A culture of collaboration
Phillips Solicitors was established in 1986. Brain Chase Coles Solicitors was established in 1995. Both firms merged on 1 February 2020. The merger was an important step towards our goal of building the region’s strongest dynamic, full-service law firm, whilst maintaining the traditional values that both firms were built on. In 2021, Phillips acquired Henley’s Solicitors. In 2022, we became Phillips Law.

Persistence paid off
The team were very persistent in seeing through a sale and a purchase. Both transactions were not always straightforward, but they were always contactable and willing to help. They were particularly good once we got closer to exchange.

An exemplary legal experience
My need was for a Will and Power of Attorney. The initial meeting at Phillip's office was relaxed, with no time limit and tricky legal terms explained. The resulting written communication was on time and clear.

An outstanding Law Firm
This was the first time in my life that I've had to use a solicitor I was very anxious not knowing what the process would be like, I can 100% say that Philips Law were by my side every step of the way great communication very clear on what the next steps were and went above and beyond when I was unsure of which route to take. I will be recommending Philips Law to anyone that requires their services. I am currently using Philips Law for another matter so I will post my experience on completion.

Absolutely phenomenal solicitors!!
We used Phillips Law for the process of buying our first home and they were absolutely brilliant!
Trish Coutts and her assistant Jakki Lonie looked after everything for us and they couldn’t have been more attentive and responsive and more than happy to answer all of our silly questions. Iara in their new business team was also so brilliant with us and very patient and helpful and deserves a shout out too!
They are so efficient, knowledgable and our house sale went through so fast due to their amazing hard work and dedication! Also very well priced for a stellar service.
I cannot recommend them more - thank you for all of your help and making us 2 x very happy new homeowners :D

Even though going through a divorce is difficult, Phillips Law made the process as easy as they could with plenty of explanations along the way.

It was rather avg overall
It was rather avg overall. There wasn’t a real effort to either fully and fairly represent me in the case.
Sarah F my legal counsel was decent and tried to help. However, one of her senior colleagues (advertised as an expert in employment matters) who stepped in when Sarah was on AL, appeared to be only interested in the monetary aspect.
The outcome of my case was not what was promised to me when Phillips was engaged in my employment matter. I had been repeatedly re-assured that I had a strong case. And then over the 3-4 months the interest in my matter ebbed, though I was charged a hefty legal fee.
The experience has heft me feeling rather wary of engaging law firms in the future.
