Fantastic customer service!

Fantastic customer service!

Even as a second-life owner of an Obaby Crib, when I reached out to customer support they were incredibly helpful and friendly :) Even with me messaging over the Christmas/New Year period, they were responsive with replies.

I was missing most of the screws/parts to turn our bed from a crib to toddler bed - previous owner had misplaced them unfortunately, as they never used it as a toddler bed. I reached out to the Obaby customer service team, and they offered me the option to order the parts direct.

Thanks again + hats off to a company supporting second life usage of their products!

Had to get refund through chargeback

I’m disappointed with my experience buying from Obaby.

Bought the electric Madison swivel nursing chair at The Baby Show on 25th Oct after trialling the display model. Had to chase delivery and eventually it arrived on 7th Nov.

On delivery, the chair was not as described. The back cushion was visibly lopsided with uneven padding and didn't match the exhibition model or Obaby's website images. I sent photos and videos when I raised this immediately and requested a refund.

Obaby disputed the issue, suggesting the chair would “puff out over time”, and said a refund would only be considered after an internal inspection. They also tried to apply a £30 collection fee unless they considered it was a manufacturing fault, describing this as a “goodwill” return.

The chair was collected on 15th Nov, but no refund was issued. Two weeks later I was told the statutory refund period had not started because they hadn't “agreed” a refund. In the end, I had to recover the money through a chargeback on my credit card.

While another item in the same order was fine, the handling of the chair return and refund was unnecessarily difficult and heavily process-driven. Basically I wouldn’t recommend buying from Obaby if something goes wrong.

When the chair was first reported, we explained that due to the way the Madison chair is packaged and the nature of the foam cushions, it can take some time for the padding to fully expand once removed from the box. This information was shared to explain the appearance seen on delivery. However, we understand that you were unhappy with this explanation and requested a refund from the outset.

We arranged collection of the chair and explained that, in line with our terms and conditions, there is usually a £30 collection fee if an item is inspected and deemed not to be faulty. This was communicated in advance. That said, we did not deduct this fee and proceeded with actioning the refund in full once the chair was returned.

We’re sorry you feel a chargeback was necessary, as this was not required in this case and the refund was already being processed through the correct channels.

We regret that you felt the need to leave a 1-star review. Throughout the process, we responded promptly, remained proactive in our communication, and tried to resolve the matter while clearly explaining why the foam was not fully expanded immediately out of the box.

We appreciate your feedback and are sorry that this experience did not meet your expectations.

Helpful customer service

Tammy at customer service was so helpful with ordering some replacement screws on a cot bed we had bought a few years ago. Tammy kept us updated on when the parts would be shipped and responded really quickly to queries.

Great customer service

Great customer service, reacted and resolved an issue with our order within a couple of days. Friendly and responsive staff on the phone and via email. Wouldn't hesitate to order again from Obaby 5 ⭐.

baby cot- very pleased

the product ( baby cot) was as advertised on line and we are very happy with it. When it arrived there was a small hole in the packaging which i did not notice until i unpacked the cot and found a damaged panel. I contacted Argos who were Great !. Sent a replacement part and all is now well and awaiting it's new occupant. :-)

Customer service was great

Customer service was great, particularly Vicky. Really quick replies, gave all the required information, offered extra support, and just had all the answers and solved my issues without any hassle. My nursing recliner is also fantastic - love it. Thank you!

Full-size Maya cot bed

We got a full-size Maya cot bed. The bed looks just like the picture, but there was a pretty strong paint smell when we first unpacked it. We asked customer service what kind of paint was used for the bed and received a reply recommending that we air the bed for a week before use — without directly answering our question about the paint. Only after we followed up further did they claim that the paint is VOC-free (with no proof or supporting information, just a claim). The paint smell lasted for more than a week, and since we received the bed after our baby was born, we had no choice but to use it right away. Given the back-and-forth, their credibility regarding this claim feels questionable. There was also a small crack on the rail, probably damaged during delivery, but it didn't affect the assembly of the bed so we did not return it.

While we do not supply individual testing certificates due to GDPR restrictions, please rest assured that we take children’s safety extremely seriously and only use fully tested, certified, and compliant materials in all of our products.

