I use pastest and it has really good quality and quantity of mcqs ,the ai component analyses and tells the weak parts to be covered better in revision ,all in all a good Q-bank ,the short concept videos really help for quick reference and easy to remember

I used Pastest for MRCP Part 2 for 4 months.
The question style closely matches the real exam.
Explanations helped me identify weak areas.

Used to be better but they’ve wrecked it now. Has stupid boxes that pop up with condescending messages at every question whether you get it right or wrong that are very distracting. Now have to click to see why other answers were wrong and the all the answers and reason don’t fit in the screen so a lot more scrolling and clicking. Not user friendly at all and used to be very good so now it’s just really disappointing.

Overall useful resource, as someone who has had previous MRCS sittings can see that the questions reflect actual material that came up.
However, based on only using the Past Papers, I notice that sometimes my answers are not always saved. I learned that if you do not hit "submit" it will not save, however sometimes even doing so I have noticed it will not log my answer. Very frustrating.

PASTEST is good to be used to revise for the MRCPCH theory exams (FOP, TAS, AKP). However, the same cannot be said for clinical part. There's an extremely limited number of case videos (for example MSK only 1, CVS only 6).

Although the exam content is great, but the pastest app is so buggy, it's literally a waste of time and money.
We have paid a hefty premium and all pastest has presented us is unoptimized, cheap app which lags and misses import features.
1. Timed tests miss questions even after marking
2. Bookmarking takes ages to register
3. History of previous 5 test are visible, rest is ALL GONE! HOW AM SUPPOSED TO REVISE MY PAST QUESTIONS?
4. INSPITE OF DOWNLOADING question sets for OFFLINE use, the app still needs internet connection for access. THEN WHATS THE POINT OF OFFLINE DOWNLOADING.???

Why are loading times so long, why can't I access my downloaded questions when I'm not in network? Why signing in is required eevrytime i open the app?
Please learn from EMRCS to give a simple, fast and practical way to use exam materials.
You're just putting students in more stress, that's too after paying such a high price.

You know all pastest questions are available as pdfs on internet, with explanation. I still chose to purchase this.
But really disappointed. Even tried contacting customer support, but they are still figuring out since 2 weeks

I already mailed pastest about this but didn’t get a good response. The best Q-Bank I ever enjoyed was Plabable and the reason being that I was able to go through the questions subject wise without setting up a question block all the time. Once I finished my subject wise revision of questions then I was able to make as many mock tests as I wanted. If only this feature could be added, it’d be so much more enriching and fulfilling learning experience.

The question bank is very good. However the podcasts functionality within the app is not be best. There are errors when scrolling to find a podcast recently accessed with the list jumping to the top again. The podcasts are 300MB each to download that is quite excessive. Also the app should have the ability for the podcasts to be played in the background when the app is not being accessed. The podcasts also appear rather outdated, referring to "recent" guidelines from over 10 years ago.

The website has many issues
Cannot access the 3d images in the qbank while solving
Cant access the mock tests and cant continue the same qbank if left and started a new one
If a new qbank is started the previous qbank cant be accessible.

I'm using Pastest MRCP part 2 Exam essentials lectures. I've gained a lot of knowledge thanks to these lectures. I've used Pastest Q bank and Essentials course for part 1. I was able to clear it in first attempt. The Q bank is very good for fast learning. The Essentials lectures are excellent for revision and clear concepts.

Many of the figures in the questions cannot be seen. Please rectify and do this soon.

It is not useful to see how others answered. It should also give the option to answer blocks of 20, 30 questions as a lot of people uses this on breaks while at work. The app features should be optimized as well

Like the content but passmed is just so much nicer. Need to update and make it look better, colour code and bars like pass med. pass test is just so ugly that’s why everyone is moving to passmed it’s just easier to use

I feel the app is very slow today and keeps hanging . Content wise is good .

Pastest is good. The only problem is that you can’t separate questions by condition e.g i couldn’t only do questions on IgA Nephropathy, i would have to do a mix of all renal conditions. This is not an experience I have had with other platforms. EDIT: following a response from pastest i have tried to split by condition and this still isn't available, and the questions aren't mapped to the MLA topics e.g searching for acid base abnormalities or acute bronchitis yields no results. I wonder if may be I am navigating it wrong.

I used this most recently for the MSRA in 2024. Found it to be a good resource and I liked the app. I did have some issues with the app though (since addressed) - I initially got this in 2023 when it was the only one saying that you can download questions for offline use but the app didn't work offline (logged you out and so then you can't log in and access the downloaded questions) but I believe they updated the app to fix this issue after raising it. Also some issues with crashing and not reloading the questions at the same point. I liked the explanations and found these to be useful. I then took a year out and redid the MSRA in 2025, using PassMedicine instead. I found the questions from PassMedicine to be more similar for the Clinical questions (Pastest still good and useful though, with I think more spread of questions from what I can remember) and Pastest to be a lot better for the Situational Judgement. I would use it again in combination with other resources and first used it for revision in medical school, provided by the library, which I think more hospital trusts should support.

I found the question bank and ‘past papers’ not very representative of the actual exam. The question bank heavily focused on very rare conditions, which was not the case in the exam, and the ‘past papers’ were similar on the topics in the exams but in the exam the focus was on management of complex versions of stuff you meet frequently and Pastest question bank was concentrated on rare stuff. The ‘past papers’ were very straightforward in pastest with the way it was written giving clues to the answer . In the exam you really had to think within just as little time , so I didn’t find it prepared me very well. I haven’t got the result yet so I don’t know how I did - I hope I passed but no idea yet. Pastest was better in years past .

Very helpful guide and strategy to keep candidates up to date and standardised.

Great app! Studied only from pastest to clear MRCPCH part 1 and 2. Faced few technical glitches once in a while. But the content is adequate for prep.
