Can’t fault Pbro Cars. I travel mainly alone and wouldn’t use anyone else. Great prices, price advised up front at time of booking, whether that’s by phone or on the app. App is so easy to use, with live tracker of your vehicle. Vehicle details advised so lone travellers can feel more reassured. Cars always clean and drivers helpful and professional. I often use for airport runs at all hours of day and night and really wouldn’t use anyone else.

I regularly use Peterborough Cars to get to and from work on the days I work in the office.
On 04 December 2025 I requested a cab at 7.40am through the app and it rocked up an hour later! I requested a refund but they just said 'there weren't enough drivers' - what kind of service is that? Really disappointed with their customer service as well, is that a way to treat regulars?

I pre-ordered online on Monday evening for a pick up the following morning at 8.30 am going to Peterborough Train Station, which would suggest that I had a train to catch!
At 8.40 I telephoned the office and was told that I was the next priority. I reiterated that I had a train to catch which is why I had booked for 8.30am.
The driver eventually arrived at 9.00am and proceeded to drive erratically through very heavy rush hour traffic, overtaking and going through several red lights in the hope he would get me to the station in time to catch my train, which, in the end I missed!
If a company offers a pre order service for a specific time in the future it should comply to that request and allocate drivers in order of pick up time.
I am absolutely disgusted with the service I received and although I have never had a problem before with this company (which I have used many times) I will not use them again! Perhaps the reason they are cheaper than other companies is that they don’t care about their customers unless it’s a business or regular ongoing booking

Im am so surprised that this company has a rather low over all rating!! I have been using Peterborough cars for 26 years now, not only are they one of the lowest/fairest prices around, they are also ALWAYS on time & are honest with customers about long waits (which is rare anyway) where other companies will give you an ETA which they know is a total LIE!! Peterborough cars have never done this. You can track your driver in real time as soon as your car is dispatched so you always know exactly where your driver is & how long they will be. The drivers, always happy to engage in chit chat but equally stay quiet if they sense they have a passenger who prefers not to chat. Very friendly always and the same can be said for the telephone team, always a happy person on the other end. If anyone visiting Peterborough were to ask me to recommend a taxi service, hands down Peterborough cars every time. I think me using them for 26 years and still as happy a customer now as I was at the start says a lot!! This company deserve lots more stars!!

had an extremely disappointing experience with Peterborough Cars and would not recommend their service.
• I was overcharged £35 because they counted infants as full passengers, which goes against official transport guidance. This charge was never made clear at the time of booking.
• The driver threatened to leave me and my family stranded at the airport, which was shocking and completely unprofessional.
• They also added a waiting time charge, but there is no clear policy available on when it starts or how it’s calculated.

Absolutely terrible service from Peterborough Cars. I booked a taxi well in advance to catch my train, but ended up standing outside for over 20 minutes, with no driver in sight and no proper updates. If it wasn’t for my neighbour who thankfully offered me a last-minute lift, I would have missed my train and my entire holiday abroad would have been completely ruined. This level of unreliability is simply unacceptable for any taxi company. When people depend on you for important journeys, this kind of service is beyond disappointing. I will never use Peterborough Cars again and would strongly advise others to think twice before trusting them.

It was to get the services that phone provides.

Once was enough with this outfit. The worst cab I've been in that I can remember.
Crap everywhere. Marks on the ceiling.
Window fixture held together with duct tape, so couldn't open it.
Driver was an immigrant with terrible English.
Seats were all worn and split. Just crap.
Use at your own risk!

I must say on the whole I’m satisfied with the service. I pre book if I need to go to the hospital and get there on time. Most drivers are helpful.

I have a number of issues with this Cab company.

1. Some drivers insist on using their phones in their laps while driving or at traffic lights. I have collected video evidence of this from my last few journeys with 3 different drivers.

2. If the driver is kept waiting when or if they pickup you up they charge you extra. There is no recourse however if the driver is late.

3. When you book a time it's not the pickup time, it's when or if a driver can be found to accept the job.

4. The mobile app collects a lot (and I mean a lot) of information about you and your phone. Do not give it free access if it asks for permissions to different services.

5. The drivers often have no idea where they are going or cannot follow simple SatNav instructions.
Despite their company android application which shows them the booking and journey / destination they somehow think your going somewhere else. If you don't speak up before they have gone half way across Peterborough they get highly irritated and confrontational trying to blame the you the passenger for not saying something before.

I am not interested in communicating with this company and hearing excuses and lies in their defence.

Great executive car hire service that I booked to drive my daughter and my new son-in-law from their wedding reception to their honeymoon night destination. Smart modern and immaculate Mercedes executive car as I had requested. The chauffeur was professional, polite and friendly to me upon arrival at the venue and the same with my daughter and my son-in -law. Highly recommended and definitely a 5 star service. Would not hesitate to use again. Thank you so much.

I just came home with my husband who has mobility and cognitive issues . Admittedly my husband was a little rude to the drivef . However when we got out of the car my husband Lent on it to steady himself and the car moved off . Subsequently my husband fell over ( he already had multiple fractures to the spine ) I did not get time to retrieve my bags from the boot . I rang the office immediately as as the cab took off . The office said it would be £8.50 to get my bags back which I paid . The cab drivers told me my 70 year old husband was very drunk I told him he has dementia . He offered to drive me to the hospital ( probably for a price ) I declined as my husband was sleeping .
I am very angry upset and shocked by such an appalling service . The cab driver took advantage off an elderly couple and tarred us with drunken England football supporters . A response would be appreciated

Best taxi company in Peterborough, the app makes it so much easier to book and pay online. Highly recommended

Peterborough Cars offers a reliable and high-quality service. I booked a taxi from the railway station using the app, which was really straightforward and fast to use. I was alerted throughout where the driver was and how long he would be. The taxi arrived on time, the driver was courteous and accommodating with the bag.

Have booked a taxi several times and they have never failed to disappoint me great service always. Thank you for being the best taxi service

Just avoid. After getting into the train station after midnight after train delays last thing I wanted to be doing is chasing a taxi driver around Peterborough car park.

Driver turns into pick up area continues to turn around and drives out into the adjacent stay carpark. I was waving my hands to get his attention but avoided me at all costs. I went to the adjacent car park with all my luggage in tow and he simply says its been cancelled. This was laughably as he was there and so was I. The driver cancelled the fare. My best guess the journey wasnt long enough. I was too tired and stressed to argue, so I got a black cab who was more than happy to take my fare.

My last three experiences with them have been awful.

My first bad experience was being over charged. I was waiting outside a property. I watched the car drive past, turn around then pull up. It wasn’t until I got home that I realised I’d been charged extra for keeping the driver waiting.

My second bad experience was when the cab never arrived. I called the office and they said the car was waiting outside. Obviously it wasn’t otherwise I wouldn’t have called them.

My third bad experience was last night when the car arrived earlier than expected. Out of courtesy I had a quick chat with the driver and explained that I would be out shortly. I went back inside to put my coat on and when I returned the driver had left. Adding insult to injury he charged me for not being ready.

Very disappointing service from a company I have been using for several years.
