Easy to wear and no overpowering aroma. I’m normally a major attraction for insects and any bites are often infected needing antibiotics. I bought a bag of pestecs for a holiday in Barbados which my daughter and I used. As we’d done a lot of swimming we used a couple each during our stay, wearing one at a time on our wrists. Lots of colours to choose from in the bag so just looked like we’d accessorised! No bites for either of us and a stress free stay! Will use in the UK as well come summer!

I bought these with high hopes for holiday to Thailand. Upon arrival I put one on each wrist & one on each ankle, the only good point I can find is that initially I thought they looked nice on but unfortunately I got 4 bites on one leg the first night & then discovered that when wet the colour leaks out, brilliant white hotel towel & sheets were covered in red & blue dye!! I took them off immediately switched to a spray from local pharmacy & haven’t had a single bite since & im not risking a charge from the hotel for ruined towels & bedsheets! Sorry but I really can’t recommend theses for all of the above reasons.

I love these! Just bought my second pack for this year's holiday. Bought a pack 3 years ago when 9 of us went to Florida. They were great and lasted really well even in and out of pools. Plus the colour variety suited everyone. Not a single mozzie bite from any of us (and I usually end up covered).

Its so easy to place an order, and they arrive in reasonable time. I usually get bitten fairly bad especially when abroad, and I must admit I was a bit sceptical when I first saw Pestecs, but thought I would give them a try, I am so glad that I did, I have used them for just about two years now, and I have yet to be bitten ( even when my friends do) I would highly recommend these, you won't be disappointed, my friends have also changed to these.

The idea is great. They are attractive to look at. Nice faśhion accessory. The dye will run and stain your fabrics. I had red dye from a red bracelet run on white bedding. Unfortunately, they don't work for me. I wonder if I got a batch that never had any repellent in? I did purchase the spray repellent and used it over the bracelets I was wearing, but still I got many bad mosquito bites that became infected and had to get medical treatment. All I can say is that sadly these Pestects bracelets don't work for everyone!

Absolutely useless. I’ve tried them several times and I think they are a complete waste of money

In Mexico now had 1 on got eaten alive put 4 on different colours they looked that great the little fella’s came by to check them out and pay there respects mabey the mozzies in Mexico are different 😂and that is as asked for an honest review 💯

Recently went to Thailand and used these, had one on my wrist and another on my ankle and didn’t get bitten once, my friends who arrived in Thailand before us got bitten badly until they used something but me who always gets bitten and reacts badly was fine, I’m volunteering with a charity in Uganda this year and these are 💯 going with me for sure

I have a history of getting bitten by little beasts every time I go on holiday. So 2 yrs ago tried pestects. As well as looking super cute and colour coordinating with my outfits they did just what they say they will. And lasted for the full 2 weeks. I stacked mine boho style ! Would highly recommend 👌 👍

Used them on 2 Cruises last year..The 1st time we weren't Biten..

I bought some insect repellant bracelets from this family run business.I liked the this behind it.
Unfortunately they dont care about their customers as I sent numerous messages asking the whereabouts of my parcel.They never arrived after 2 weeks and when I chased it up they said there getting redelivered back to them due to not been able to read the address label.
Stil waiting
for my refund or replacement and pestects actually stated I can only get refund when they receive them back.
So basically I paid for the item 16.99 plus postage but have no item
They were rude in there correspondence and clearly dont care about the customer as there CS is appalling .stay clear of using this company.

My wife & I wore Pestects recently on trip to South Africa & Mauritius, on an ankle and wrist. After almost 3 weeks away we only had one or two bites each, so really pleased with them, as I’m particularly prone to bites.
They also look great too.

I used these bands in Sri-Lanka and they definitely don’t work.
The repellent smell disappeared from the band after one day of use.

I have gone back to using insect repellent as this is the best way to prevent bites.

Good idea, nice look but no good (bit of a con).

These bands deffo work. I usually get badly bitten by mossies, not this time. Highly recommend and I'll try them on the Scottish midge next.

They did exactly what they promised to do - kept those pesky mosquitos at bay during our two week stay in Tulum, Mexico in the heart of the Yucatan Jungle. 5 *****

Used in europe for 2 years and seemed to work ok.
Totally uselss in Mexico!! Has one on each wrist and on one ankle, but both legs have seen total mutilation!!

Good marketing that's clearly working.
However, you can get the same product way cheaper online (Amazon).
Pestects claim they're better as their product lasts over a week (definitely doesn't!) and that it's waterproof and still works after showering/swimming (definitely doesn't).
Also they claim wearing one on your wrist is enough to prevent bites on your legs as the scent is strong enough - experience shows this to be yet another lie!
They need these extra claims to differentiate themselves from the other, cheaper supplies of the EXACT SAME PRODUCT and are happy lying to everyone to get the sale.
Notice that many of their Facebook ads have many Angry reacts but all positive comments - clearly monitoring and deleting comments. That's why I've come on here to review.

I've been using Pestects for a few years now every time I go away I always make sure I have a pack with me, on a recent trip to Thailand they came in really handy. They work so well.

I was a little skeptical about these, but a friend recommended them and now I'm a convert. We used them in SA and Mauritius recently and only had a bite each. We swapped them every few days and they re-absorbed the repellant from the bag really well. They will be on the holiday list every time from now on!

Not great !!! After 2 days in México got bit to death and I was wearing 1 on my ankle and 1 on my wrist ,got bit right on the ankle where the bracelet was!!! Wouldn’t buy again !! Got to buy spray now !!
