Recently changed my vehicle and found the experience of changing my car details very easy to do on the website. The bonus was a small refund too, which arrived in my account 3 days later.

Terrible service. Firstly I tried to not renew, but the website was so terrible to use, I gave up in the end.

Now I am trying trying to add a named driver and the log in portal is broken …”site can’t be reached “ message.

(tried on multiple browsers too)

I’ve paid for a car insurance policy 3 days ago for a car I’m due to purchase this week - but the website crashed just as my payment was taken. I’ve been sent no policy documents and when I check online it’s still showing as being in the quote stage. I can’t ring up to talk to anyone and I just get emails saying “Please note, there is a delay in processing policies… Rest assured, we will honour your policy”. This is not assuring - especially as I won’t be able to collect my new car unless it’s taxed and insured. I have no proof my car is insured. I want to go with a different policy provider but Moja have my money (I paid for a whole year upfront) and the nearer I get to the day I collect my new car, the more expensive the quotes are getting. This is really stressful and frustrating.

I thought I had purchased new car insurance but after paying over £500 have had no acknowledgement, emails and get an error message when I try to login. I contacted Moja on a Web form and got a generic response with no explanation of what has gone wrong and some comment a refund would be made if no insurance being provided. Have now complained to Compare the Market who promoted Moja and complaint forwarded to Moja. Still no response, out of pocket and presume insurance not in place when needed. Do not use Moja. Have I been scammed?

Just wish you could speak to someone when you need to and not rely on emails

I have been insured with moja, 1 and month ago, my car was parked and someone hit and run. I started a claim with moja. They asked me for evidence and wverything. I have submitted them. Then whenever I am calling these guys they not giving proper response. No updates from them only I am having to call every week and they saying they waiting on liability. My car is damaged from 1 and half months and there exuse is waiting on liabilty which is not great. Today I spoke with a person, now after 2 hours of call they said they sent the eveidence through to third party I mean what have they done so far. I have submitted the evidence more then month ago and they sending it to third party today and in all this time misguiding me they waiting kn laibilty to accept the fault I mean when you not even shared the eveidence. They just dont listen and just delay it. So far spoke with them today for 2 hours. They literally said the point of insurance is it’s legally mandatory to drive on car. I mean I though I am paying insurance so my car is safe in case of any incident and I guess thats not what the company give insurance for. There have been literally bo resolution its been open from 1 month and 24 Days.

Up to now I've not had any problems with the insurance. The initial form that I filled in was straight forward.

Bought a new car and was really easy to swap details over online. Then put my private registration on , DVLA accepted straight away but currently under review by this insurance. Submitted Sunday afternoon and still haven’t heard anything by Tuesday night, been told not insured until it’s been confirmed so have been without a a car getting to and from work . Had to pay for taxis and rely on family to chauffeur me around. No way of getting in touch with anyone that submitting an email and waiting a full day for a response.
Definitely won’t be choosing this company again. Cheap for a reason

Really easy to use website, clear what you're getting, easy to add or reject on the policy's, and within my price range.

Everything went very smoothly. Very pleased with the whole process.

The process was easy to follow through, but it would have been more reassuring to go through it with a staff member just to be very sure.

this is by far the worst company ever, they take days to respond and some how they allow random people to hack peoples accounts and insure there own cars and then turn around to me and say provide more information, this is the worst company ever ! right now there allowing a random stranger to take over my policy and can't even reply to me

Extremely disappointed, took out moja insurance and was involved in a crash, when I tried to insure my new car with moja they told me they can’t insure it and I need to cancel my policy , wouldn’t tell me why nor could I get hold of anyone at all as it’s all online. When I then went to cancel I had to pay the rest of my insurance off in full even though they were the ones making me cancel the policy ! Avoid unless you want to be caught in this trap also and unable to speak to anyone in person

A few days after I'd paid two months premiums to begin my car insurance I traded my vehicle in for another, newer car. I tried to change the policy to cover the new car which was to commence the day after my old car's cover began, but for some reason MOJA were unable to do it, despite my emailing them several times (unable to 'phone them except for claims!). Finally I cancelled my policy entirely and got covered by another insurance company, but despite refunding the two months premiums (minus the one day I'd been covered with them) MOJA also took a £25 cancellation fee!
This company offer cheap car insurance for a reason - they's not fit for purpose. Shop around and pay a little more - you will not regret it....

STOP PRESS - I just received a genuine apology from MOJA and a refund for the cancellation fee. Maybe they're not so bad after all.....
