Cool Matching System, well-organized events
I liked the web-based platform for evaluating your potential matches after the event, it’s easy to understand and you get next day feedback/matches. It also takes the pressure off, as people don’t need to ask for contact info at the event. I like the variety of times, venues and age ranges that are offered too.

We’re really glad the Smart-Card system stood out. It’s our way of keeping the night focused on the fun part—good conversations—while skipping any of the “so… should we exchange numbers?” moments. A little less pressure in the room, and a nice surprise waiting the next day.

Going to my first speed dating experience, I definitely expected some awkwardness. That wasn’t the case at all. Everyone who participated was engaged, I never felt like I was having the same conversation with each person. My only reason for taking one star away is because it wasn’t a cheap entry fee and yet it didn’t include at least one drink.

We’ve intentionally chosen not to bundle a set drink into the ticket, as it doesn’t always suit everyone or every venue. Instead, we focus on creating an experience where guests feel genuinely looked after—not just on the night, but beyond it.
Guests who engage in the spirit of the evening are often invited back to future events on us—and in some cases, considered for complimentary Curated Introduction opportunities. It’s a bit of our philosophy that being lovely has its perks—often in the form of future invitations and meaningful connections, rather than a set menu item not everyone may love. What you’re describing is actually pretty typical with in-person dating. Not every room is going to be a perfect fit, and sometimes it takes a couple of events before you meet someone you’d genuinely want to see again. That said, we’re glad to hear there were at least a couple of connections that stood out—that’s always a great sign.
Each event brings a different mix of people, and we do find that guests who attend a few times tend to have the most success as they get more comfortable with the format and meet a wider range of personalities.
If you decide to join us again, we’d love to have you back—and hopefully turn a “hit or miss” into a clear hit.

We need more serious men.
I enjoy going to the events and typically have a good experience! However, I’ve matched with multiple guys who ended up telling me they’re actually not ready to date. It’s happened multiple times, which is frustrating. Maybe they just weren’t interested in me and didn’t want to hurt my feelings. I’m not sure. But it may be helpful to find a way to emphasize that the events are for people who are ready to date and potentially be in a relationship.

Keep Your Mind Open
I've used this company sporadically for the last few years but always end up coming back. You never know what you're going to get. I've had incredible nights where I made new friends with the other women there, one night where I met the love of my life, and other nights that were utterly forgettable. It really depends on the type of people who show up, the vibe of the venue, and the MCD host. See what you find there!

Cheekydate event in Austin…
I went on a Cheekydate event in Austin Tx, the organizer was there earlier and made sure that everyone was spread out in a way that all the participants had a great time. Someone didn't show up so I liked the break time so I could go to the restroom or get another drink. Overall it was a great experience

Nice, chill atmosphere. Background noise of location not disruptive and easy to hear the other person.
They now do the date ratings and selections online. It works well, though I kind of preferred and miss the paper cards.

Chicago Cheeky speed dating was a smooth process. Easy checkin and met many interesting people. Was kind of hoping for some snacks or drinks and maybe a bell system but the host was prompt to move things along

Rather than offering set snacks or drinks — which not everyone may enjoy or may have dietary preferences around — we focus that value on the experience itself. Guests who connect well are often welcomed back with complimentary invitations, and at times invited into our Curated Introductions, helping us build rooms filled with people others genuinely enjoy meeting - at no additional charge. It's where being lovely has it's perks!
We also intentionally don’t use a bell system. Our aim is for the evening to feel less like an “event” and more like a natural series of conversations — ideally, a room where you wouldn’t even know something structured was taking place.

The event itself was well run and the host kept everyone notified of when to switch pairs. There was a wide range of age groups and types of people in attendance. The matching form to fill out afterwards was easy to use and allowed me to focus on talking to people in the moment.

So i'd never speed dated before... this being my first time I made sure to go in with an open mind. I had a great time!! The format seemed to fit me extremely well, the conversations were able to flow and I was able to meet some great women. DEFINITELY recommend you trying this out if you're tired of dating app games and feel like you don't really get the opportunities you'd like.

Genuine people who wanted to get to know one another
Everyone participating was there to meet a get to know one another, no time wasters! Each person was interesting and able to connect. The evening went fast, and I wanted more time with each candidate, having a little more up front to review profiles or a minute breather in between to collect thoughts or take a note helps.
