The fact I’m having to put 1star makes me feel sick to my stomach.. because you don’t even deserve that. this is a warning to other pregnant women & young couples to pay the extra money and go somewhere else, the money is all that they are there for. Sunday 12th July I had a scan, there was 6 people in my scan room including myself, where we had been told MY BABY HAD A HEARTBEAT, for then less than 2 minutes later, the lady who did my scan took her words back and said that THERE WAS ACTUALLY NO HEARTBEAT🤬if you are unsure on something keep your mouth shut before you open it and pass news like this. INFRONT OF A 13 year old boy also 🤢 there was no sympathy at all. For the young lad (my brother) to sit there and sob his heart out and not one person comforted him from the team in the room, we got told to wait OUTSIDE & they’ll bring the report to us, no sympathy for the news they had just broken to us, even when I stated me and partner had already had a previous miscarriage in March💔- when my mother in law has emailed a complaint and for several days no one has got back to herself on the email she has given to peak a baby- they didn’t even offer me no scans pictures of my baby, yet that is basically what you are also paying for? Are you not?? They won’t tell my MIL nothing because of “confidentially” which is reasonable, HOWEVER she isn’t asking on information about me. WHY WAS WE TOLD MY BABY WAS HEALTHY AND A HEARTBEAT WHEN MY CHILD INFACT HAD ALREADY PASSED💔and for then all my measurements to be wrong when I phoned and asked for MY SCAN pictures, compared to my notes that you handed me?? Disgusting and you’ve had nearly a week to deal with this! This is going further whether we get a reply or not now. STAY AWAY THIS PLACE AINT WORTH THE HEARTACHE. BIRMINGHAM BRANCH

Unfortunately the only reason I left a 1star review is because I have to leave a star! Keep clear of this place!!!!! Customer service is absolutely shocking but the “lady” that did my son and daughter in law’s scan needs to be struck off!
I was in the room with them my husband my daughter in laws mother and her brother 6 of us was in that room when we was told baby had heartbeat! ….. then to be told MINUTES later baby had NO heartbeat!!!
I mean how traumatising was that for my son and is fiancé!
We are absolutely appalled. However I have been in touch with “customer service “ what a joke! I was told due to private and confidentiality they can’t speak to me… which I totally understand however I’m not asking any information regarding my daughter in law what I was asking is …WHY HAVE WE BEEN TOLD THAT MY GRANDCHILD HAS A HEARTBEAT THEN TOLD NO HEARTBEAT WITHIN MINUTES!!!!!! I have now been waiting several days for management to respond … no response so I’m leaving this review! Newspapers will be next! How dare you do this to families! How dare you!

Clinical Incompetence and Total Lack of Professionalism
I booked a scan here hoping for clarity during a complex early pregnancy, but instead, I experienced a complete lack of clinical rigor and basic professional standards. Upon arrival, despite having a scheduled appointment and having completed my paperwork, I was ignored while staff prioritized a later-arriving patient who was further along. It felt like a "conveyor belt" service where complex or early-stage patients are treated as an inconvenience.
The level of detail paid to my records was non-existent. Despite clearly writing my name and surname in the correct format on my paperwork, the clinic completely ignored my legal name and my surname, producing a report with a fabricated name that does not match my legal ID. If a clinic cannot accurately record a basic name, they cannot be trusted with medical data.
The scan itself was rushed and lasted barely five minutes. As a patient with hEDS (hypermobility) and a retroverted (tilted) uterus, I require a sonographer who understands how to find "windows" in non-standard anatomy. Instead, the sonographer was excessively "firm" with the probe, causing physical bruising and discomfort. They failed to take the time to navigate a tilted uterus, leading to a "nothing seen" result that I believe was simply a missed view due to a lack of effort.
The report I received is medically nonsensical. The sonographer recorded my endometrial lining as 1.15mm. For a patient with my symptoms and history, this is a physiological impossibility (clearly a typo for 11.15mm). This is a massive failure of clinical reporting. They labeled my case as a "Pregnancy of Unknown Location" (PUL), yet confirmed no masses in the tubes. Rather than taking the time to provide a thorough scan, they propped my hips in a way that made the angle harder and gave up after minutes.
If you have any medical complexities like hEDS or a tilted uterus, avoid this place. They are not equipped to handle anything beyond the most basic cases. I am now having to seek urgent care at an EPAU to fix the mess and anxiety this clinic caused.

