the door is pot luck if you can get through them. In fact the twist mechanism on the females door had been ripped off and my husband said that the male door looked like it had been kicked in at some point. The on site shop was closed and at no point were we told it would be. We usually nip to the shop onsite to get our essentials so that not only are we supporting the onsite facilities, we can just set off and get there sooner. So we found our pitch in the motorhome, set up the awning put everything in its place to then find out the shop will be closed the whole of the weekend. But fear not..... the pub now serves food! Well it should have done, but they very quickly got overwhelmed and stopped taking orders. I took a photo of the menu we were given and I was excited to try. In fact the whole weekend I didn't see anyone eating any food and it was all everyone seemed to be talking about. One of the warmest, most probably busiest weekends of the year, and there was no food available. So our options were, either spend an hour packing everything back up to drive to the shop. Or walk to find a shop *which is what we did*. 5 miles later.

We bought our food to cook, however there was NO hot water available to wash our pots.

Staff were overwhelmed, but still friendly. Like I say the location is amazing but for the price of the pitches, id have expected better locks on the facilities doors, or even a light above the punch codes so you can see what you are doing.

We were regular campers in tents then touring caravans for over 20 years & the site was well run with a well stocked shop & well maintained. We rented a static caravan for a few days & the site is a disgrace. Apart from the caravan being dirty with very well worn mattresses, everywhere looked neglected. The only new addition looked like the Squirrel pub being refurbished & renamed to the Cow Shed (?) with the outside tables being broken & rotten. There is no food available at the pub and the shop was permanently closed! So if you are self catering you will need to take everything with you. Since Pure Leisure bought the site it has gradually gone into decline and they obviously don’t care because the majority of reviews on Tripadvisor echo my opinion. I did write to the CEO John Morphet but he showed the same interest as he does in the holiday park and ignored me.

Visited South Lakeland Leisure Village in April and as usual had a great time.
Party of 7 Aged12-70 .
Relaxing holiday , we all enjoyed the gym and the pool.
The staff were all very pleasant and helpful.
Great to be able to take our dog.

We were 4 bikepackers (no cars obvs) with 4 tiny tents who were charged a lot of money (even after booking in advance and negotiating a small discount) for 4 huge sloping, wet pitches. The pitches had electric which was no use to us. All 4 tents easily fitted on the least wet, least sloping pitch. The showerblock was warm and clean but a long way away. There was no restaurant or bakery on site as advertised. Staff were friendly and helpful. We camped here as no other option.

We have just returned from a weekend here in a pod with our 8 year and what a fab place! From swimming, to the play area, soft play and arcade, there was more than enough to keep him entertained but the real treat was the nature reserve on site or the wildlife you could see/hear on your pod porch. We spent some time in the hides on the reserve and saw deer, woodpecker and lots of other wildlife which and enjoyed the calm of that area.

The pod was perfect, clean and all we needed and super quiet at night. The heating and electric were a bonus. There is no WiFi from the pods but we don’t go away to spend time on devices so this is a blessing for us to take a break and spend quality time together so frustrating when I read other reviews complaining about that, stay at home if you need WiFi to enjoy your free time!

The club house is fab, clean and spacious and was always buzzing with people eating/having a drink but a great place to chill and have a few drinks. The bar staff who work in there are incredible, long shifts and lots of people to serve but always with a smile on their faces and having a laugh with customers, I saw them still in there cleaning the bar area at 1am on our last night , hats off to them both.

There was a dj on the Saturday night and that was good fun, everyone was singing and dancing, great fun and it got people in. Both nights the bar was packed out.

It’s a nice quiet site and felt really safe, lovely family feel, toilets and showers clean and warm.

My son used the pool and the facilities were fine.

It’s definitely not ‘basic’ like some other reviews say, if you want something overpriced and flashy then take yourself to centre parcs, it was the perfect stay for us and happy kid, happy us. We have already booked to return in 2 weeks time.

