The staff are amazing who work at Waltham abbey leisure centre always happy to help and it’s a very nice and relaxed atmosphere

Too many kids and the parking is awful, paying £50 a month to not be able to park because people are coming in to use costa is ridiculous, there needs to be parking for members and parking for people coming in to drink coffee, pi++ take imo. The time it takes for machines to be fixed aswell is mental. Other than that the gyms good

I joined the xcel to lose weight to build up strength. (As I turned 66 years old this month.) to feel better in myself as I suffer with depression anxiety. Since i joined the gym my anxiety my well being has increased significantly. Happier in myself. I leave the gym at the xcel after a good work out pleased with myself. The only issue I have with the gym is I be waiting ages to go on the weight machines as other members sit on the weight machine on their phones for ages. Or chatting to another person on the other machine near them. Mostly ignoring is they are on their phones for 10-15 minutes not moving off or away from the weight machines having to wait on them to finish. I have had to do extra work out on other weight machines which I don’t want to do just waiting on that someone to get off their phones to carry on using the machine. Making other people wait while their on their phone then to start using the weight machines a is selfish and out of order. Both men and women

Gyms rammed most of the time. Almost pointless going now as you have to queue to get in machines or use a bench. Been a member for years. Cancelling membership.

The Triangle in Burgeds Hill has rapidly gone downhill. The Jacuzzi & Steam Room have not worked for several month. Place is an absolute disaster, it is dirty and management don't care.

The centre feels good from the minute I arrive. All facilities are excellent and efficiently managed.
The staff are consistently helpful and focussed.

A lovely all round leisure centre. A nice pool for aqua fit and lane swimming- the aquafit instructors are amazing with great music choices. Great value as a monthly charge gives you all classes from yoga to Pilates to Zumba and the newly refurbished gym. Lovely friendly atmosphere and would definitely recommend.

If you are going to the Triangle over the next few weeks check that the facility you need is up and running. There are various closures planned for long overdue maintenance.

Shower pressure not great, as only 1 or 2 people can use it at the same time.
Water can be on the cold side, but that tends to be the same else where.
Pool forced to close because chlorine pump breaks down regularly, probably a legacy of Better running the center.

The Rotherham staff are welcoming and helpful. The instructors are amazing and encouraging in classes and the gym

Clean facilities (swimming pool, showers, toilets, change rooms and lockers), steam room and sauna, friendly hours for early risers (0630 on weekdays and 0730 on weekends, friendly and helpful staff.
I can't complain about anything, first class!
I have been going to the pool for a few years now and every time it's a delight.

Gone right down the tubes in the last couple of years. Dirty stretching area plus equipment taking months if not longer to repair. But apparently the place is being taken over in the autumn.

My trainer James is very understanding and gave me the exercisesI needed

I had an appointment to meet a Caroline at Reception, Camberley today to do a gym induction. She was very helpful, knowledgeable and committed to working out a personal programme for me. The gym equipment seemed up to date and easy to use and she was able to recommend quieter times for me to attend. Great!

The reception staff have been helpful and the swimming facilities have been fine, particularly when visiting with my daughter.

However, the gym itself is disappointing. Equipment is poorly maintained (including rusted cables), cleanliness standards are low, and the free weights area feels overcrowded and unsafe at times.

The sauna is frequently not ready at the advertised morning opening time, and the steam room is often out of order, which makes the space even more cramped.

I’ve also experienced ongoing issues with the app and online booking system attempting to charge me incorrectly due to an account error.

I have raised these concerns directly with staff, but little has changed. Given the recent increase in membership fees, the overall experience does not currently represent good value.

I hope these issues can be addressed, as the centre has the potential to provide a much better overall experience.

The variety of classes and the professionalism and standard of the instructors on the class timetable are excellent. I have been to other clubs previously including private clubs and I was surprised and continue to be really pleased with my Excel teachers and classes.