No support/ onward referral for a missed miscarriage
I went for an early confirmation scan at 8w4d pregnant. My scans ran on time to and there wasn’t much waiting. I was told during the scan that no heartbeat could be found and the baby was measuring too small. I found the male sonographer to be very cold, vague and uncompassionate in his explanation. He didn’t explain to me that my dates ‘could’ be out, nor did he tell me the CRL of the foetus, I remembered this from seeing it on the screen and had to do my own research at home in terms of the size in relation to gestational age, which was distressing after what I’d just found out. I was just told that this was likely a miscarriage but I’d need to return for a second scan.
After returning for the second scan to have a missed miscarriage confirmed, the second sonographer was more approachable and compassionate, however I still had to ask what my next steps were (first pregnancy with no knowledge of what needed to happen next). I was told I needed to go to my own GP, no onward referral by themselves mentioned. I had already spoken to my own midwives who had disregarded my concerns and said my dates could be wrong.
Upon finally being referred to a pregnancy unit by my GP, I have been told on FOUR separate occasions by the hospital that the sonographer absolutely SHOULD have referred me to an early pregnancy unit on the first scan and I should not have had to wait for a second private scan to be seen medically. NHS will not use private scans so I should have been referred immediately for a NHS scan. They were outraged that they had not done this. I was told that this has delayed any medical help with starting the miscarriage process, which of course has made my experience even more traumatic.
I understand that you sign a waiver that they cannot provide medical advice, however in these situations, there must be a protocol to follow due to infection risk in missed miscarriage situations.
The hospital were fully aware of this place and the negative feedback/ experiences surrounding it.
In any further pregnancy, I will never step foot back in this place.

I had a really positive experience at Peek A Baby in Bristol (Kingswood). From the moment I arrived, the reception was welcoming and everything was very easy — from finding the location to getting in touch and booking.
The team was incredibly kind, caring, and empathetic, especially during such an emotional moment when I found out my baby’s gender. Even though the result wasn’t what I was personally hoping for, they handled everything with so much sensitivity and support, which made a huge difference for me.
I truly felt looked after and respected throughout the whole appointment. Their professionalism and warmth really stood out.
Overall, a lovely experience, and I would definitely recommend them to other parents-to-be.

I attended an appointment for a kidney/bladder ultrasound
I attended an appointment for a bladder and kidney scan. I’ve had this type of scan many times with other providers, and the process has always been the same: the sonographer scans your kidneys, then the scan is performed on a full bladder, then I’m asked to empty my bladder, and a second scan is done afterwards.
This time, however, the entire appointment lasted around 10 minutes. The sonographer scanned my kidneys and then my full bladder. I expected to be asked to go to the toilet and return for the post‑void scan, but instead I was told the scan was complete and was rushed out.
The experience felt incomplete compared to the standard procedure I’m used to, and it left me unsure whether the scan was carried out thoroughly.
4D scan
I paid £80 for a 4D scan and my baby didn’t move during the session, so I was asked to return the following week. Unfortunately, the same thing happened again. They then told me to come back yet again, but I explained that I don’t live in Birmingham and travelling repeatedly wasn’t possible.
Instead of showing understanding, the staff became defensive, cold, and dismissive. There was no empathy at all just constant disputing, even when I calmly asked for a partial refund of £30. I was sent away with absolutely nothing, not even the promised newborn photo voucher.
I left feeling distressed, anxious, and genuinely shocked by how I was treated during what should have been a special and sensitive experience. I would not recommend this place or 4D scans in general based on how poorly this was handled.

Beautiful experience that I was able to share with my family and friends. I’m so happy that I was able to bring my daughter so that she was able to actually take part in my pregnancy and make it more real for her. Thank you to Peekababy for providing such a wonderful experience.

I will always rave about this company. They have always made me feel welcome and informed throughout my pregnancies. I recommend everyone to go. They can be busy but I’ve always had full attention and always had an excellent experience.

Waited ages to be seen. Brought a video of baby to be 6 minutes long was very rushed was only in the room for 6 minutes wouldn’t recommend for any scan and we think they could have got the gender wrong as it was so rushed and not clear on the photos. Baby was upside down and they did nothing to try and move the baby to see clearer.

Attended a gender scan today, to be told that I couldnt have it done because I was not 16 weeks, there website clearly advertisers from 15 weeks but what it does not make clear is that is only at Birmingham. Traveled a long way with our child and were excited to find out what we're having to be told that we couldn't have it, not help, not apology just hands a number to call as they don't book there own appointments. The whole situation was handled so unprofessionally, told to go to Birmingham if I wanted to know this early which wasn't possible. Didn't seem to give one bit of care regarding how stressful it was.

PLEASE DO NOT BOOK HERE, worst experience ever, had my gender scan booked since the start of may for tomorrow at 10am, they call me just now telling me the sonographer is not available tomorrow and my appointment is cancelled, I am vulnerable and disabled and had arranged for my carer to accompany me for my scan as I have been very unwell and this was something I really was looking forward to it, I was extremely triggered at them cancelling at such short notice and made that very clear, they then called me back 20 minutes after to say they can fit me in right now at this moment, seriously?! I just told them I am disabled and require a carer so how would they expect me to do that at such short notice, terrible service and company, please book somewhere else!!
