I ordered several boxes of the botanical glassware and a Sophie Conran gravy boat. Having never ordered from Portmerion before and seeing mixed reviews, I was a little concerned. I didn’t receive an email confirmation so called and the phone was answered quickly by a lady who found my order and sent me a link so I could track delivery. She dealt with things quickly and efficiently and everything arrived, extremely well packaged and in perfect condition within 3 days. Excellent service and the glasses are beautiful, delicately designed and elegant. Thank you for a great service.

We bought two dozen full play Settings. That was six or seven years ago. Everything literally everything is cracking and falling apart. We have never had even the cheapest China fall apart like this. Absolute junk

I just placed an order with this company.
Easy to order; delivery was amazing, quick, efficient with excellent communication.
Pottery arrived beautifully packaged with a wonderful free gift and I have to say I was delighted to see “Made in England “ on every item. The pottery/ plates/ cups themselves are absolutely beautiful and of an extremely high standard. I cannot rate this company highly enough. Outstanding thank you.

I spent quite a while choosing items to purchase on this website, the total amount was over £49 which entitled me to free postage. However, I was shocked to then find on the final part of the payment procedure that I was being charged £12.00. This was not stated up front. I telephoned customer services on a number shown on the web site and a female explained that they did not deal with online purchases and that she would speak to the relevant department and they would telephone me directly. Nobody has bothered to call me. My complaint is not just that I have been ignored by your staff, but that you are trying to charge £12.00 for something that should be free of charge as advertised. Although I live in a PA postcode in Scotland, the postage cost from Royal Mail on a Tracked 48 service would only cost £3.39 as this is a standard price for the whole of the UK - this includes free collection - why can't my order be sent via this method. I feel that I am being discriminated against ...........

This is my response to the reply from Portmeirion:
You state that you have an asterisk next to your free delivery message on the top of your website - this is totally untrue - the message in full says: Free delivery on orders £49+. Definitely no asterisk, although I'm sure there soon will be when you see this.
You also state that you haven't received a request to give me a call - this too is untrue - I had a telephone conversation with a member of your customer service staff on the 10 July who assured me that you would call me back either later that afternoon, or failing that the following morning.

I ordered 32 piece dinner set. I found out two of dinner plates were broken and contacted customer service straight away. Many thanks to Sophie who was very kind to send the replacement. Replacements arrived in 2 days. Happy days!

To the management team, Sophie is a real asset to the company.

My review has been post on the wrong site this company is nothing to do with my experience. My apologies.

Very disappointed the building all need a lick of paint looks like not been painted for 30 years outs just shops selling tac or coffee shops gardens not existent .

The prisioner must of been thick to not find his way out

Bought a £177 wrendale dinner set, it arrived with 2 of the mugs having the same design they said they would send out a replacement but this hasn't arrived, between Portmeirion and Dpd they are giving a poor service.
Been over a week and Portmeirion don't like to answer emails and there's no way you can get any sense out of Dpd!.
Future purchases will be made direct from Wrendale.

Went up to Castell for a bit of lunch as the village was full and the chef a bit shouty. Anyhow lunch was 30 pounds said I did not want the full menu and was told that I could have the main meal but still would be 30. Really and it brought a smile to our faces

Superb prompt delivery yet again, well packaged (in paper not plastic).

I tried to purchase twelve placemats. I have two packs of four which I like very much. That's one star each. Customer service saga is boring, but they repeatedly sent me damaged stock and treated me with suspicion when reported. When they eventually meandered their way to the correct decision (replace and refund), the replacements were once again damaged. I gave up.

In the past 3 years I have bought 6 dinner services for myself and family, plus dozens of items from the Christmas tree range totalling upwards of £2000.
This time customer service has been appalling. I have emailed twice and been ignored.
Very upset about this as every year I buy all my family additions to their Christmas collections. Won’t bother next year.

I decided to buy the full set of creatures of curiosity, very pleased with the quality and beautiful design! It’s the first full set I’ve ever bought as a new home owner, I’ll keep them forever!

My second order 4000104744 arrived within a week but the first order 4000104636 is yet to arrive or be updated as dispatched. Hopefully I should receive it soon.

Everything arrived in one piece as it was so well packaged! I’d highly recommend anyone ordering from this company! You won’t be disappointed

We bought a dinner set and were disappointed in the quality, so sent it straight back. Some time later, I realised that we still hadn't been refunded, so I made an enquiry. I had a reply saying they'd had a glitch in their system. We got our refund, but I wonder how many others don't pursue it? This is the second time in a couple of weeks I have had to chase a refund.

An exclusive village created by the wealth & vision of architect Clough Williams-Ellis for which one is charged an astronomical price to enter for just 3 hours.

Although I’m too young (since it was filmed in 1967 when I was just a year old), a series called the Prisoner was largely set/filmed here which has a cult following (though it’s very dated and wooden if you happen to seek it out on ITVX).

The gardens are beautifully kept but how sad that most of its buildings & the nooks and crannies that Clough created with a vision to give such pleasure are now marked as private and the buildings used as guesthouses/rooms thus depriving us who have after all paid well to appreciate them from ever experiencing them.

I’m sure the hotel and its exclusive pool and all the rest are great but for me, this was well overpriced , with the paintwork looking so rundown (compared to the photographs in the book I purchased to read more about it).

A mini-moke runs up and down the steep hill, you’d think it would be providing a service to those less able to get back up after having ambled down. But no, this too is reserved for those paying for the privilege through being hotel guests. I dread to think what they charge.

I can say I’ve been, but I’m sorry to say that in my opinion it’s not an outing that does anything at all to recommend itself (except maybe to say that the icecream I had was rather lovely - which it should be at almost £5 a cone, no sauce, sprinkles or flake!)

Ordered three bowls which unfortunately were broken during delivery. Emailed customer services with photo as requested to which they replied that replacements would be sent. Three days later new bowls arrived all intact. Excellent, fast and hassle free service. Nice addition to my Portmeirion tableware.

Wonderful amazing village to walk through , you really do feel like you are in another world , the delicious refreshing cocktails at the Portmeirion hotel lobby were enjoyed by our group of seven, the walk down to the beach was interesting and adventurous for the teenagers in our party , I would definitely recommend the visit , you really do need a full day to experience everything on offer

I have over 50 pieces from the Botanical Garden collection. I received a tea kettle as a shower gift. The giver had it for several years hoping to gift this brand new never used item. After using it, the pain chipped off. I called Customer Service and they said they would not help. Obviously it was defective and they would not stand behind their products. Horrible to test someone this way after literally thousands spent on their products. NEVER AGAIN

Amanda on the entrance ticket booth met us with an infectious enthusiasm, she was very informative about the village and assisted us later in the day when we had a problem we needed assistance with. She is a credit to your organisation. The village lived up to our expectations and the weather just made it.
