This is an exceptional clinic. They are experts at what they do. From start to end. Medical staff and physios are incredibly knowledgeable professional skilled and caring. Logistics organising transport like clockwork helpful and kind. And my allocated rep was fantastic at providing all the info I needed booking everything from the moment I made first contact and provided support and reassurance me up to the point I came home. I had a hip replacement and had the op within 5 weeks of booking. The only hitch was payment the day before the op. And the reason I gave 4 star not 5. This was very stressful and made me more anxious than the op itself. Due to a bank issue out of my control I could not pay with the chip and pin system while there. All my cards had been frozen due to a fraud issue. Reception staff were not helpful, there is no privacy at front desk to speak to the bank with queue behind. On the same day as signing medical agreement forms I was already anxious. It took over an hour to work out an alternative way to pay. Fortunately I travelled with a family member who sorted it out for me. They used their cards. If I was in my own I would not have been able to pay for the operation. This was an unexpected hitch but I was not alone in experiencing some issues with the chip and pin system they have and other patients I met there also said the staff processing payment were unhelpful abrupt and appeared uncaring. This is a shame as everything rise was of such high quality.

This was my second trip to Nord Orthopedics in as many years for my second hip replacement. No simple decision commiting to 2 days in transit in either direction from New Zealand to Lithuania.
But the abundance of positive reviews from patients and access to their Facebook support group, made my decision easy - despite people thinking I was crazy to travel so far.

After having my right hip done in Aug 2025, I didn't want anyone else other than Surgeon Saranus Taravescius to sort out my left hip. Top notch wrap around service.

After doing lots of research, joining the patient support group on fb and speaking to former patients of Nord, I made the decision to go ahead and book my TRHR. I can honestly say that the whole process has been easy to navigate, all my questions have been answered .The whole team, admin, nurses anaesthetist,physios drivers and hotel staff are both professional and caring, I was extremely well looked after. I am 2 weeks today post surgery and doing well . I would not hesitate to go back in the future if I need any other orthopaedic surgery.

Great service and communication from start to finish. The whole operation runs like clockwork.

I wish to say a very special heart-felt thank you to the whole team Nordorthopaedics clinic in Kaunas.

So firstly to Ruta and others in the admin team, Ruta was my initial contact for surgery, for questions and requests. Their responsiveness and guidance gave me confidence in the whole process from day 1. Granted, it's not like booking a taxi and there are hoops to go through, but you helped me through to a brilliant result- thank you.

Secondly the anaesthetic team- both the epidural and the canula specialists who hit the spot first time and ensured I didn't feel a thing through the whole procedure. I didn't get their names as I was asleep.

Most special thanks go to the surgeon Sarunas (aka the engineer) who even though he's done thousands of these operations took the time to talk to me before and after surgery and was there as a constant contact if I needed him. And that handshake!!

The nursing team on the ward where I was supplied food and drinks as well as care and medication.

Finally the reason I am walking so soon is down to all of the above plus the vitally important physio team. From massage to my first steps to exercise and continued care for the next 3 months and more. Special mention to the chicken leg explanation of my surgery by Laimonas and the dedication and challenge of his team- I am eternally grateful for the start you've given me of my TLHR.

A final mention to Gerald and the other drivers who ferry people constantly between clinics, hotels and apartments. For their daily messages and logistical timings-amazing.

The other things that Nord do are all of the non-Nord advice. Eat well, protein and carbs. Get assistance at the airport. Years of brilliance at your fingertips.

I was a 62 year old with a problem I couldn't fix myself. I'd never had surgery, never stayed overnight in hospital as a patient, and never been to Lithuania. I'm so glad to say I made the right decision. Now to get rid of the bruising and get back to work.

Emilija was my contact and each stage of the process was handled very every well, i could not fault her. Comms prior to leaving the UK, on the day of travel both for departure and arrival were excellent. My stay at the clinic was made so much easier by the nurses. The physio post op was very professional.
One piece of feedback would be that the toilet faciliries on the third floor at the patient waiting area were very poor, dirty and door locks missing.
Apart from the above 1 small easily resolvable issue
the whole process from end to end was first class.

Extremely satisfied with the service provided from beginning to end. A potentially stressful experience, but with the Nordorthopaedicteam providing such an efficient and problem free service, my stress level was significantly reduced. Thank you Nordorthopaedics

Diagnosed with Medial meniscus complex radial tear in my right knee. I would like to thank the whole team at nord for excellent service throughout. Everything was explained and the surgery went well . Now back home recovering . The whole process from first email took less than 5 weeks .
Excellent value for money. Will be recommending to family and friends .