Wow we had the most amazing stay at the fort Augustus site. Lodge brand new & customer service could not do enough for us. The site was breathtakingly beautiful and lodge absolutely delightful. We will be returning here for the view in the morning.

We have just had 4 lovely days at lowther holiday park with the whole extended families, the weather helped tremendously, we were able to ride our bikes all the way to lowther castle for a great day out. The facilities at the park were less available though due to the shop not open anymore, maybe just an area in the office where you could purchase supplies and ice creams would be a great asset, no take away facility either anymore. The great facility was the pub, and the refurbishment that has taken place. Lowther is set in a wooded area with a river, it isn’t an all singing and all dancing park it’s a make your own fun kind of park but that’s just how we like it, family fun making memories.

Nice clean shower and toilet area, but no internet or phone signal unless you sit in the bar area, dog friendly pods have no view compared to the other pods on site, overall I wouldn't be visiting again because of them reasons, I was in a lovely pod but no signal it's a good job I had my radio, if them issues was different I would definitely visit again

From our first contact to arrange an appointment to now owning our lodge, the whole process has been simple and stress free. Lakesway is perfect, so quiet and scenic yet with the Lake District within a stones throw, so many places to explore all under half an hour away. The park is beautiful and exactly what we were looking for with a lovely restaurant and bar on site. Special shout out to Jess, who has been amazing! It’s not just about getting the sale, she’s been just on the end of the phone with any questions or issues and resolved everything almost immediately. She has been fantastic guiding us on our journey with our first holiday home and always on hand with help, support and advice. She has gone (and still does) above and beyond to ensure we settle into our new lifestyle. Jess you are a diamond, thank you for turning our dream into reality. And not forgetting Ellie who has been tech wizard, removal lady and the go to girl with all our questions on our new lodge. I can’t fault a thing, feel so at home at Lakesway already and can’t wait to make many happy memories over the years. If you like to get away from everyday hustle and bustle in beautiful surroundings yet be within easy distance of everything the gorgeous Lake District has to offer then this is the place for you.

Both my wife and I (in our 50s) were considering purchasing a static caravan and reviewing our options for 2026 and on the recommendation of some friends we visited Fellend (Pure Leisure) first (and last). What can I say, we fell (no pun intended) in love with Fellend, it wasn't too big, yet had all the amenities we wanted (bar, restaurant, amusements, indoor play area, gym and swimming pool) also you have the nature reserve over the road (2.5 kilometre walk around) the whole site has a community feel to it, the staff are amazing and tentative (nothing is too much trouble) Sophie and Zoe in sales were amazing, no hard sell just catered to our personnel preferences. Found the perfect caravan which was then placed in the perfect tranquil location. I am not easily pleased but I can say this is most by far the easiest decision we have ever made. We cannot wait to get to the site every week and it is a burden going home. We cannot praise the staff, location and the overall site conditions and amenities enough.

I had a great stay at South Lakeland Leisure Village with pure leisure. 5 nights in a gold lodge, staff were all friendly, loads to do in the local area and really lovely restaurant on site!

Four weeks, numorous emails and phone calls to get our £100 security deposit back. Was told it had been paid twice before they finally manged to send the payment on the third attempt!! Awful customer service.

If you want to book to stay in a lodge for a week be prepared to have to continually chase to get your £100 deposit refunded. We must have chased them 6 times for the security deposit to be returned and took pretty much a month. An absolute joke and I wont be staying with them again!

Absolutely beautiful place
My only issue was I left a jacket,the staff where very helpful,so i thought. They would send it back to me recorded delivery and take the money out of my deposit.this was 28th July. No jacket received. The said receptionist has apparently left and no receipt was collected by her, the manager basically told me,not there responsibly. After 12 times calling,no one rang me back. Absolutely disgusting,we have spent thousands of pounds at this resort, and they can't even be bothered to sort out,the smallest thing

Due to family emergency had to cancel the visit and reached out the team for a refund 2 weeks before arrival. Apparently its a 60! days no refund policy. Its a shame for places like this
