Terrible company
Issues with Peter Vardy:
Extremely poor customer service, refuse to engage via email despite repeated requests due to difficulty answering phone at work and option given as preference on online forms.
Rude and disengaged staff.
1st attempted purchase:
Advised specifically to inform insurers of modifications made to the car at initial progress with purchase. When this resulted in excessive insurance premiums being quoted resulting in me wishing to cancel the purchase, reversed their advice and said to not declare to insurers in blatant attempt to secure a sale even though this would result in an invalid insurance policy.
Failure to return reservation fee of £500 despite stating this would be done, eventually received back over 6 weeks later and only after pestering.
2nd attempted purchase:
Advertising a car and deal at one price, taking reservation fee then changing price on vehicle and re advertising, without any contact with me nor acknowledging need to return fee.
Still awaiting return of reservation fee on this vehicle which they proceeded to sell despite taking my reservation fee and then not communicating about any issues.
Ignored the issues of their "false advertising" on the car that they increased the price on, by £12000, following my reservation.
Eventually stated they would put together a favourable deal on a different vehicle as acknowledgement of the issues with false advertising and failure to return reservation fees etc. Offered a car with £1400 "discount" but reduced the value of my trade in by £2200 from previous offer.
Refused to provide contact details for complaints department not senior manager.
Do not deal with this company.

Awful experience and terrible servicing
The initial sales process with PV BMW is positive, but then thats because they want your money.
I have bought four BMWs from this dealer over a number of years, you would think I would have learned my lesson after previous bad post sale experiences but I like the brand.
Servicing - Main service seemed fine, however on a recent ‘seasonal check’ they were atrocious, including missing a highly dangerous tyre defect. Booked in for 11am, was told it would take 1 hour max as I was waiting for it to be complete. The car wasn’t taken in until 11:45am and then wasnt ready until almost 2pm. I hadn’t noticed the tyre had been badly damaged, one of the sales guys did. I said to replace it as upon checking it was in no way roadworthy. Got the car back, really not sure what, if anything was completes. Tyres came back as all good on the report, obviously not. I have a service plan but wont be using PV servicing again.
Trade in / new sale. While waiting for my car (it was a long wait, see above), I spotted a nice 128ti, decided to ask for a test drive. I asked at that time what the trade in for my car old be (Typical cheap sales tactic, they got me to test drive before they would give this). It was when they were checking my car that they highlighted the torn tyre side wall, I asked that the tyre be replaced. I test drove the 128ti, which had been through a few of the staff as a ‘demonstrator’ and liked it. Back to showroom and see about the trade in. Apart from the torn tyre and easily fixed damage to the same wheel (cost me £80 for the repair the next day) the car is in spotless condition. They offered what I thought was a very low trade in value but I was assured it was very competitive. I thankfully didnt buy the other car and was then kept waiting far too long for my car to be returned.
Trade in: After leaving I was offered £1250 more by WBAC, £1400 more by another dealer, either of these I had used before or was buying another car from (and not the fifth car from the same dealer)
Marketing: in the next week after leaving the showroom I was contacted not once or twice but FIVE times by phone asking about the VIP event and if I was interested in buying another vehicle - phone number 01315738718 now blocked - on each occasion I told them I was not interested and to stop calling.
Ive finally learned my lesson, I will not return to PV (any dealership) and while I have this BMW will go elsewhere to get it serviced. I have also decided I have had enough and will never buy another BMW. Post sale experience is atrocious, service process is very poor, phone routing when calling awful (unless you want to ask about buying funnily enough) and can be trusted to service properly

Beware no after service.
*Beware! Terrible after service* I purchased my car in February. Received really good service on day of purchase. After service has been bad to terrible. Took 6 weeks of persistent phone calls,finally contacting National Customer Service, and asking if they had sold me a stolen vehicle, before V5 was registered in my name. 6 weeks later problem with car not going into 5th gear. I had bought their after car insurance. Connected them and recieved booking in date 2 weeks in the future. Took car in on booked date when we were advised job would take 9 hours it wouldn't be fixed the next day, Friday, as there were 3 other vehicles booked in before ours. We agreed to leave the vehicle, thinking we'd be left without a vehicle for 4 working days. Phoned following Wednesday to be told the gearbox would be getting sent to a contractor, and they expected it back hopefully the following Friday. We need the car as we have two elderly parents we care for. We we also told gear box had been removed. I checked agreement and phoned back and asked for courtesy car, to be told that didn't kick in until warranty started when vehicle was being fixed. I asked to speak to a manager who was very unhelpful. Telling me he had listened to calls and I had been told it would take weeks. I tried pointing out I had only been told this after I had phoned and queried delay. He gave me 3 options. 1. Take the car back and book it in at a later date when it was more suited to me. Obviously not a valid option as car isn't road worthy. 2. Take it and book it in elsewhere as warranty wasn't with Peter Vardy and there were other garages. I wasn't told this before leaving it with them, and time it would take was uncertain so also not a valid option. 3. Leave it with them. I had no choice but to leave the car. Also told that there is at least 4 week long waiting list for courtesy car. Needless to say I don't expect any follow up calls unless I contact them. Also, now without the car for who knows how long. Really upsetting and terrible experience, and I dread to think what the car will be like when it is returned. Also, I had to stop staff member from trying to start an argument on the phone. Staff don't give their names when answering calls. Manager was determined not to help or listen, blocking my concerns and lying about content of calls.

Awful Customer Service. Avoid
Bought a Discovery Sport from Peter Vardy in Aberdeen (dealt with Kieran) but customer service has been awful. I noticed scratches on the window when I went to pick the car up. They said they'd fix it but went weeks of chasing before they actually took the car back to fix. When then returned the car, I noticed that there were still scratches. I've contacted them a number of times to discuss but they are just ignoring me now they've been paid! Very poor service. Do not buy a car from them.
