Awful experience. I booked commute over 1.5 months ago. 2 weeks ago I was refunded for my booking. No information from the company, no plan to resolve the inconvenience. The driver i had booked with reached out and said his account had an issue and was resolved so I could rebook. Which I did. Now two days before my drive to Montreal, cancelled AGAIN. I have flights to catch. This is a terrible last minute stressor. I would never recommend this company or service to anyone. It is clearly unreliable.

Poparide is very help for the ride takers and givers both. I've used their web and mobile both apps, it is very user-friendly and easy to us.

Very nice, all the people coming with me jn the car where very nice people. This app, let you know about whom will you take in the car and have more information in case that something will happen. Very very good app for drivers and passengers. The app makes sure that payments go true and also protects the passengers in case that driver doesn't show up.

Mr Omer is a very hyperactive driver, disrespectful, and arrogant

On the 5th of march, 2026,He drove to a gas station, left passenger in his car, took his prayer mat without saying a word , went to pray, am not against his religion, I mean I love praying, left us for over 15mins in the car, he came back, I was expecting him to apologize, but he did not say anything, what he is was " in 25mins we will be in kingston" and i replied really?, he said nothing, I did not write any review, because I felt maybe he had a bad day then
I finally confirmed Yeasterday that he is terrible man, after he thrown money on one of his passengers, terrible experience, I was shocked and terrified, because his level of aggression is not save for someone driving a passenger,
Yeasterday was off for me, I draw my conclusion that mr omer is not a nice person, he was suppose to drop me off at don mills according to his description, he did not ask anyone in the car, i mean other drivers would ask everyone their destination, only for me to find myself in a far distance from my home, I spent Xtra $100 for Uber just to get home because it was already traffic time. Popride should talk to popride drivers to be respectful, some of the drivers are very rude and they dnt care. I had a very bad experience Yeasterday.It was terrifying.

Used it just for a couple of times, so far im very satisfied with the experience.

I have been using Poparide for more than 2 years now as a driver and as a rider too. This is an amazing app and service. I highly recommend this app.

I just had a ride with Karim from Montreal to Ottawa and it was extremely unsafe. First of all we left at 5:00pm and arrived at 8:10pm and there was not even traffic it was because we got lost. I fell asleep for one hour and then woke up when we were at a gas station and he went for a smoke but i have no idea what he smoked because it didn’t smell like nicotine or weed but it was after that we got lost so he was definitely high. We get back on the road after the gas station and we end up going on the route back to montreal. I saw the signs and then asked how far away we were from getting there because i was really worried and he said 20 minutes but then he turns around gets on the right highway to get to ottawa and i looked on my maps and we were 1h15 minutes away so then at the end of the ride he tells me that if i hadnt asked how far we were we would’ve went back to montreal cause he got confused. again he was definetly high the whole situation is so suspicious and he was driving so aggressively and fast after the gas station, he was tailgating drivers until they moved and cutting up. there was another lady in the car with her kid and she didnt even speak about anything which really surprised me how she wasn’t concerned for the safety of her kid. btw im a 18 year old university student and im definitely more shy so i was scared to say anything and honestly when we got lost i thought i was getting kidnapped especially with the mom not even worried about anything it really freaked me out.

I’ve never had an unreliable experience on the app, and I appreciate that these rides are much cheaper than buses and trains within Ontario.

Pop a ride, you disappoint me. Because I didn't know who was charging me through my bank I requested a chargeback on the credit card. The trips were booked by mistake and cancelled immediately and I believe I sent reasons for the cancellations through the app.
The car and driver I finally got was frightening and the car was full of garbage. Then you blocked me because I missed your 1 day window to reply. I don't check my email everyday pop a ride. Then out of the blue you tell me I have breeched your agreements and am never allowed a pop a ride account again in the same email thread you asked me to respond to the requested chargebacks...? Keep my $45 dollars, I am happy to find a another way to travel.

Ive book 3 times the whole day without any single reply. Why bother to post the ride if the driver doesn't even reply to messages.

I really appreciate this app, cos it’s very secure and helpful for managing interaction with passengers, giving some précisions on time and place to meet. But, try to pay the driver on time please, cos money’s taking longer. It should be maximum 24h after the ride. Thanks.
