Just avoid this company. They are possibly the most unprofessional delivery service I have ever used. The shop they use in D15 couldn't be any more dodgy. The same 8/9 men hanging around a small computer shop, why do they need so many staff? Something going on there. The first time I attempted to drop off my package I was basically told I had the wrong shop and they never heard of parceldirect.ie.
After calling support they told me they would call the shop, which they did. The reception I got on my return was despicable.
At that moment I had a feeling my package would get "lost". Low and behold the tracking number supplied yielded no return every time I checked. When you ring support one of the many Michael's (I think there is just one but a ploy to avoid responsibility) will tell you not to worry and that they will sort it out without problem and that they will ring you back with an update. They NEVER ring you back, NEVER. I never got a reply or a reference number sending to their support email either.
They eventually told me that they had lost my package and would "try" refund me the value of the package. That was about 3 months ago and true to form not one phone call or email received from them.
Just go with a well known company and save yourself the enormous amount of hassle.

I shipped package in December and it was lost by courier. I was asked all details about the content and got vague responces or no rensponce at all for the last 4 months. Each time they say they deal with it. 4 months..... Michael either not reply to my emails or say 'we are working on it'. I can't believe it takes 4 months to sort it out.

Had a great experience with Parceldirect.ie! Works a lot like skyscannner but for parcels and seems to provide better prices than if you went to the carriers directly! Processing through the website was very easy and all I had to do was drop the package at one of their locations (or opt for a collection).
My shipment was going to the US and was there within a week! Great service, would highly recommend!

had a an issue with the 1 courier they are agents for during the last 2 years I've use them, but ParcelsDirect as an intermediary represented us well , chased the courier and resolved the issue...good support!

So, I went to the store I had chosen for parcel collection to pick up a parcel that I had ordered. The lady told me that they never received anything from dpd, even after I showed her the proof of delivery that I had gotten by email. I just can't believe how close I was to losing my package worth €560. The only reason I was able to get it was because after I had left the store, I tapped the View Image button from the email I had received from dpd. I then turned around, went back to the store and showed them the picture. Another lady then told me that she had tried to scan the package into the system but it never went through. They then told me that they only accepted ups and dhl parcels (I don't even know if that's true). Apparently, I was supposed to be charged after inputting my PDL number but that never happened after the package arrived. I could tell that they were not happy, as they told me I couldn't just use the store address without paying to get it delivered, as it could have been lost. I am not putting the blame on any of the in-store staff today, it's just this so-called service that doesn't even exist. Ever since they got rid of parcel motel, they did not put an oohpod locker in every convenient store/petrol station and it has been very difficult to find alternatives. I will never be using this service again, I will just find another service that is legitimate. I guess this only deserves 1 star, only because I did get my package in the end.
Edit: I got a phone call the other day from Parceldirect after this review went live, they said they'd call the store to find out more regarding my experience. They also said that they could see that I already did have a PDL number and everything. I just don't know why it never works when I use it, I have used other services like this before (i.e, Parcelmotel and Parcel Wizard) and they worked fine. Anyway, I had another package that was due to arrive at the same store that I had that unpleasant experience at the other day, but thankfully, it was an post that was handling this one. I rerouted it to a post office, and boy am I glad I did. I was able to collect the package from there without any problems at all.

We are regular customers of Parceldirect and spend hundreds with them on a monthly basis. The truth is as long as the package carriers (UPS/GLS/FEDex) do their job right there is no problem HOWEVER if anything goes wrong it is a disaster, I’ve been chasing my tail for 9wks over a lost package. They lack the initiative to forward me on any info regarding my missing 25KG extra-large package!! I am constantly chasing for updates. Nobody from either UPS or Parceldirect is taking responsibility - but at this stage I would just like someone to work with me to resolve. All I have asked for is open communication and all I have received is silence. When I contact them, they lie - or UPS lies because UPS say they have sent PD the info but PD support swear this is untrue. Lack of communication is unacceptable so book direct is my advice at least then if things go wrong you can chase rather than being left in the dark
It would not be difficult to make this company great but a bit of effort is required, and I would recommend they drop UPS as they are a huge part of their problem

Used ParcelDirect for an Amazon return. There were constant problems from start to finish and I only knew about them because I was tracking the delivery myself. UPS wanted to charge the Amazon seller, to whom I was returning the item, a fee of just under €200. The item was barely worth that. I contacted ParcelDirect, and furnished them with the Amazon Return documents that they said they would give UPS. Christmas came and went, I forgot about it, then remembered it in February. Tracked the item and UPS wanted a fee off me to return it back to me. I contacted ParcelDirect who said I should have read the Terms and Conditions and I would have to pay a fee to get the item back, and was now outside the time to return. I should have sent it by post. It seems UPS throws fees on everywhere for no reason and holds people to ransom. I paid ParcelDirect, UPS and didn't get my item delivered. Stay away from them. They take AGES to answer your queries/claims.
