Faulty product & no refund
I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with MyErgo has been extremely disappointing from start to finish.
Before purchasing, I specifically asked about delivery times because I had already seen multiple complaints online about long delays. I was reassured by the sales representative that previous delays were “a problem in the past” and that my loupes would arrive within 6–8 weeks.
In reality, they arrived after approximately 3.5 months.
I trusted the timeframe I had been given and tried to remain patient and understanding.
Part of the reason I felt reassured purchasing from this company was because the brand is promoted by well-known clinicians. As a dentist, that naturally gives you confidence and makes you believe the company will be professional, reliable, and stand behind its products and customer service.
Unfortunately, my actual experience was the complete opposite.
When the loupes finally arrived, they were faulty:
* the interpupillary distance appeared incorrect
* there was a large scratch through the middle of the box
* one of the lenses had an obvious jagged edge/finish defect
I contacted the sales representative immediately and she collected them and returned the loupes under their money-back guarantee.
Since then, communication has been extremely zero from the company. I have had to chase repeatedly for updates regarding my refund despite the return already being received by them. Comments I left publicly on Instagram were deleted alongside other negative comments from other dissatisfied customers, and although I received a DM saying the matter would be “escalated immediately,” I still received no follow-up.
One of the biggest red flags for me is that there appears to be no direct contact number for customer support, only email communication. When problems arise with an expensive professional product, not being able to speak to someone directly is incredibly frustrating and concerning.
Looking back, I genuinely wish I had paid more attention to the Trustpilot reviews before purchasing. My experience unfortunately reflects many of the concerns other customers have raised regarding delays, communication, and aftercare.
The most frustrating part is not just the delay, it is the lack of transparency, accountability, and communication throughout the entire process.
As dental professionals, we invest significant amounts of money into equipment we rely on daily, and we should not have to chase endlessly for basic updates or refunds when products arrive faulty.
Based on my personal experience, I would not purchase from this company again, and I sincerely hope they improve both their customer service and quality control processes moving forward.
Hopeless Customer Support

She had used them about 5 times in this period, and after a few emails back and forth, they're now ignoring her.
So friendly and supporting during the lead up to purchase, and now the tone of the emails have shifted completely, to it's not their problem.
I'm now buying her a new pair, from another brand and encourage anyone to read reviews before purchasing anything.
Avoid
The customer service is really poor! My loupes have needed multiple repairs, the first time this took months and this time after I sent them for repair they haven't been fixed and instead one lens is not letting any light through whatsoever. Now trying to send them again for return is an absolute nightmare, email replies are inconsistent and I'm now another month on from my loupes not working and they're still yet to be collected for attempted round 2 of repair. I would not buy again from this company and would not recommend
Buy cheap, Buy Twice
I wish I had read the reviews before ordering my loupes.
I placed my order on 1/12/2025 and experienced almost no communication from the company. I had to repeatedly chase for updates, and when responses did come through, they felt generic and impersonal.
The loupes finally arrived in early February—and they were faulty. Someone was sent out to remeasure, and the loupes were taken away and returned to me. Shockingly, they still didn’t work. At that point, I had no confidence left and returned them, requesting a full refund.
The entire process was frustrating, drawn out, and completely lacking in accountability. At no stage was there a genuine apology or any real attempt to resolve the issue efficiently.
It’s worth noting that while some high-profile dentists on social media promote these loupes, that clearly does not reflect the experience of regular customers. Don’t be misled by endorsements.
To make matters worse, I wasn’t even fully reimbursed for the cost of returning a faulty product—something that should be standard as a goodwill gesture.
Overall, a very poor experience from start to finish. As I was once told: buy cheap, buy twice.

Placed an order last month, got no updates at all, contacted customer service on multiple occasions with zero response. Avoid this company. They were QUICK to send an order link but after the order is placed ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. I’ve had important cases which I’ve needed loupes and had to reschedule or cancel!!

Worst experience
Worst experience.
My partner has ordered his loupes 8 weeks ago with full payment completed. After the first day.. no response, no communication, no follow up. We are students here and we saved money for loupes so that we can work better.. however these people has left us in complete uncertainty and Unfortunately, the entire experience has been deeply disappointing and feels borderline fraudulent at this point. We have no clue where the loupes are, whether they have been manufactured and the representative have ghosted us from the day we submitted payment.Poorest service and so much mental strain. Please please strictly avoid buying expensive loupes from services like this who keeps you in dark and gives literally no information about your product that you have payed for; from your hard earned money🙏🏻

It’s been 7 weeks since I ordered my loupes I still haven’t received any sort of communication from them and the person who came to take demo doesn’t pick up my calls nor do they have a customer service department to receive calls.

Save yourself the hassle
The poor service began with a poor quality product where the magnifier repeatedly detached from the main glasses frame. I had to send the loupes back for repair more than 3 times, rendering them unusable for weeks each time, which severely impacted my work. On the last occasion they sent back a super glued lens to the mainframe!
Expressing my frustration they decided to issue a new replacement pair of loupes.
I urge anyone considering a purchase from MyErgo/Univet to look elsewhere. My experience waiting for a repair/replacement set of loupes has been nothing short of a eight-month-long nightmare, characterised by utterly unacceptable customer service, multiple failed promises, and what I can only describe as a total lack of integrity.
I spent over eight months waiting for a product I had paid for. During this time, I received multiple failed promises regarding delivery. You absolutely cannot believe a word they say. Every date, every assurance, proved to be completely false. They demonstrated a pattern of saying whatever they thought I wanted to hear to get me off the phone, with no intention of following through.
The situation became so frustrating and hopeless that I was forced to escalate it to my credit card company. It was only after I went through my credit card company to raise a Section 75 claim to get my money back that MyErgo finally bothered to contact me. Even then, their communication was insincere. They provided yet another false promise of a delivery date.
Considering the months of lies and failed deadlines, I refused to accept this new date. I had lost all faith in their ability or willingness to deliver. Their final response was to say they would contact me again if I decided to "change my mind" and accept the new delivery date. Surprise, surprise—they never contacted me.
In summary: they sold a faulty product, failed to deliver/repair for over half a year, repeatedly lied about delivery dates, ignored me until I threatened a financial claim, and then showed zero follow-up.
Do not waste your time, your money, or your sanity on MyErgo. Find a reliable company that respects its customers and honours its commitments for something you are going to be using on daily basis.
I urge anyone waiting for delivery of their loupes to raise a section 75 claim as this is the only way to get your money back!
