terrible service

Update 1: The issue I complained about in September was resolved, but no specific reason was provided.

Update 2: The same problem has happened again. I still don’t know why they rejected the request (they only replied with a template and didn’t give a specific reason), just like I didn’t know why they corrected the mistake in the previous case.

I'll keep it updated.

The service has always been terrible. I’ve been working with OCUS for almost two years. Yes, they are making changes, but the service remains consistently poor.

Let me give you an example.

According to the platform policy, photographers are entitled to 80% of the compensation if an appointment is made by OCUS or the client. I accepted an assignment like this and arrived at the restaurant on time. However, the restaurant manager told me they needed to reschedule the photoshoot.By the way, OCUS doesn’t provide any contact information before the shoot, so you can’t call to confirm the appointment in advance.

I took a selfie in front of the restaurant’s door and waited there for half an hour — which is one of the required proofs to receive the 80% compensation.
Here’s the interesting part: I submitted a compensation request, but OCUS approved only 30% of the full amount — almost 10 days later. I resubmitted the request, but they refused again, saying the reschedule fee had already been approved.
I submitted another request and explained clearly that the appointment was made by OCUS or the client, and it was the client who needed to reschedule, not me. I also stayed at the location for 30 minutes.

Another 10 days later, they refused again, claiming that I had uploaded two photos taken at the same time. So I uploaded another photo to prove that I had stayed there for 30 minutes. They rejected it again, repeating the same reason: “The reschedule fee was approved already.”

Thirty days later, the whole process started over again. It feels like no one cares about what you say or what you do.

Plateforme utile mais peu de service d'aide

Je travaille pour Ocus en tant que photographe. Ils proposent une variété de projets de manière assez régulière, avec une rémunération définie par projet.
En revanche, il ne faut pas espérer un retour rapide si vous avez un problème. Il faut batailler avec un chat automatique et un service de ticketing qui prend des jours à apporter un retour.

Good Job for freelancers

Hi Again another review for this year
I gave 5 stars because I still think that OCUS one of the best Company to work with ,,
Yes the money not like before but at least they organize everything to make it easy for us just go to onsite take the photos and upload them ..
the things I don’t like so far is
I don’t receive emails like before of the mission available on my area because of the new platform for Austria..
I get also disappointed to because of many of clients don’t want the fotoshoot or prepar any dishes that’s why I stopped for a while and that’s not OCUS problem that the clients what they see or want ..
wish on the future we I can see more missions unlocked on the map thanks 🤍🤍

No one ever reads the photographers…

No one ever reads the photographers comments in the mission statements. If they do, there is no human communication to the photographer. This is not the first time I've have commented about this.

There is something failing on your…

There is something failing on your platform. My portfolio link is broken, and when trying to upload my license that platform failed as well. No one has responded to my request for assistance as of yet. I cannot get any new assignments. I am very distressed about that.

The pay is dismal

The pay is dismal, anyone saying otherwise is either lying or they aren’t a professional photographer. The customer support service is fine once you go through hurdles to reach them.
They have done great damage to small photography businesses in my area. If you use them, or work for them, you contribute to the damage.
