Obaby is one of my fave baby brands

Obaby is one of my fave baby brands. Their products are genuinely of high quality. We have our incredible nursing rocking recliner chair, baby clothing shelf and cot all from Obaby. It’s a trusted brand that offers extra special quality and personally it worth what you spend in return for its amazing quality. Can’t recommend enough!

Very disappointed. The wardrobe was lost!

Very disappointed with the delivery services. My first order, No. 202-4744603-4842727, was placed on 25 May 2025. After two weeks, it still hadn't been delivered, so I contacted customer service, where they said the wardrobe was lost! I was really surprised—how can they lose a wardrobe? They said there were only two options: first, cancel the order and get a refund; second, reorder it. When I asked when I could expect delivery, they said, "We'll see after placing the order." So, in total, it took two months instead of one week to get the wardrobe.

Avoid this company!

Still no contact from this stupid company! My complaint was supposedly passed to the ‘Customer Service Manager’ over two days ago!

Their social media team informed me that I will be contacted, here I am still waiting!

Absolutely unnecessary stress on someone who is EIGHT months pregnant!

They should be shut down for even being associated with baby products!!

O baby eventually refunded me £60 as a goodwill but then asked me to REMOVE my review. I have explained to them that I will leave my review online as other customers have the right to honest experiences.

Furniture not delivered to your door.

The reason I have to give Obaby a negative review is that they use Yodel as the delivery company. This fact was not highlighted during the order process, and it only became clear after I had already submitted and paid for my order. Had I known this in advance, I would not have ordered the furniture from the seller.

Yodel does not deliver the furniture to your door. I raised a complaint with Obaby and they specifically confirmed that they only deliver the furniture to the entrance of the building, NOT to your front door.

The chief issue with this is that the boxes are extremely heavy, almost impossible for a single person to carry up flights of stairs, if needed. And you naturally cannot have your pregnant SO help you lift the boxes.

I recommend staying away from this company; or at the very least, not ordering furniture through their own website.

**Edit: just to respond to Obaby's reply, my order contained 4 particularly large and heavy boxes (one of them I could not even grab properly despite having VERY long arms, and 3 out of 4 were so heavy I strained myself, easily 10 to 20 KGs). So their claim that they offer two-man delivery for large and heavy orders is not truthful. Or they simply set the arbitrary threshold of what qualifies as such, at such a ridiculously high level that it's irrelevant for mere mortals like myself. Regardless, my review stands.**

We’d like to clarify that we use a range of couriers depending on the size and weight of the order. For smaller or lighter items, we may use services like Yodel. However, when an order is particularly large or heavy — either due to the item’s weight or the number of packages — we do offer a two-man, room-of-choice delivery service through an alternative courier.

We’re sorry if this wasn’t clear at the time of ordering, and we understand how frustrating it must have been to manage heavy boxes on your own, especially in your circumstances. We’re actively working to improve how we communicate delivery options during the checkout process to avoid any confusion in the future.

This is our second Obaby furniture set…

This is our second Obaby furniture set and we are soo pleased. We had the Maya set for our first baby and now we have purchased the Orla for baby no2, plus a Madison chair. Now just waiting for baby to arrive!

Nice furniture, but really poor after-sales support

We bought an Obaby changing unit, which we ordered at the Baby Show at Birmingham NEC. The unit arrived within a few days and I got to assembling it right away.

At the final step of assembly, which was attaching the door to the front of the unit, it became apparent that the door wasn't compatible with the hinges as the hinges didn't protrude far enough out to be able to hook them into the holes for them in the door. No big deal, I emailed customer support to flag the issue in the hope that they would send replacement hinges or resolve the issue for us.

A week later (so much longer than the 24 hours they say is their aim on their website), after sending a chaser, I then get an email insisting that the hinges are the correct ones and that I must be doing something wrong. Even though I'd sent photos to them that clearly showed it wasn't possible to attach the door to the hinges as fitted.

After sending more photos and waiting another week and half, I then get a message saying replacement hinges have been dispatched to me. Those hinges arrived yesterday, and they are identical to the ones that I already have, and therefore won't solve the issue. So three weeks later (and three weeks closer to our due date) we are no closer to having a fully assembled changing unit, and I have just sent another email to customer support with even more photos to show that they still haven't addressed the initial problem.

As well as it being frustrating that there is no customer service number to ring to get things resolved more quickly and be able to have a conversation live with someone as to what the issue is exactly, the slow response to emails and incredible drawn out experience (which is no closer to being resolved) feels incredibly poor, and I don't feel that the generally good quality of their products makes up for the poor after-sales support.

So I purchased the grey maya set for my…

So I purchased the grey maya set for my first baby in 2022 and the quality of the drawers were good, I recently purchased another same set of drawers to expand for baby number 2. I can see the quality isn’t as great as the first instantly and the size of drawers have also reduced. Also there was issue with holes not being aligned properly. Abit disappointed as a returning customer.

