Musixmatch has honestly become a joke.
At first, everything seemed great. I got lyrics on one of my songs and thought this was a solid platform for artists. But the moment I actually tried to use it properly, everything fell apart.
Suddenly, I’m expected to pay $96 a year just to add lyrics? For independent artists, that’s insane. It feels like they hook you in with a good first experience, then lock basic features behind a paywall.
And the verification process is even worse. They claim it takes around 30 days—I’ve now been waiting 2–3 MONTHS with zero response. No updates, no support, nothing. It genuinely feels like your account just disappears into a black hole.
After dealing with this, I started looking into other reviews—and it’s the same story over and over: long delays, no communication, and people getting stuck in the system. That says a lot.
At this point, I’ve completely given up and switched to LyricFind, where things actually work. The difference is night and day.
If you’re an independent artist, I’d seriously consider alternatives. Musixmatch might look good at first, but once you rely on it, it becomes slow, expensive, and unresponsive.

This platform is helpful to everybody.artist, producer etc.

Musixmatch is the best app for synced lyrics! The accuracy is amazing, and I love how it works perfectly with all my favorite music players. It has completely changed the way I enjoy my music library.

Musixmatch is a very great app, and also the best for lyrics and song syncing giving an individual or music lover a clear understand of every song linked to Musicmatch. Musixmatch is know to be the best lyrics app

Seems to be a useful service, since Spotify, etc, don't have their own way to integrate lyrics. MM's interfaces are pretty dependable though they have an apparently ongoing issue with submissions not being recognized by their systems as "saved", written them a couple times about this but they seem diligent and interested in fixing it. Stay tuned.

L’interface demande un petit temps d’adaptation, mais une fois prise en main, le système est efficace et permet d’intégrer rapidement des textes destinés à Spotify et Apple Music.

En tant que producteur, j’apprécie particulièrement la possibilité de contribuer directement au référencement des paroles, ce qui renforce la visibilité des œuvres.

Petit point d’amélioration : certains bugs peuvent apparaître lors de l’édition ou de la restauration des brouillons, mais cela reste contournable.

Expérience globale très positive.

Main complaint is that everytime while syncing, when you press the arrow and you are half way through the song, on desktop, the whole thing automatically scrolls you to the top, which ultimately slowed down the process of quickly syncing before fine tuning

I was generally satisfied with the service itself, but my experience changed when I needed to cancel due to a personal situation and reduced income.

The cancellation and auto-renew process was much more difficult to locate and complete than it should be. The instructions in the help section did not match the actual steps, and attempting to turn off auto-renew was effectively impossible despite following those instructions.

The support response also took four days, which added to the frustration.

In the end, the only reliable way to stop the subscription was to delete my account. That should not be necessary for any paid service.

To their credit, a refund was issued once support responded, but the overall experience affected my trust.

Had the cancellation process been clear and straightforward, I likely would have returned as a customer once my situation improved. Instead, the experience created significant frustration and lasting resentment, which is why I will not be returning.

A clear and functional cancellation process is just as important as the service itself, and this is an area that needs improvement.

The fact that the only reliable way to stop the subscription was to delete my account significantly damaged my trust. Policies like this are short-sighted and ultimately cost them a customer who otherwise may have returned

It’s really intuitive as a platform and really friendly for contributors as well