Poor furniture quality, extremely poor customer service

Poor furniture quality, which dangerously collapsed after 8 months of use just inches from my 13-month-old baby. Obaby customer services were unhelpful and accusatorial, pointing out that I shouldn’t have used their factory-provided fixings if they were not up to standard. They also accused me of making additional holes, which is untrue. I provided photographic evidence of the issues and they declined to provide a replacement item or replacement parts.

I would not recommend buying anything from Obaby simply based on their poor customer service.

Update: as per Obaby’s responses “ it is clear that additional holes have been made to the unit” - as mentioned this is in an incorrect accusation as there is no benefit for additional holes to be made; the instructions were followed verbatim.

Update: as per Obaby’s response - “You requested a replacement unit” - I requested replacement parts or a replacement unit, however replacement parts were offered at a cost even though the product was not fit for purpose, despite the claims that it was vigorously tested.

Furniture sometimes malfunction and decent customer service would be to accept this is the case ant times and provide a solution. The incorrect accusations from Obaby have resulted in this review.

I’m surprised at the poor quality customer service and will not be ordering from Obaby again, and suggest others think before ordering from them.

We would like to reassure you that all of our products are rigorously tested to the highest safety and quality standards. The product in question, the changing unit, has been tested and certified in accordance with the following standards:

BS EN 12221-1:2008+A1:2013

FIRA FRQG C001:2021

FIRA/FRQG C004:2016 + A1:2017

The most recent testing was completed in June 2024, and all results confirmed compliance with current safety requirements.

From the images provided to our team, it is clear that additional holes have been made to the unit and that it has not been constructed in accordance with the instruction manual. Our furniture is supplied with all of the fittings required for safe assembly, and when assembly instructions are not followed, the warranty no longer applies.

You requested a replacement unit; however, under our warranty terms and conditions, we are only able to replace parts where there is a proven manufacturing or product fault. A full unit replacement is not covered. In line with this, we offered to raise a quotation for the parts you require at a discounted rate, but we have not yet received a response regarding this offer.

We understand this may not be the outcome you had hoped for, but we remain willing to assist with the supply of discounted replacement parts should you wish to proceed.

Would 100% recommend. Made purchase through Argos but contacted customer support and was very pleased with the help provided.
Also met a few members of the team at Sandown Park and was honestly so impressed. They helped explain different products like the mattress (which is an amazingly designed product) and the cot which I already have.

As outlined in our Terms & Conditions, unfortunately, we are unable to deliver directly to BT postcodes. We know this is not ideal and we apologise for any inconvenience caused.

That said, we do work closely with trusted retail partners who are able to deliver to your area. For customers in Northern Ireland, our stock is available through The Pram Centre in Derry. Alternatively, throughout the UK, our products can also be purchased via Wayfair and Very, who are able to deliver to BT postcodes.

We’ve been using this mattress for only 3 months with our baby, and it’s already showing a visible depression where the baby lies. Given the short usage time and the light weight of a baby (from 3 to 5.5kg), I expected the mattress to hold its shape much better. Unfortunately, this raises concerns about its durability and support. Not what I would expect for the price, and I wouldn’t recommend it for anyone looking for a high-quality, long-lasting baby mattress.

Obaby is one of my fave baby brands. Their products are genuinely of high quality. We have our incredible nursing rocking recliner chair, baby clothing shelf and cot all from Obaby. It’s a trusted brand that offers extra special quality and personally it worth what you spend in return for its amazing quality. Can’t recommend enough!

Very disappointed. The wardrobe was lost!

Very disappointed with the delivery services. My first order, No. 202-4744603-4842727, was placed on 25 May 2025. After two weeks, it still hadn't been delivered, so I contacted customer service, where they said the wardrobe was lost! I was really surprised—how can they lose a wardrobe? They said there were only two options: first, cancel the order and get a refund; second, reorder it. When I asked when I could expect delivery, they said, "We'll see after placing the order." So, in total, it took two months instead of one week to get the wardrobe.

Avoid this company!

Still no contact from this stupid company! My complaint was supposedly passed to the ‘Customer Service Manager’ over two days ago!

Their social media team informed me that I will be contacted, here I am still waiting!

Absolutely unnecessary stress on someone who is EIGHT months pregnant!

They should be shut down for even being associated with baby products!!

O baby eventually refunded me £60 as a goodwill but then asked me to REMOVE my review. I have explained to them that I will leave my review online as other customers have the right to honest experiences.