There are so many glowing reviews about Nordclinic that I will keep it as short as possible.

Firstly, I would say overall I feel so much more trust being looked after by the Nord team than I feel with the NHS back in England. The broken system, wait times, and some awful practices and caring I have seen back home had led me to my hip replacement being private and with Nord. And when the 2nd hip needs doing, whenever that is, it will most definitely not be with the NHS again. It will almost most certainly be back with Nord.

The whole lead up to flying over was brilliant. Neringa relentlessly answered all my queries back and forward over 20 or 30 emails.

When I go to Kaunas, the whole outfit was slick - every nurse, radiologist, receptionist, surgeon, anaesthetist, transport team etc.

Prof Sarunas T did my hip replacement and was excellent.

Prof Laimonas and Matas did my physio and this was tremendous to getting back on the mend for the first 10 days.

I'm sure I could mention more but I massively recommend Nord to anyone thinking about going for an operation.

I do have one constructive criticism. Sadly I had a hip dislocation on the same day after surgery. Apparently this is not common at all at Nord (I'm told maybe 1 a year so I was the unlucky one). The next day Prof Loiba took me back into the operating room and fixed this under sedation. It was a pretty fast turnaround. However, I think the nurses should have noticed faster that I had a dislocation. I had to mention this at 2am in the night, and again in the morning at 7am, and they still tried to get me downstairs in a wheelchair for an extra. They should have known given the angle of my foot and my inability to get out of bed. I also saw the anaesthetist before the surgeon so all I knew was that I was going back into surgery, not why (although I had told them it was dislocated so I suspected why of course!) I think this happens so infrequently that maybe they aren't as good dealing with this. In short, I would have appreciated a quicker response from the nurses and seeing the surgeon to discuss before anyone else.

I need to highlight that because that is how I felt. However, I still think its a 5 star operation and everything esle from transport to surgery to physio to admin was fantastic.

From the beginning Nordorthopaedics were very responsive & informative via emails which helped me make up my mind and choose them.

When I arrived I was escorted from the airport - clinic - accommodation and everything was explained very well which settled my nerves. In surgery day they took care of me and after surgery made sure I was okay. I would recommend this clinic if you are also thinking of getting surgery abroad.

Kaunas is a beautiful city the people are lovely and the food is great!

From the very first email, the process with NordOrthopaedics has been seamless, faultless and just brilliant. I have been super impressed and if you are thinking about it I urge you to trust them and let them heal you! I have been home one week after a total hip replacement and am virtually pain free, I am mobile and independent & the horrible debilitating arthritic pain has gone. Although there are still months ahead with restrictions and cautions (totally normal) I am confident that I will be able to rejoin all the activities that I have had to give up whilst waiting for treatment from our over stretched & over subscribed NHS. I am a just a little disappointed that I didn't find them sooner.

I honestly can’t say enough about my experience with Nord and my time in Lithuania having my hip replacement.

The care at Nord has been excellent, the physio team have been brilliant and everything has gone like clockwork. But more than anything, I feel so incredibly thankful for the amazing people I’ve met along the way. Choosing Nord Orthopaedics has been the best decision I have made.

Just had my second big toe arthrodesis operation, it is just amazing how you are looked after from all the staff from customer services and logistics through to the medical staff and particularly the care received on the ward from the nursing staff. After returning home, it looks like this operation will be as successful as the first one and I will soon be back climbing mountains.

From initial contact with Emilija explaining the procedures and options was very explanatory and excellent customer service. Could not fault the whole process and would definitely recommend.

This was my second surgery at Nordorthopaedics Clinic having a very successful right knee replacement operation 2 years ago. Based on this very positive experience I had my right hip replaced at this clinic 3 weeks ago and the service and support systems there are exceptional. I travelled by myself with no issues. I highly recommend the post op rehab services that they recommend. I will be returning again next year for my left knee replacement surgery. Highly recommended!

Writing on behalf of my husband. Nord orthopaedics was knownto me via a friend who’d had knee and hernia surgery there, as had 6 of his friends. Everything he told me was true. From the initial point of contact throughout the entire process the communication and treatment was first class. 2weeks on the recovery is going really well and I believe it’s due to the calibre of surgery and 9 days of physiotherapy afterwards. There’d be no hesitation in returning if any further surgery was required, even if the cost of the surgery was the same here in UK. Their physio is the key difference it would appear

I found this clinic to be very good - particularly compared to the very much compromised and diminished NHS