Strong ordour for baby furnitures! Solution???

We’ve bought a furniture set from obaby official website to decorate nursery for our expected baby. But now it has been a month, the furnitures continue releasing ordour. Given there was no number to call, nor any information on the website about the chemicals used during the production (which is shocking for a baby brand), we first left a message through the chat box on the website after 2 weeks. The advice we’ve got back then was to continue airing the furnitures before they investigate further. So we did, 2 weeks later the smell is still here. Our baby is due to arrive in 3 weeks time, but I am deeply worried and upset that there is no explanation on the odour and I am super nervous about any potential risk to me or the baby. Someone needs to get this sorted! So far all I have is one reply guaranteeing 100% VOC free, with no certificate or report as proof. We are being forced to take the risk but who is taking the responsibility here???!!!

We completely understand how concerning it must be to still notice an odour from the furniture, especially with your baby’s arrival approaching. Please rest assured that the safety of both parents and children is our top priority, and we take your concerns very seriously.

All of our furniture, including the set you purchased, is made using VOC-free paints and finishes and fully complies with stringent EN safety and chemical standards for nursery furniture. As mentioned in our response on 14th April, the products are manufactured to be completely VOC-free. However, it’s important to note that new furniture—especially items with painted or lacquered surfaces—can sometimes have a temporary odour. This is generally harmless and typically fades with continued ventilation over time.

We appreciate your patience in following the airing guidance, and we’re sorry to hear that the scent has persisted longer than usual. We understand how frustrating and unsettling this can be, and we truly value your continued communication with us.

To help resolve this, we are happy to offer a replacement cot. I will follow up via email shortly to arrange the next steps.

Again, we’re sorry for the inconvenience and appreciate your trust in us during such an important time.

I’ve had mixed experiences with Obaby

I’ve had mixed experiences with Obaby. Their products are generally good quality, and customer service is responsive, handling issues quickly. However, some quality control problems, like misaligned bolt holes on a rocking chair, were frustrating. It’s a decent company overall, but improvements in product consistency would make them even better. Three stars.

Customer Service 5 stars, product quality & delivery less

I have given 4 stars as there were problems with our order both in manufacturing quality control and delivery.
Customer Services and Natalie in particular was so helpful and supportive. She warrants 5 stars as she enabled us to get replacement items and a refund.

stellar!!

The crib we got has been amazing and beautiful and useful since birth. It lowers down as baby grows and then becomes a toddler bed and a twin bed after that. Still a couple more years left for us!
But beyond that, the company’s customer service team is so quick and kind. Natalie in particular is just a standout example of stellar customer service. Though the crib is great, I had no particular allegiance to the company as other companies offer similar cribs with similar adaptability. But my experience with Natalie has made me a definite fan. Most of my friends are now starting to expand their families and I will be adding Obaby to my very selective list of baby must haves.

Excellent customer service

Received our beautiful cot from Obaby only to spot a little damage on one of the parts. Emailed customer services and they responded straight away to say they would replace the part straight away and how to find the item batch number and part number to ensure the correct item is sent. Then later emailed the tracking code for the new part. Couldn’t be happier at their speedy response.

Excellent 10/10 service

Bolt in cot bed threaded and was stuck completely after a few tears and a quick email... Natalie sorted me out a new fixing kit and some new parts for the cot where the bolt had threaded and parts were not useable. New parts got delivered the next day. Natalie's customer service was excellent and because of this I will definitely be purchasing from you again in the future! Thank you

I cannot fault baby at all excellent company..,

I cannot fault baby at all, excellent company…

Had an issue with the Obaby Nika cot whereby a screw had cross threaded and could not be removed thus leaving the cot base not able to be adjusted. Phoned my own insurance company who wouldn’t do anything even with accidental damage cover as I had pre expected obaby to point blank refuse as the cot was delivered nearly 2 years ago.

Having been let down by my insurance I bit the bullet and called through obaby on Christmas Eve and got connected to a lady called Natalie who was an absolute pleasure from start, to finish! She pulled up my order from my old address, had me explain the issue in full and quickly advised she would replace the ENTIRE cot and to just dispose of the old one as it wouldn’t be in a position to be returned if it couldn’t be properly dismantled. Day after Boxing Day, (today) and the cot has been delivered!!

If any of the obaby team look over these reviews then ensure Natalie is recognised for her above excellent customer service skills and her empathic approach to dealing with difficult situations! She is genuinely a credit to Obaby!

Love the cot we've purchased. There is a small chip on one side but they had no problem changing it.

We are waiting on one product to come but we have been reassured it's on it way.

Amazing customer service

Ordered through amazon and they only sent one of the 2 boxes. Neither amazon or the courier were taking responsibility so was a lot of back and forth and replacement wouldn't be delivered for 2 months.

I explained the situation to Charlie at Obaby who quickly resolved this by sending a replacement box out even though this was not their fault! A great credit to the company
