I officially hate Mr D and I have decided to delete the app. From now on I will be using Uber eats. I have experience several issues with them and kept giving them changes but they have completely screwed me over.

I just want to tell people , rather just use Uber eats that’s all. The driver ran out of battery before delivering and decided to mark it as delivered

Ordered and food was delivered 55 minutes after it was collected at the restaurant - ice cold.
We threw it away. You just cannot reheat cold chips.
To add injury to insult the driver was very arrogant and did not accept responsibility. Neither did Mr D delivery. They tried to appease us wirh a R30.00 voucher. Really? What an insult.

I ordered a chicken tikka burger with chips. Buy one and get one free special. The fillets were extremely hard more like rocks. The chips was very sloppy and oily. My 8 year old couldn't even bite into it. I had to discard the fillet away with dissatisfaction. Never would I consider buying from Nissas Palmview again 😔 Food should be made with pride . If you're not passionate about food then one shouldn't be selling food. The Tikka burger had no tikka sauce or flavouring. Nissas Palmview is certainly a disappointment.
Worst Delivery Service EVER!!!!
I have ordered from UberEats and Bolt Foods. However this was my first time ordering off MrD.
Honestly the WORST.
The driver had no GPS enabled.
Collection was exactly 7PM on the dot.
No live update on if the driver is on their way and I live 700 m away from the place.
Order took longer than 20 minutes to get here.
Left a few messages, hoping the driver would respond, and NOTHING.
Logged a complaint with MRD because wow.
Food was even slightly cold when it came here.
DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!

Worst service ever!!! I’m literally starving, the driver never showed up nor phoned or sent me a text to say they outside or have collected or on their way! What the actual hell ?! I’ll never use you guys again, also for me to get refunded only 50% back? How! I DID NOT RECEIVE THE FOOD FOR Goodness SAKE!

The driver was lost and I live 800meters from restaurant. My order finally arrived half an hour late, with ZERO communication after me sending multiple messages to him and trying to contact Mr D support which by the way no one answered, by this stage I had already placed a new order for the same food items from the same restaurant.
Only after logging all necessary steps to receive a refund for this order.
ISSUES EXPERIENCED
1. He did not respond to my messages, I sent multiple.
2. He was further away from the restaurant than my address, why he not using GPS? He is a delivery driver!
3. My address is 800meters away from the restaurant that should take the driver less than 2 minutes to arrive
4. The food was cold and wet and not at the quality I expected.
If it’s going to take a driver 30+ minutes to deliver food when I am 800meters away from the restaurant then the delivery is completely useless? I might as well drive myself to the restaurant, don’t you agree?
To conclude, my rage would’ve been suppressed should Mr D grant me with a full refund which they refuse, I feel like I’m having email wars with them getting nowhere.
I will never use their service again.

The most fu@ked up service delivery system. I will never use this service again. I pray that my money is refunded. 2 hours later no driver picked up my food. The restaurant had my food ready within 20 minutes.

Drivers For Mr D
Firstly I would like to clarify a few things as a independent contractor ( Driver) or SP ( Service Provider) for Mr D. Not really sure as which of one we fall under. Your contact says Independent Contractor as well as Service Provider.
Which to my knowledge I am not employed by Mr D.
Reading all reviews from customers, I fully understand your frustration. I do believe "Customer Service" is very important. Based on my experience, in most sectors in South Africa the lake of customer service is beyond poor.
As a IC or SP for Mr D we are faced with many challenges. And I believe customers are not really aware of it. The biggest challenges we have, starts with Mr D. For example
1) Fines that IC or SP tent to get from Mr D. ( Not showing up R240
Not being online R240, Rejected order R5 expired orders R10). And the list goes on.
2) Note not respected as IC or SP and more as a employee.
3) Orders that need to be collected 6-8 km away. ( "No Compensation")
4) Car or bike brakedowns "No Help" from Mr D. ( Your Problem)
The list goes on.
The second challenge we have are restaurants.
The delays on orders can have a driver sit upto an hour waiting for a order. We cannot notify customers as we don't have customers details to inform them of the delay. A note would be sent to Mr D to notify them on the delay. Do they inform customers I believe not.
The service from most of the restaurants and takeaways is really poor. Please note not all restaurants and takeaways. The few are well run and have excellent staff and excellent service.
The third challenge I find is the Address where to deliver. 90% are correct the rest are a nightmare, and this becomes the drivers cost.
90% of all customers I have delivered for. Basically monitor the driver on the app. But the rest don't really give a Sh***t
Some customers can make you wait outside the properties for a half hour or more.
Some complexs are a nightmare. No signs no numbers and worst of all, customers phone is on voicemail.
The fourth challenge I find, is the dangers we face on a day to day.
Whereby a driver can be robbed of money collected from consumers. Or goods being delivered to customers.
Mr D holds the drivers accountable to pay these losses. ( WHY HAVE A COMPANY IF YOU DON'T HAVE INSURANCE).
I BELIEVE IF YOU WANT TO RUN A SUCCESSFUL BUSINESS!!!
AND HAVE GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE. MR D NEEDS TO CHANGE THERE WAYS....

Worst service ever received, of you can call no service anytime at all... 2 hours late no food no notification from Mr D whatsoever and I had to phone mug and bean myself after 2 hours and went to collect the order myself ice cold food this is ridiculous and I am disgusted with you

Mr D Food is the WORST.
Mr D Food is the WORST food delivery service company I have EVER come across in my life. I have had countless incidents with them, mainly that they have issues with delivering on time, or even delivering the incorrect food items. However, this new situation takes the cake. I placed an order on JANUARY 31 that had to be cancelled, and so I requested a payout so my money was returned to my account and not their horrible app. They said payouts take 3-5 business days. Today is MARCH 5, and I have only received a partial refund. I have spoken to countless agents and they keep saying they are going to escalate the situation for me. They keep wanting to escalate the issue instead of refunding back MY MONEY. I have sent them my Bank Statement like they asked, and STILL NOTHING. If I could give you 0 stars, I absolutely would. This is ridiculous. You can take my money in a heartbeat, but fail to refund me my hard earned money. Order #DFD141230801. I repeat, THE WORST FOOD DELIVERY SERVICE COMPANY ON EARTH.

Never use Mr D food at all!
Mr D food is literally the worst app ever! Placed my order at 12:00pm and it notified me that it would be at my door at 13:30pm. It is now 14:10pm and my order has still not been collected at the store! Like in all honestly! My advice is to never, ever use Mr D food for anything at all.
Mr D and their drivers just don't care
Mr D drivers just don't care, they are untrained and unprofessional, they mark orders as delivered when they haven't and refuse to deliver to the door citing they are not allowed to and have to deliver at the gate, train your drivers to know customer service its evident you dont, they represent your failing service. Mr D customer service is atrocious and non existent
it shouldn't take more than 24hrs to respond to a query, or answer calls rather not have that option at all and a clear indication that they can't handle the capacity, you're just thieves and you enable your drivers and the resruarants you service to be thieves as well because how dare you not refund when everything is run like an underground operation. I am disgusted and dissapointed and will absolutely not be using your service and sister services as well. You've lost me and my entire family's patronage. Yall are sick
